If we go 8-4 with a top 50 defense something went VERY wrong on offense. 10-2 with a top 50 defense easily

Last time we were in the top 50 was 2019. Three years straight of having one of the worst defenses in college football

LSU is winning 10 games minimum this year. Offense is gonna be at or very close what it was last year. If defense is improved they will be deadly

Everyone only remembers those 3 god awful losses. Tiger defense came up with multiple big plays in all the Ws. Especially against mizzou, gators, texags and badgers. Held state to 14 which was one of its lowest outputs for the season. Same with auburn 18 points. Arky win was the only win that doesn't fit. For LSU defense to get to top 50, Turn a TD drive you gave up to a FG. That knocks 4 points off the score. Make an opponent punt instead of attempt a FG. That's another 3 off the board. Makes sense for CBK to go after Blake Baker. His mizzou defense did the best job defending JD5 and the boys.

I believe Dominick McKinley will be good to go as a DT starter right from the very first game against USC, and that will mean the defense will be very improved. And then if LSU's new play caller can call plays like he called in the second half of the bowl game with Wisconsin and not like he did in the first half of the Wisconsin game, then LSU's offense will be off the charts.

LSU only needs a top 50 defense to get to 10-2. All our toughest games are at home outside of the TAMU game. With the best OL in the league, a skiled RB room that is getting to run behind that OL with a new running scheme and emphasis on running, and a QB that is primed and ready to take off, LSU only needed an average defense. LSU goes undeafeated in the regular season with a top 30 defense. We don't play any super elite teams on the road, and our tough home games are going to be at night in Death Valley.
