To put it in context for younger fans, Wade had the ups of Ja Morant, the defense of a Marcus Smart, and the clutch factor of Kobe all in one. My favorite player ever💯
@@Michael-lu2tz i say that because 1 wade probably is on par IQ wise and 2 he had to tell bron this is your team if we are going to be Champions ..understanding fully the roles everyone needs to play . i take that into account in regards to basketball IQ
I’d agree with that the thing that has bron over wade imo is longevity but at their best you can’t tell me they weren’t neck and neck or wade not being slightly better
Best shot blocking guard in nba history. His blocks on centers were just amazing for an undersized sg.Became a heat fan because of him and practiced my bank shots and pump fakes.
I'm a heat fan but I think he's the second greatest blocking shooting guard of all time Tracy McGrady was an amazing blocking shooting guard and extremely underrated
D Wade is what made me become a Heat fan, i always loved athletic guards who can drive in and dunk on a 7 footer, this is by far the most exciting type of player to watch for me, thats why i enjoy Ja Morant nowadays and i root for him to become an MVP caliber player one day. D Wade will forever be my favourite NBA player of all time, im not saying hes the GOAT, he just was my favourite to watch
facts. wade is definitely the reason im a heat fan today . and my favorite player of all time. he taught me my euro step and my reverse between the legs pull back jumper that im still surprising defenses with on blacktops and L.A. fitnesses around America today with
He played his entire career with one meniscus. You're supposed to have two of them bad boys so I would most definitely agree with the legendary comment.
If it wasn’t for MJ and Kobe, Wade would be the greatest SG of all time. He is definitely amongst the greatest defensive players of all time. I have him top 15-20 all time.
In his prime he was one of the most unguardable players I've ever seen. It didn't matter who you put in front of this man. They were barbecue chicken. He still maintained a high level of play after being slowed down by injuries. One of my favorite players. I've been a fan since he was at Marquette.
I saw him at Marquette as well. First noticed him because we have the same last name and loved how he played so watched him in college then on the heat.
Wade had one of the greatest peeks of all time and if Wade won in 2011 and got another finals mvp, we would certainly be talking about him a lot more maybe as a top 10 player of all time. Very underrated it feels like he’s starting to be forgotten
Yeah it’s crazy to me how people disrespect him he is one of the greats at his position joining MJ and Kobe on that short list of tier one SGs he’s top 20 all time for me in that tier with Hakeem and dirk and KG type players
@@ihatespaghetti2382 I’ve never heard anyone say klay above wade… If someone believes that they are mental. However, I think harden has an interesting argument for that position
DWade was so good that he lead Team USA in scoring in the 2008 Olympics (WHILE COMING OFF THE BENCH AND RETURNING FROM A CAREER THREATENING KNEE INJURY) on a team that included Kobe Bryant, Lebron James’s, and Carmelo Anthony.
I spent so many afternoons watching him play with my grandpa, what a phenomenal player.. few times did I ever see my grandpa say wow to something.. many and often it was something Dwayne Wade did
Revision is history, lots of folks said he was the closest thing we've seen to MJ when he was kicking butt in the 2006 finals. MJ actually called him after he had a bad game.
I remember power forwards going up for dunk , and Wade would slap bodies , pull down the ball , then strip it away. I've never seen anyone else at his height do that . His defensive stops where amazing even after he stopped being an all-star.
I know it may sound crazy to some but Dwyane Wade was the closest to MJ to me just crazy athleticism and unbelievable midrange never really shot 3 pointers. Great shot blocker as well and always came through in clutch with the big shot!! My favorite player ever !!!
We stopped comparing Wade to Michael after LeBron won his 1st Championship and went on a winning tear for the rest of his career. But b4 that, Hell yeah, Wade was definitely certified to be compared to Michael Jordan especially since Kobe was older
The other aspect to Wade was how he was able to adjust his game as he got older and his body wore out. He learnt to stop relying on his once crazy athleticism, and developed a polished all round game. He became a great playmaker and deadly in the post and from mid-range. He still had the speed and elevation to get to the basket when he needed as well. He was also a true entertainer - you never knew what he was going to do.
Wade is the greatest of all time, he was just very overlooked by everyone. As a long time Wade fan, his injuries brought me a lot of frustration but it never changed my mind of how brilliant this guys game was. When he’s ready and completely focused, he is unstoppable on both ends of the floor. His skill level and overall IQ is unmatched. Wade is patient, calm and relaxed. Even with Lebron on the Heat, the fans wanted Wade to still do his clutch thing to save the day. Lebron was never better than DWade, that’s why he shrank like that in the 2011 finals. He didn’t realize how great Wade could become when he’s ready. Lebron couldn’t keep up with Wade and his balls shrank. That’s how good DWade was.
I havent seen you in years bro i would always agree with you on these takes with my old account. But yeah Wade is the goat. He won finals mvp at only 24 years old. Thats younger than Jordan lebron or kobe.

D wade a top 5 favorite player for me but stop smoking heroin when u claim d wade is the greatest of all time when there isn’t one major thing he tops lebron in.
Favorite player of all time no question. Beating the Mavs in 06 is the most underrated finals performance ever for me. He went full blown super hero for the heat that year at a young age
Wade always has been underrated even tho he was a straight killer. One of the greatest ever and 3rd best sg. 2nd best if it wasn't for injuries!! Yes I said it
There's a lot to like on Wade's game. Be it on offense or defense, this guy is top tier. I personally think he's the best on splitting the defense BY FAR! Yes, even better than Iverson and other ball handlers you name it. The way he slits through between defenders with shoulders almost vertically aligned on the ground is just a thing of beauty.
Prime Wade was like the hybrid version of Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan. As insane as it sounds, the only comparison when it comes to Wade’s level of body control and cat like quickness is MJ. Stylistically to me, he played the closest to what I think MJ would’ve looked like in the 2000s. Kobe looked like he learned his moves from MJ, whereas Wade looked like Jordan-like naturally. All respect to Mamba tho, who was overall better, but peak for peak it’s extremely closer than people think.
Straight fax. Prime wade was unguardable, and an absolute dawg on defense. And all this with a bad knee too. If he was as lucky as Mj and Kobe and his body didn’t give in, people would probably regard him as the 2nd greatest sg ever.
@@fjandinner3532 craziest part is, as athletic as, D-Wade was in the NBA, he was actually MORE athletic when he was at Marquette. By the time he made it to the NBA, his athleticism declined because of a knee injury. So we never got to see peak D-Wade as insane as that sounds. D-Wades knee injury in college is up there with Larry Bird’s busted hand for freak accidents that happened to stars before they went pro .
@@johnnyblingg Exactly. Most people don’t realize that the d-Wade we saw, as good as he was, wasn’t his actual full potential. It’s one of those huge what ifs. Despite that he’s still a legend (arguably top 20-25 all time) and he gave us one of the greatest finals performances ever in that 2006 finals come back.

Young dudes, watch prime Wade at 2009. You will know who he was. His heart was so huge that he fought relentlessly despite tough injuries at his late career. His mentality was just strong. He was dam good and people just forgot.
Flash WINNING those Finals in 2006 was one of the finals moments that I personally missed during my military career, and the AI step over was something that our PLDC instructor came in and told us about in 2001; I missed that too. I did get to watch the Pistons beat LA in 2004 while I was in BNOC, but I missed some good NBA moments unfortunately. I have always been a big fan of AI though, having seen him in person at Georgetown U and while HE was with the Detroit Pistons years later himself at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
i remember being 10 years old seeing dwayne wade and the heat form the superteam. Def one of my favorite players and the reason I started watching basketball
In that finals against Dallas before his knees Caught up with him he was the Closest thing I saw to Jordon and single handidly won that series.. unbelievable
Was my favorite player going into that 03 draft. Immediate impact player I always argue that during those first 5 years Wade was just as important as Lebron to the Cavs.
You should have talk more about the 2016 playoffs. That was wade’s last moments of flash before becoming father prime. He was excellent against charlotte and i was reminded of 08-09 dwade against the raptors.
Wade County baby! My top 3 all time. And off the court he's become an amazing father, ambassador of the sport, voice of the people and TV personality. If there was ever a star I wanted to me it would be him!!!
was literally just thinking about this the other day after watching highlights... dude is low key underrated. and I mean that as a meter of fact not like a hot take... he's probably in the top 20 best players ever. but that's when it gets dicey
Hey! I love your videos man. I would love to see one of Manu Ginóbili. Been Argentinian we grew seeing Manu and the spurs, we saw him winning the gold medal in de 04 Olympics. I think it would be a really good video.
Michael Jordan and Kobe were great. If I’m building a team? Give me D Wade. Dude is a Hall of Fame PG AND SG with First Team All-Pro defense and commitment. He can be whatever the team needs him to be at the 1-2 spot.
Dude did magic. He'd hit shots he had no fucking business making. Double clutching into a layup when he's parallel with fucking ground from getting a lariat and1 type shit. 30ppg scorer at his best, probably my favorite player of all time, I was like 10 introduced to basketball by Dwayne Wade. Also, embarrassingly, my jumpshot in 2k is always Dwayne Wade
He was never underrated to us in Miami ;-) D-Wade is to Miami what Magic and Kobe are to the Lakers, what Jordan is to Chicago, etc. Our all-time franchise player.
Look up his best plays, usually involve a crazy block or steal to then drive down the court for the game winner: three pointer, mid range fadeaway, dunk, etc.!
Wade had a different set of skills than the superstars today.. a 2 way player, pure mid range, natural passer and unstoppable when he drove.. to put it in perspective.. no one today is nearly close to prime Wade, all around skill wise and IQ..
He was a lot better than I think a lot of people realize, especially younger fans who didn’t watch him play in his prime. People tend to think of him as a non-shooter, but that’s only true with regards to 3-pointers and long range 2s. I’ll say he had an ability to just take over games on both ends that we’ve rarely seen from guards, especially one who’s only 6’4. At his best i’d say there’s only maybe around 10-15 players who were definitively better than him in history.
Man I’m 26 year olds right now born and raised in Miami, I grew up watching every Miami heat game from 8 years old, my freshman thru senior year high school were our 4 Lebron years..this video brought back soo many memories! Miami dade county will forever be Wade county
Wade went to Richards HS in Oak Lawn, IL playing for the Richards Bulldogs. My cousin and I use to hang out in the Oak Lawn area south suburbs. We use to go to the movies as Chicago Ridge mall and play basketball on the courts all across town. Best days of my life, I tell you.
I never saw NBA game in my life but fortune enough to know all these superstars because of NBA 2k11...I used to pick LA Lakers as Kobe was my favourite...but when it comes to face off with heats...the trio of Labron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bose makes me nervous all the time...I am so lucky enough to know so many NBA super stars because of NBA 2k 11....😅😍
Many seem to get it wrong why Im not a huge Dwayne fan. Biggest reason was when I grew up and watched him play was he style of "attack the basket". It was effective and he build his career with that. Im more of a shooting, passing and rarely drive to basket (more likely get near the rim with screens and cuts) type of guard. I respect him as a player and think he deserves his Hall of Fame position.
