🍤 Solo Run Rules: 🍤
►I can only use the title Pokemon in battle. No switching at all, HM Pokemon are required.
►No use of items in battle. Potions, TMs, etc. are allowed outside of battle.
►No use of skips/exploits. This includes the Pokedoll Marowak skip. Badge boost is unavoidable.
►The TMs for Double Team and Toxic are banned. Pokemon that learn similar moves naturally are allowed to use it but not the TM.
►I play on x3 speed and use the in-game time for run along with resets to rank these runs.

I didn't notice a lack of a script at all. Funny commentary and you are asking the real questions, like why surge has a trash theme. The other leaders are pretty good in terms of their gym theme corresponding to their typing, except blaine and giovanni.

Scott was gone for a long time and different people worked on different things. I worked on how to get the same quality video out while saving myself hours of scripting time. As for Snorlax, I’m not sure how much faster he could do considering you’ll go second every battle.

Been waiting for this since you'd mentioned it in an earlier video or stream. Snorlax run, let's effin' goooooooooo Seems a good omen to get Snorlax at the opening cutscene! Snorlax was the favorite Pokemon of a late pal of mine, so it's awesome to see it in action. I remember having fun using Snorlax in Stadium, and it's a surprisingly menacing big guy in Leaf Green. Especially with moves like Snore and Sleep Talk paired with Rest, heh. Kind of a top-notch tank, slow and steady indeed.

@@GymLeaderMatt1987Dude Mew might be the most powerful Pokémon in all of Gen1 try it with the following moveset. Double Team, Swords Dance, Rockslide and Earthquake. Then she'll be able to dominate the E4 starting at LVL 35.

It just means less time into doing a full script. I'm as good, if not better off, without it and I can take that extra 2-3 hours and put a little extra into the runs. It's just part of the creative process where I'm experimenting while views are a little down.

Lol, what? Body Slam in gen 1 is easily one of the strongest moves in the game. It doesn't do much in terms of coverage but it has 127 effective power with STAB and it's available after the second Gym, lol. If you are referring to it not making it to the end of the game, it's because it's an Amnesia build and EQ is needed for ghosts. Body Slam isn't a special move nor does it provide any coverage so it's whatever here but there are a ton of runs where it lasts the entire game.

Well the scripting part just takes forever. It's like an unneeded hour or two I can cut out to be more efficient and I've gotten pretty seamless with it. Practicing improv and giving some bullet points here and there make it to where I can just play more Pokemon, lol.

There's the big names, and a hard to please target audience (pokemon in general, never known a franchise so loved but riddled in criticisms lol). You have a proper layed back vibe with your runs that sets you apart. The 4/5 creators I can think of, you each bring something different. Just finding your people along the way.

All you can do is just play and play, haha. After that you can dig a little deeper and it's pretty satisfying. They aren't too complex or don't require a ton of skill though. You could do it if you wanted!

I couldn’t tell that this was off the cuff versus scripted. You do reference the run being optimized so you are probably pretty familiar and it’s not completely foreign. Do with that feedback what you will.

Yea, it's great but in terms of a solo run you basically concede every single turn and letting your opponent go first for the entirety of the game adds up in the final time. If it was faster it could save like 15-20 minutes.

Great video! Love Snorlax, especially in the show! Really shocked that beefy Snorlax didn't do as well as anticipated. Still made the A list though, so not too bad. Can't wait to watch more!

It did really well! The problem is with 30 base speed, you'll just always go second and the time really adds up over a whole run. You'll have to get with the new tier list. Snorlax is actually an 87~ in the new rankings I came out with for the Oddish video.

Badge boost is irrelevant when the real prize is stage increases. I have the precise number on the screen. A stage increase is about 50% of your base special while a badge boost is just 12.5%. Badge boosts are cool but they have nothing on actual stage increases or decreases.
