Hi Cassey. Truly enjoy your videos. I just found them on RU-vid and I am going watch all of them. You have a great conversation instructional method that I find very understanding, logical and pleasant. I will just make two comments. The word “posh” that you use I believe to indicate formal, is a word very seldom use in every day English language, English speech by Native American speak Native American English speakers. I think that they would we would understand and prefer when you use the word “formal versus informal” or familiar. My second comment is, I don’t think there are normal sentences in English. You use that descriptive adjective as well. Let me suggest that you use the word regular English sentence. Thank you.

Hey! I don't know if it is the same meaning in the US, but I use the British meaning of "posh" here, which is "refined or upper-class way". I did not mean formal when I said "posh" :)

Is it me or do the French aspirate at the end of words? For example when saying merci. I hear something like Mercih

whats the difference between combien de and combien?
@cassyparlefrancais
@cassyparlefrancais 2 месяца назад
Hey that's such a good question! They both mean the same thing. The difference is that "combien" will be used at the end of a sentence or as a stand alone word. For example: "- tu peux me prêter quelques chemises ? - pas de problème, il t'en faut combien ?" But if it is followed by another word within the same sentence, then it changes to "combien de" For example "Il te faut combien de chemises ?" "J'achète combien de baguettes ?" Etc. does it make more sense?
