I've realized that the higher my gear score it's the harder it is for enemies to kill me. Enemies that were at a higher gear score than I was, like certain wolf camps could kill me easily. But after I passed 250 gear score I could walk through those camps easily.
Hey Man thank you so much for this info i just started Breakpoint and i found a gun i really like, now i know i dont have to get rid of it right away for a better gear score! if i am understanding this correctly
At gear score 300 I can kill a behemoth with 3 shots not using sharpshooter. If you’re playing with a gear score at 252 and join someone’s lobby that has a lower gear score the game will balance for the difference. My gear score 300 koblin kills behemoths in less than 11 seconds. My gear score 250 koblin takes 1min 30 seconds. This video is completely wrong
I don't think GS don't have any effect. I think there is a stat we cannot see that is affected by GS. I bring my friend along in my Camp Kodiak farming. I was at 232 he was at 153. He is always going down 1 or 2 shots from the wolves, while I can take the same shots no problem. maybe there is a hidden damage mitigation stat that was determined by our GS?
Yeah, I mean there are other stats like handling, accuracy, technique cooldown, health regen, stamina, etc that are going to be more beneficial in things like pvp or just other pve content maybe like the raid, but for general play, it doesnt matter
The game is giving me missions in high gear score areas and I'm only gear score 74 so I'm getting missions in gear score levels 200 and up. I'm not sure why. I keep getting hit like a truck.
Thanks! So if I have 2 of the same weapons and one is gold and the other is say purple but has a better gear score, do I just get rid of the purple one?
Just hold onto it, you can have like 300 weapons so in theory you can keep every gun you find until you reach that 300 inventory limit, but personally I sell alot of guns or break down the higher tier guns to use the components for upgrading the guns I use most frequently. Also if you upgrade a gun and then find the same gun but a higher tier it will have the upgrades you did to any of that version of that gun no matter what color lvl. Like say you have a green M4 and upgrade it to MK2 then find purple M4 they share the upgrades you did. The only time this doesn't happen is if the title of the gun is different so like a "M14" would not share upgrades with a "M14 Assault". Hope that makes sense, only thing I'm not sure about is what the point of breaking down armor and gear (not guns) because the components you get are not the same they are "Gear Components" not "Weapon Components" and as far as I can tell there is no way to upgrade a vest or something so no reason to have "Gear Components"
I just got done playing wildlands and had so much fun.. i just got breakpoint a few days ago and am not having much fun at all.. the menus are way too convoluted and clustered.. Gameplay feels too floaty and the whole RPG loot and equipment leveling is super lame.
@@thr0nic yeah exactly. The world feels too empty with the GS turned off a doesn't have the same feel that wildlands did. Its alot more fun once you get to level 250 with all the good blueprints. That way you can just use a blueprint you like and buy it until you get the stats you want.
