HOW GOING VEGAN AFFECTED MY ACNE - I have struggled with acne for over 15 years, but about 4 years ago I went vegan, which ended up affecting my acne. Here is the entire timeline of acne updates, and how going #vegan changed my acne + changed my skin. WATCH MY #ACNE UPDATES HERE: • 🙊 ACNE UPDATE: I Stopp...

There is scientific evidence that what we eat can impact our skin, through metabolic pathways. The currently proposed ones are 1GF1 and Mtrok, specifically how they can impact hormones and androgens, along with the skin's androgen sensitivity. We have some diet and skin related videos on this channel, so feel free to check them out and always do your own research! xo and I hope this helps you.

Dairy is scary. I also had acne in my youth. I was a vegetarian and ate a lot of dairy products but none of these stupid doctors told me that the dairy products are the problem. Since I am a vegan, my skin is absolutely clear.

What is Vegan same here. And why would they tell you? Going vegan is no money in their pockets. I'm not entirely trusting of doctors. They always have a pill or vitamin as a solution with a "follow up" appt. costing an arm and a leg to see how the medication is going when earth provides us with this wonderful vegan food we can heal ourselves with.

Rosay Ramos What about sugar, wheat and grains? Sometimes this can cause an inflammatory response. Could also be a mineral deficiency or hormonal imbalance. If you tried diet, look into the next two items. Also, try to find a homeopathic doctor in your area to assist you. Can be different for women. When my sister addressed her hormone imbalance her cystic acne disappeared.
@Ash2theB
@Ash2theB 6 лет назад
Rosay Ramos Your hormones take time to stabilize. I was on the pill and it took like two years for skin to go back to normal and it was caused my acne to come back to before I was vegan. If you exercise it may help speed up the process. You could be also allergic to other foods too that’s why you should see a dermatologist to see if you are. I was told I can eat anything with olive oil.

my son is a strict vegan who does not eat sugar. He has the worst acne I've ever seen. He'd rather suffer with the acne than put the poison of accutane in his body. THAT'S how guarded he is about what he ingests. He's 16. STOP making ASSUMPTIONS!!!
@lunaprior4714
@lunaprior4714 5 лет назад
I understand your frustration, but I think it is then safe to assume that your son eats a lot of GLUTEN and unfermented soya, right? That mess with the hormones, too... Thise foods should only be eaten fermented, like the Japanese does it... otherwise they are toxic to the body!

@@dlynn101 How much fat is in his diet? Eating a high consumption of oil, or high fat foods can also cause acne, even if they are vegan. Nina and Randa talk about their experience with acne, due to eating too many nut butters and oil in their diet. They are vegan, and cleared up their skin through a low fat diet (no nut butters, oils, or even tofu/soy). You can find their video about acne on their youtube channel.

You must remember than refined and natural sugar are in every processed food, read the labels before buy and remember that if sugar is in the first position in the label that's mean the product consists mainly of sugar. Sugar is also potatoes, white rice, white flour, bread, pasta, honey, raisins, fruits. I prefer to leave in the diet only fruit's and potatoes but not too much. Dairy you must completely eliminate from the diet. By the way - detoxification of the body, drink infusions of herbs (2-3 glasses per day) mainly bitter herbs but also milk thistle, sage, mint, nettle, dandelion, tea from birch leaves, birch juice. Supplementation: Liposomal vitamin c, liver oil of cod, vitamin D3 (sun).

This feels so full circle. I remember subscribing when I saw your video about your foundation routine and thinking, man I found someone who I can relate to. I found someone I can learn from. I would make lists on my phone with all the makeup and skin care you used and that I wanted to save up and buy even though I was super young with no $ lol. I am turning 20 in about a week, and I have watched you since about 14/15. You got me through my high school years, when I was in and out of makeup. I feel like I grew because of you, and looked up to you because I related. I still go out and buy the products you use lol. I’m using the dr bronners, and using tea tree oil and Argan oil. I believe I need to make a change in diet at this point. Thank you for being there and sharing your story and your incredible pain. I am so happy that you even message me back sometimes and take time to notice me and care, since I feel like I know you already even though I don’t fully 😂 I messaged you again on insta. Hey Cassandra! Im so glad you uploaded this video. I've been watching your videos for years, well ever since my acne journey started anyways.. You never failed to give me hope, make me smile and believe that it is all gonna get better. Honestly, my acne journey had a HUGE affect on my mood , as it always made me depressed, anxious self aware and sad. I didnt want to talk to anyone bc i was afraid that they would jugde me as harshly as i judged myself. And unfortunately in some cases this was true.And it hurt me so much, that i couldnt look myself in the mirror and i couldnt stop crying. I avoided harsh lights and my psychological health was shit. BUT , after finally three years of trying everything , i visited a new dermatologist and went on isotretinoinand this cured my acne completely. I mean i still have some red spots and pores but no active acne. The feeling is undescribable! Im way more self confident and happy about my skin, and although it severely affected my mood and mental health , im learning to get over it now , through exercise and meditation. Having acne is so much more than it being astheatically unpleasing and that us why we should accept evryone for how they are, and we should accept ourselves first. Im sorry if this comment is long, but i havent really shared my acne story with anyone, but id like to share it with you. I love you, you are strong, we are all strong and i wish you the best for life! Keep being awesome. I'd love it if you replied and expressed your thoughts on my story❤️❤️

Ever since that first video, I haven't really followed you, and I had very similar struggles and events, including the death of my dear brother, marriage, my pregnancy and delivery, having half my face paralyzed for over a month..it was a mix of good and really bad. It's funny to look back now and see how we took a similar route:) I too am vegan and have been for about 3 years, and also use a different detergent, no perfumes and no harsh chemicals on my skin, and a bunch of other stuff you said. And my skin is finally clear as well:) I loved this video, thank you so much for it !!

You are a very strong girl and a huge inspiration to so many girls who suffer or have suffered from acne and from the blame that society puts on them by asking "Why are you having pimples?" People who have not experienced what this journey is like will never understand the emotional destruction one goes through. You were glowing with happiness when towards the end your skin was glowing. It's amazing how happy we can become by having achieved clear skin. But just as much clear skin makes one happy, so too clear skin depends on how happy one is. If only people around us knew what a huge negative impact their unsupportive mean comments have on one's happiness and, by extension, clear skin... In the end, it all comes down to being humane. I will never understand why people have to be mean to one another by saying "oh, you have acne", "oh, you've become biiig". What are those comments going to do anyway? People seem to have the propensity to feed on one another's unhappiness. It is depressing to realise just how much we don't care about one another and how our careless comments can affect already sad people who in fact crave for support. Great job, Cassandra!

I am so glad you posted an update about the not washing your face 2 x's .. because I still thought it was a thing. (Morning before makep was only water) BIG oops ... Thanks for clearing that up. I am sorry to hear about your Grandfather. Heart you girl, and so happy you found veganism. I myself found that balancing my protien, carbs, and fat daily cleared my face a lot. Maybe taking it to a plant based diet will help even more. Hugs.

I've been watching your videos for years. As I've gotten older my cystic acne (thankfully) has seemed to clear itself for the most part, but I do still deal with a lot of scarring and the fact that my face is never fully clear. People with clear, healthy skin simply don't understand how utterly toxic acne is to the psyche. Comments like "girl, you'd be a 9 but that acne makes you a 4" (real comment from a pitiful excuse of a man) are DEVASTATING. But I watch you and see you overcome so many struggles and seeing you happy makes me cry. Like really cry. I am so happy for you, and so thankful for all the research and trial and error you share with the rest of us. You never had to, but you did, and you are totally beautiful. Inside and out. WOW! Cassandra.........................what a carefully crafted video! That was so.....cooooolll. You are truly beYOUtiful inside and out. Uhm I have something to confess. I went to the Derm. and guess what was prescribed (you guessed it) Accutane. I thought I was ready for it, but I went to the get blood work done and, long story short, I blacked-out. After I woke up It occurred to me that this is all so excessive. The Accutane, the blood work, the six months of dry hell I would have to go throught to have "clear" skin only to have my oil glands basically destroyed. So, I was to scared for acutane and as a result, yeah I still have scares, tons of white heads, and inflamation. But I'v started praying more, doing yoga ( realy rough at it so far), and starting to go raw vegan. Anyway, I dont know how much time I need to give for my skin to clear, or if it will ever, but im learning so much and I was SICK of knowing Accutane is altumatly the only option. Please keep me in your prayers. and a simple thank you to all you are, and all you will become. hope you can read this.

Pantothenic Acid AKA B-5 taken in large doses is cheap and clears acne totally. It thins sebum to the point it no longer clogs pores. I suffered with Acne that was very severe 30 years ago and went on a diet recommended by a dermatologist in a book I found. entitled Acne can be cured. That diet restricted all saturated fats. No beef, butter, thin liquid oils were ok. That diet did help me quite a bit..

Thank you so much for sharing your journey. It's amazing that you have this record of your life on RU-vid that you can go back to and reference at any time. After moving abroad three years ago I broke out in horrible fungal acne and have been struggling with it ever since. I know how horrible and debilitating severe acne can be. You are so strong and the fact that you figured this all out on your own is seriously amazing. Wishing you health and happiness always.

Okay, opening with the shallow observations. The first thing I noticed from this montage of close-ups is how breathtakingly beautiful your makeup-free eyes are. I know, it’s genetic and you didn’t have much say in the matter, but you also didn’t have much say in your predisposition for acne. You didn’t come away empty handed. Also, as others have commented, this video was quite an amazing piece of work. It showcases your intellect and work ethic. I would hate to guess the hours that went into it. It also points out the importance of a diary when you’re not quite sure what’s going on. I doubt I’m your target audience and I’m not quite sure how I happened on to your channel, but I know a genuine caring person when I see one. In chronicling your experiences, you have undoubtedly helped many realize they are not powerless or alone in their struggles. Real lifestyle changes can have an impact on health, both inside and out. Anyway, it sounds like you’ve come a long way. I’m glad you’re in a better place now. Peace and love.

Fair play to you girl !! : You had your reasons, you took as much as was feasible into account as you went along, you tried regime after regime on the basis of what works for you - without any sort of moral judgement on anyone else - recorded relevant information as it happened and arrived where things work best for you. Nice one !

This is amazing!!! I remember watching the first video you showed here many years ago on how to cover up acne. I remember thinking how beautiful you were, how talented you were with makeup, but still feeling bad that you had to deal with the degree of acne you had. I also had acne throughout my teenage and adult life, and was always on the lookout for how to manage it. I tried various skin care regimens and stopped wearing makeup (because my husband hates makeup) which helped, and I also went vegan for ethical reasons 2 years ago (after watching Earthlings)! I've also started meditating and doing self work in the past year as well. At 44 years old, I now get people telling me how amazing my skin always looks... something I would never have imagined hearing when I was younger living with acne. I am so happy I came across this update video, so I can see you glowing and finding happiness in life. Thank you for sharing your story with the world.

@@hello-sx2bp i know it does sound crazy initially. Heat destroys enzymes/vitamins and increases carcinogens. but as I follow it more, the more I see a normal SAD crazy. like I'm out to eat with my husband rn and everything on the menu is processed meats, breads, gravy, pancakes, etc. the only thing good for someone on this menu is the fruit. even the pecans are fried and sugared. i guess it's a matter of perspective. just leaving stuff in it's natural state makes sense to me

I do have acne but like a very small amount and to imagine how you have to deal with it and show it to the world that says a lot about your strengh. I admired you since day one, I dont think I could deal with everything you went through your lost which im sorry, your food allergies, acne, stress, society,etc. I cant imagine someone making fun of you i mean how heartless these people need to be negative with comments. Watching this video made me understand that your purpose in life is to inspire and keep doing it because through this video you made me understand a lot of things. I really admire you, you need to be more picky when choosing the people you want in your life you have so much positivity, your energy is so positive and strong and letting negative people walking into your life its just a waste. You are young, live the life you want cause you deserve it, you are so beautiful inside out that you deserve the best. Keep doing what youre doing and let no one nor nothing blow out your candle.
