Dr Berg, I've now lost 30lbs using your strategies and I just hope that someone will put this in front of you to read. Thank you so much for teaching me the truth and focusing on what actually matters with nothing fluffing the experience along the way. I can't thank you enough for getting me tuned into my body and losing weight again. HSL and insulin are such a huge thing to understand, and you make it so intensely easy to take in.

Dr. B is the reason I have new hope and motivation. I literally listened to his lectures in my car one day and drove straight to Whole Foods...sat and parking lot and made the decision to IF and do Keto. It’s been a week and I lost 8 lbs. I will never look at food the same. It’s early but I keep coming back to listen to more info and it provides more motivation. Only problem I have is sleeping! Im hoping the longer I go I begin to repair that! And yes, I know it’s only water weight so far but I’m hopeful and determined!

Dr.Berg deserves his statue made in gold!! These days medical industries conceal everything from public but he's changed that completely and saved lives of millions of people like me. I'm 35 years old expat living in Chennai southern India I've never been to America my entire life so i wish to visit america one day and meet this amazing doctor personally and touch his feet to show my respect for him. I was someone who knew nothing about intermittent fasting or insulin resistance at all so being unaware n habitually food craving I used to eat a lot of ice creams,sweets,cakes multiple times a day because of which I gained lot of weight about 96 kg at 5'8 and I struggled to shed it but one day I happened to see Dr Berg's intermittent fasting video that changed me completely with regards to my diet especially made me very cautious towards sugar,refined carbohydrates consumption ultimately i not just started following intermittent fasting with exercise but also cut down sugar completely because of which I'm in good shape at 80 kgs feeling gr8 most importantly helping myself fall a victim of diabetes

Thank you Dr Berg. After watching your IF video last January, I’ve lost 60lbs and now weigh 150lbs, 173cm, 52 years of age. Feel much healthier and fitter. After years of trying different diets, IF really does work. I eat less carbs, eat only for 6-7 hours a day , consume a balanced diet. I cannot recommend IF enough. It’s a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I allow some days off if I’m with family or on holiday with friends. Even if I put on a few pounds, I’m str8 back on IF to manage my weight again. Best of luck anyone trying to lose weight 🙏🙏

I foolishly tried a grazing "diet" last year - eating tiny amounts of nutritious food often, but far less than the total amount of food per day that I had in the old breakfast-lunch-dinner routine. I put on weight, and this shows me why. The near-constant presence of insulin stopped fat metabolism AND loaded me up with triglycerides. OMAD on a 23:1 strategy has stripped 25 kilos off in 3 months. Cheers, Eric. Your analyses of the types of intermittent fasting and the physiological effects made my decision an easy one and the success I have enjoyed is entirely down to your work.

Hi Dr Berg! I currently studying the personal trainer course and came across the contradictory statement in the study book about the fat burning. Contradictory from the point of view how you explain it , which I trust the most. Let me just insert the quotation from the book: "..Fat can only be metabolized via Krebs cycle oxidation. It is essential to recognize that a reduction in Krebs cycle intermediates: whether it is the result of (1) low carbohydrate diets, (2) no carbohydrate diets, or (3) excessive prolonged aerobic sessions, resulting in a diminished rate of ATP production from fat metabolism. When carbohydrate stores are depleted in the body, the rate at which fat is metabolized is reduced. Therefore carbohydrates are essential in the ability to metabolize fat. It is only the free fatty acids that are metabolized via the Krebs cycle that are used in ATP production that go toward reducing bodyfat levels..." In other words we are lacking the ability to burn fat in the absence of carbohydrates......May be I do not interpret it correctly....Will appreciate your explanation on this 'cause it's important to understand fully in my profession and you are the most confidential source of this specific information for me. Thanks!

Dr. Berg's videos has helped me go from a size 15 to a 6, no more hotflashes I sleep better hair is growing an I feel awesome in my skin despite getting negative comments from my family and friends. They were all used to seeing the heavy Maureen an now they tell me I look too skinny. My partner of 15 yrs started criticizing me because he said I was fine the way he met me yrs ago. I tried to explain to him I was full of sugar, bread, junk foods an pre-diabetic. We are no longer together an guess what he has diabetes. Me i'm doing fine. So my story was to let you know, IGNORE those negative heads an do you girl an be HAPPY. If I can be of any support for you to stay positive request me on Facebook if you want too or e-mail me at mothesinger@yahoo.com. I want to use this life part of my life to help others like Dr. B does everyday with his videos. Take care girl an know you CAN do it.😀

Jayne Powell Get someone to talk to who understands your situation and doesn't try to change you or lure you away from your path. Get time off from people who make you feel bad, invest on positive relationships. Get at least 7,5 hours of sleep a day and if you can find Ashwagandha-herb, start using it. That has been a tremendous help for me who suffers from burnout and depression & lack of stress tolerance caused by it.

The Netflix documentary What the Health is crazy...blames meat and not sugar for the world's health problems. It doesn't mention Keto and vilifies fat. Seems crazy to me. Dr. Berg I wished they would have interviewed you.

How I wish Dr Berg's knowledge is documented properly and broadcasted through tv channels all over the world.Because you know not all are having access to RU-vid like us.All these gems should be spread to help millions/billions of people taking care of their health. Obesity/high BP/Diabetic patients might dropped drastically in number.

Without insulin.. Your blood sugar will get too high and you would probably die. So it's not bitchy. People these days take a lot for granted and keep eating and snacking all the time. We need to heal ourselves now more than ever..

Thank you for your videos. I'm on day 11 of Keto and have lost 4 and a half kilos. I feel great and have changed to only eating 1 meal a day. It helps to understand the whole process of keto and how fat gets 'burned'.

low carb, don't ever do NO carbs. You need balance, but keep the carbs low. The problem for many with low carbs is that people start with low and gradually add so it's not low anymore. Carbs, especially glycose is addicting.

@@RedlioNxTR definitely agree. but what's a good number? 100g daily? assuming you exercise of course.
@RedlioNxTR

@@BigV24 it's hard to give a specific number. First, I'm not medical expert so do your own research or consult your doctor. But while I was doing ketogenic diet, i didn't eat more than 50g.

Aren’t there smaller details you’re leaving out that result in a higher protein diet affecting lipase? Such as protein being highly satiating, therefore reducing snacking or substituting a high protein diet for a high carb/sugar meal?
@Pjhchase

Yes you're right. Healthy fats, vegetable(fibre), and protein in general makes you fuller. Simple carbs and starch is the easiest to be digested.
