Martin Borgmeier takes on Bryson DeChambeau in the final set of the 2022 PLDA World Championship... Stay Connected With Us: / prolongdrive prolongdrivers.com/ Pro Long Drive World Championship Final Set | DeChambeau vs Borgmeier
what happened to this event? half the shots were blurry, audio is bad, the format is terrible and the whole thing felt very unorganized. Why are they all going at the same time? Where are the cameras to show where the ball lands and how it rolls out? was this a drunken back yard competition or a world championship?
I’ve never seen a long drive competition before and I gotta say, it might be the strangest thing I’ve ever watched. It almost felt like WWE or something
It's still unreal that Bryson can not only bomb it a mile but has the touch to win a US Open. Not to diss Martin, but Bryson is a massive talent with length and finesse.
megachodish in a way, not for me. I think they can have a competition without all the look at me theatrics involved, kinda hard to watch, really the short shorts? completely unnecessary
@@truckerhatusa1684 Megachodish? Wow thats a weird reaction. Im new to watching Long Drive, but watch and appreciate Tour golf and Majors where etiquette and decorum is the rule, but here the excitement and adrenaline seems totally appropriate and adds to the fun for most viewers as far as I see. Very entertaining Final.
@@jimralston4789 I hear you, I guess I am more of an individual and NOT a look at me kind of guy, no tats ect. I guess I was lucky to have parents that gave me plenty of attention as a youngster. I don't watch long ball either, I was just interested in seeing how far they could hit it which was impressive for sure, I enjoyed that part. I just would rather see a guy who was more sure of himself internally ( aka like a jerry rice ) then someone who needs to make sure the world sees him to be validated (aka Antonio Brown) . In my opinion that character leaves more of a legacy for himself. Just think about it. Just my opinion, no harm no foul. I would defiantly root for the humble guy to kick both of these dudes butts, especially the guy in the short shorts. lol that's just me, everyone is different I suppose . PS my favorite golfer is John Daly so that should tell you something.
@@truckerhatusa1684 I agree with you about Jerry Rice vs. AB. I just happened to be interested in upping my swing speed and have watched Martin Borgmeir's teaching videos lately. He is a damn good teacher but yeah, he has a bit of cockiness to him. Mostly he is just having a good time and loves to share his knowledge. I guess if I hadn't watched his teaching videos I might have felt kind of the same way as you. Cheers.
Bryson is an absolute force of nature; the fact that he chose to apply his and his teams’ analytics into “I’m going to become an absolute monster off the tee but still have beautifully soft hands around the green” and then win a major AND be able to do this?? Come on!
I imagine it’s actually frustrating. 3/4 of your shots are gonna be OB and unless you’re Bryson there’s no way you’re actually gonna be able to play those distances.
Gotta hand it to a tour pro...who has way more skill...besides simply hitting a golf ball the furthest distance. I have a hard time even calling this a sport. It's basically skewed towards tall people...with longer clubs...and more arm swing. Kind of a cheap hero biscuit thing to win.
@@JeffSmith-eq3kc Honestly, it's like making a big issue of the baseball player who can hit the longest home run....or hockey player who can hit the puck hardest...or similar things. They essentially mean nothing of substance, in the end. Hitting a golf ball distance is NOT a sport. It's just one small aspect of a sport. It's just making a big issue out of something...that really does not deserve it. What other trivial games can we make up that trivialize sport, on the whole? THis belongs in some kind of all-star game or similar...and then should be soon forgotten...lol.
@@joeidaho5938 Yeah it's not a sport, but how does that make it "mean nothing of substance"? The hundred meter dash is also not a sport, but you're not gonna say that being the fastest man alive is anything "trivial". Same goes for longest golf hitter.
When did they change the format? I prefer the old way where each finalist went separately instead of all at the same time and they actually showed the balls landing in the grid so we could see how far they went. Was way better than this chaos.
They can't ever get their shit together when it comes to long drive championships format. Go back like it was and quit fucking it up, and ditch the over reacting. Have a hefty prize. Not this bullshit that it dwindled down to. Have the competition over 2 days on a weekend. And not some fruity country club shit either...and don't elevate the tee box like you did one year. And don't do it in the desert where the dynamics of ball flight changes with temperature. That took the energy out of the shots. But for one thing offer 1 million or more on the 1st place prize. Does PGA still own the rights to long drive?
Congrats brother! You earned every bit of that victory with each and every yard. Incredible showcase by all of you. One of the best finishes I’ve seen.
When they hugged after the final round I got the vibe that they were just celebrating there shots all happy and pumped for themselves and each other, and who won was celebrated separately after. I really love the sportsmanship and celebration of everyones achievements.
Crazy Exciting! DeChambino right in there being a US Open champ arguably done on the toughest courses narrowest fairways and deepest roughs to do this is totally mindblowing!
I have been following Martin’s progress since back in 2016 when they had a long driving competition in Sweden at my home corse, man it feels great to me that Martin won this
The friendship was great to watch, and for everyone saying they are full of themselves in this event you want your adrenaline up to swing as fast as possible that’s why they were giving off so much energy. If you watch their RU-vid videos you will see that, they are both great people and Bryson has helped so many golfers and always takes time to help smaller channels and golfers.
I’ve not watched long drive for about 10 years and this was beyond weird! The commentators repeatedly saying “Bryson is such a stud! He’s incredible!” One guy in essentially Speedo’s, I mean if you’re a golfer and you prefer male company this must have been overstimulating!
Genuinely impressive that DeChambeau had a legitimate chance of being world long drive champion, obviously he's a skilled touring pro but this is an entirely different golfing discipline.
@@mark-ish hey dont hate it! It looks silly sure, but this is male energy and we need more of it in society today. Too many guys feeling timid and afraid to express themselves in a natural way!
Running around with the Ladies PLDA belt! 🤣 But seriously, Martin is really inspirational. I've been implementing some of his training methods and it makes me appreciate how hard he trains. Well done, champ!
Best finals ever.. Such good friends too, it doesn't get any better than that. The fact that Bryson can do this and still shoot a 58 on tour is mind boggling.
This is like professional wrestling combined with golf...lol. I'm amazed at how far they hit the ball! I know many on here are critical of the behavior, but I see it as them getting pumped up to hit. I'd be a spectator at this event.
The clothes he wears and the people he is around make him look much bigger. Big ass dude but put him next to someone actually saucing and youll see hes most likely natty
I like that they definitely didn't rig this to get the biggest name in the final. I'm glad that the officials gave Bryson a chance to get to the finals by himself before seeing the scores and "finding" the last ball. Just weird not to show where anything actually lands I guess.
Stacked T levels & massive Man Juice. DeBo just living his best life. And God Bless him for it… Next round of HGH and lipper of Cope short cut is on me, fellas. YUUUUGE ones 🤗.
