The HP ENVY TE01 line of computers deliver great bang for the buck and are a good choice for creative work such as art, 3D animation, video editing and more. It is also a capable gaming machine. With its 8 core Intel i7 CPU and 16 GB of memory, the TE01 2275xt also sports an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Graphics card and these days, any of NVIDIA's 3000 series of GPUs are hard to come by. So i was wondering, as I am looking for budget towers for possible wfh options, with the initial specs of this model, would it support a dual monitors setup? Or will i need to add an extra video card into the tower? And if so, which card would you suggest to do that?

Question. Is there an unused M.2 slot for expansion? Some models have one M.2 for the SSD stick and one for the Wifi module, so they are all in use. -Leon

Hi Leon. You are correct. Both M.2 slots come pre-occupied. One of them contains the wireless card, while the other contains the SSD.

@@Joeherman I want to eventually put in a 3090 and improve the airflow. Plus adding water cooling wouldn't hurt

Hi. I mean, if it is was me, If you want to get into swapping motherboards and all the rebuilding that you would have to do for that, unless you already got one of these systems, I'd just pick a motherboard you like (like an Asus) and just pick up a case for it and build your own. Otherwise, I don't see any big reason to mod this one. Unless it is because you want to get the 3060 card, but like you said, the reason you are thinking about doing it is because you are thinking about getting a 3090. So why not just put a temp card into the new build until you can get your hands on one. Does that make sense?

Port Question: Hi Leon the ports in front say 2 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 10Gbps signaling rate and then.... 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate. It loos like the two lower USB ports might be the 10gbs and the two top usbs ports are the 5gbs ports. Is that correct... I looked could not find. The system is Rock Solid I am enjoying the UNIT and Windows 11 is extramly snappy.

Hi there, you are absolutely correct. The two lower ports are the USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports (10Gbps) while the two upper ports are USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps). Thank you for your question and comment!

I built my own pc for around the same ballpark price and I have 2.M.2 With a total memory of 2.5 gigs and 32 gigs of ram 750 wat PSU and a 3060oc edition and a 12th gen I5 always better to build your own if you think you are up to it.

This PC's cpu overheats quickly even though I have been using it for a week. Do you have any tips on how to cool it down?

Hmm. Overheats? Can you be more specific? I don't seem to have that issue. Does the computer alert you or want to shut down? There is a fan installed on the CPU which should cool it. Is it spinning and working? What climate do you live in? Is it very hot there?

@@Joeherman it doesn't automatically shut down, but the cpu goes over 90°C and the stock fan runs fine. I live in a fairly hot coastal climate

Hmm. Maybe you can install another fan or cooling system into the case... Is your room air conditioned? Air conditioning helps. Otherwise maybe call HP and ask them whether 90 degrees is acceptable. If it is not powering down or shutting off, then it may very well bewithin acceptable tangle. CPUs are designed to get hot, especially depending on the work you do. What kind of stuff are you mostly doing?

As good as it is, the NVIDIA RTX 3060 is the least powerful of the 3000 line. You may want to consider a system with a 3070, 3080 or, at the top, a 3090 card. At 5:19 you can clearly see a port labled HDMI. It's just covered with a plastic cover.

Nobody uses hdmi output, it not a TV resource as monitor. Displayport 2.0 is the way to go! TV manufacturers are putting in software to test the source of hdmi! Computer, it gets trash!
