I think this is your niche Grant - do lessons with Good Good members, give lessons to fans/randoms, etc.! A lot of golf viewers through Good Good need more ways to learn about game improvement, I think you're the guy to do that! Stephen does the course, Matt/Bubbie are comedy, Garrett/Micah are matches and you're golf ed. Loving the channel, best of luck!
I agree as well. There’s a lot of great golf instruction channels on RU-vid but I like how he’s actually showing us Bubbie while giving us a tutorial. It makes it easier for me to visualize/ see the similarities in my own swing.
The best part is where he explains, "it's not the slide, it's the rotation" bit.. because that's so critical to someone saying they just need to fire the hips forward to hit a good ball.. no.. you HAVE to rotate in a coil with a constant low point.. but he's saying it's a special circumstance.. it's responsible coaching. Grant has a definite future in the gig if he wants it.
Imagine being the 1 heartless person who would watch this and see the pure joy that was on Bubbies face after crushing those shots and hit the dislike button.
Grant giving lessons makes me want to fly to TX to take lessons from him. Bro bubbie's face at the end was priceless man. It's like no one ever took the time to explain in a way that made sense to him until Grant comes along.
Absolutely love this. The joy and excitement from the boys is amazing. And it helps me out too!!! I’m such an over the top swinger myself! Will be working on this myself in my backyard net!!!
Happy to hear you’re going to be doing a tutoring channel, these 11 minutes alone show you have great teaching abilities can’t wait for more videos like these!!
This was surprisingly endearing and kinda wholesome! You can really tell that Grant's advice is authentic and he genuinely cares. Great teaching! Seeing Bubbie get hyped up and excited about the improvement was awesome. You weren't easy on him either just great, consistent coaching and feedback. Well done.
I’m a 12 handicap, and this swing issue (with my driver) is literally the only thing holding me back from lowering that down to 10-8. This is exactly the video I needed. Good shit Grant!
dude, that pause for a second to let the hands drop in to the slot took me about a decade to figure out on my own. kudos to Grant for helping out his friend, but also for putting this content out there for others to learn from. you can tell that he really enjoys helping other improve their golf game. that's a gift. keep on keeping' on!
But it’s not powerful at all.. and don’t worry it will be back. A swing change takes a lot of practice. You can’t expect him to fully incorporate it right away
What amount of time did you guys soend on the range to accomplish this? It’s amazing what you achieved in one session either way. Congrats Grant and Bubbie
The internet swing coaches are going to pick your lesson apart because of your verbiage. But here’s the thing. A good swing coach knows there is a difference between “feel” and “real”. Also a good swing coach has the ability to give his/her student information in a format that the student can understand. And every student will understand uniquely.
This is such a great educational video. I have struggled with this tremendously and am very excited to hit the range and practice this. All the instructor videos I’ve watched and seeing you break it down with a person and put it in basic terminology is awesome. Thank you!
Love this. Who'd have thought Bubs could draw that thing!! I knew this had happened when they kept telling him to hit a draw in one of the recent videos! Happy for him. Great work Grant!!
Watched this video yesterday and added 20-30 yards to my drives and second shots TODAY! Awesome channel (along with GM Golf). You fixed me and Bubbie! Keep up the good work Grant!
Actually nice to see someone who plays so good give back and help someone try to get better. Most golfers who excel at the game are usually stuck up and don’t help the average golfer correct their swing or give them swing advice. Well done bud. Out of everyone of the group you’re the one who decided to help bubbie with his slice. You’re awesome my guy
Grant, I usually deal with a hook and I started to try “sliding” more at the range today because I saw how much it helped Bubbie from your recommendation and I’ve never hit golf balls so pure and far in my life. Thanks bro!
This was great. I don’t slice often, but fascinating to watch to improvement. And Bubbie has a great attitude. He simply listened and tried what Grant was saying.
Most deserved sub I’ve ever given. I NEED more of this. Got me excited to fix my swing. Just got off a lesson and got good results and this is solidifying my swing thoughts, can’t wait to hit the range
This video changed my game. I had the same swing as Bubbie. I watched this video earlier this week and tweaked my swing. Broke out the alignment stick. And today I took it to the course. Thank you so much for making this video and explaining it the way you did. 👍
Llistening to the joy that grant has in his voice, while bubbie's golf swing is improving, it just brings a natural, child like smile to my face! I love this about golf.
Hi Grant, thank you so much for the tip you provide to Bubbie. I applied the tip today in the range and I am able to hit my driver much solid with a little draw on the path. Very useful tip, and make my driver swing 100 times better. I have not had that solid impact driver swing for a long time. Thank you again and keep up your hard work!
I'm a big Bubbie fan from day one and Grant coming through for him with some clear and solid advice has just upped his ratings in my book. The group at the moment works really well and its showing in everyone's game.
I am a high school English teacher, and I understand the joy you are feeling as you see your student gain understanding. Congratulations! BTW, my golfing buddy has a ridiculous slice, so I’ll share this lesson with him. 👏🏻✌🏻
Baseball player here and this video definitely helped me. I was Constantly pulling irons left and slicing my driver but tried on the range then took it to the course and it was much better. Thanks for the advice Grant!
I actually observed Garrett's swings in slow-motion on his really good drives and he does this beautifully. I've been emulating it in my own swings and started getting my drives to be a lot more consistent in terms of shot shape and distance control. I've once again started shooting in the mid to high 70s after a long break from golf. Grant nailed this concept in this video. Bubbie has great speed... can't wait to see him play some real rounds with you both especially in scramble formats.
Just wanted to say that the tips in this video helped me hit a bit more solid with my irons. Although I have more of a tendency to hit a straight pull, a couple of things that helped me groove my swing a bit better in my practice session this morning came from this video and the Good Good Labs vid on the the takeaway. I kept my takeaway low and slow and in the correct position outside my hands, and I used the feeling of a slight pause at the top of my swing combined into the "slide" feeling mentioned in this video. It really helped me feel that turn and drive down into the ball. Although I'm still pulling a bit, it was much better than last week's session, and the yardages are longer and more consistent. Way better feeling of clean strikes and power from this move. Thanks and keep it up!
GRANT!!!!! DUDE!!!! The joy you just brought to Bubbie was incredible!!! You, seriously, may have just changed this man's whole game. I can not wait for Good Good Labs!!!
Hit my first ever 380yd drive today with help from these tips(obviously with some roll out and a bit of tailwind). I’ve notoriously had a slight power fade and I could never quite get the distance I wanted, I was averaging 300-330 yd drives. After making some small adjustments that you mentioned in your video, I got it dialled in and going straight as an arrow. Thanks dude! Keep it up!
