How GRIAN became the "WAR MAKER" in Hermitcraft 

Ren has technically started more wars, but Grian tends to take more initiative in storylines.

Hermitcraft is a good representation of the Butterfly effect where a simple prank can turn into a full blown server wide war and change the course of history itself

Grian (Gree-an) Definition: a person who makes war for no reason How to use it in a sentence “War? You’re not becoming a Grian are you?” “You’re such a Grian.”

Having a grain in your server is the best thing

It all started when Mumbo lost his trident. Then Grian with Iskall encased Mumbo in obsidian leaving a chest with a trident to replace the lost one. Mumbo is thankful and gave Grian a shulkerbox with obsidian on top with the rule that he cannot break the obsidian with a pickaxe. Grian just used a piston. Mumbo learned from his mistake and gave Iskall an encased gift with diorite inside. Iskall used the diorite to prank False because of her victory during the Head Hunt. Then Cleo found the build and blah blah blah.

I’d argue that the civil war began with the fork of friendship, since the following obsidian pranks are the reason Iskall had so much spare diorite

Actually, if you go even further back in the prank war, it was actually Iskall changing a sign at Cleo's ship that really set things off. He denied doing that the entire war but then after it was done, he showed a clip at the end of a video revealing that it was him changing the sign all along.

Grian is gonna start an actual resistance he’s gonna pan out in a coming episode and then he’s gonna be like “yeah so ive got an actual resistance started…”

It's basically a network or tree of pranks in the S6 civil war. False steals Iskall's Grian heads and wins the game after a recount --> Iskall builds a "Chicken in a Grian costume" above False's base --> --> Cleo changes the sign to accuse Ren instead --> --> --> False pranks Ren with Grian's help due to the "Grian will help you with any prank" coupon --> --> --> Ren pranks Cleo for changing the sign along with Doc and Impulse --> --> --> --> Iskall adds a sign in Grian's base luring him to Ren's trap --> --> --> --> --> Grian falls for it and gets Doc and Ren back by stealing from the stock exchange with Tango. Tango disguises as False and Grian disguises as Mumbo who is disguising as Grian. --> --> --> --> --> --> Doc, angry at Tango and Grian "touching his bush", gets Xisuma and Wels to sabotage Tango's elytra rockets and kidnap Poultry Man's chicken. This is the most confusing part as Poultry Man has no relation with Grian whatsoever. --> --> --> --> --> --> --> Iskall and Stress attempt to rescue Poultry Man's chicken Sally, but she sadly dies. --> --> --> --> Cleo, Joe and Jevin prank Impulse by creating a "don't kill people" sequence of rooms --> --> --> --> --> Grian makes it ironically lethal by adding lava --> --> --> --> --> --> Joe gets Grian back for ruining the message of the prank by pouring lava over his base --> --> False and Ren prank Iskall by building a diorite cake above his sandcastle --> --> --> Iskall gets Grian's tnt services to blow up the cake (and his castle)

I think Grian is trying not to be predictable this season, along with spending less time on the Hermitcraft server to enjoy other things, including the ability to go outside

Grian made some pranks in s6 and that became civil war, He kept changing grass to mycelium in s7 and he made Mumbo a cool "tree house" in s8. Grian just likes to be different and mischevious like Loki

fun fact about the s6 war, the stolen vault diamonds were hidden in a hidden chest in Docs office. not sure if he ever found it but I did in the world download.

It's all the fault of False's Twitch chat, they were the ones that gave her the idea of using chorus fruit to raid Iskall's head vault (she credits them in her video, and as one who may have suggested it I was glad to see her try it). Then she seemed to think it was cheating so she only took 5 of them, so this whole thing was because of 5 little Grian heads. Even funnier that Iskall later revealed that chorus fruit was the intended way to get into the vault.

No wars yet, yet hopefully that doesn’t stay a yet

Grians that little brother who you all love despite his antics and nonchalantly ends up bringing the hermit family together and building that comradere. His Chaotic Neutral resonates with my Chaotic Neutral. Especially when you mix Grian and Scar, you got the little brothers and then Big Brother Doc who has this patience in returning the pranks to them ten fold like a Dad scolding them. He kind of looks out for them in a way. lol this is my favorite Trio.

Grian truly has an extremely powerful warmonger within him that he can rarely restrain, he single-handedly makes Hermitcraft 20 times more enjoyable of a series to watch through.

If you think about it, Iskall caused the season 6 war with the bird, and the season 7 war by deciding to create the 1 diamond per 10 * 10 area rule, leading to the hermits electing someone onto the diamond throne leading to the turf war.

Thank you for always keeping the hermitcraft tfans updated and bringing us high quality entertaining animations. I love and appreciate what you do and want you to improve and grow even more. Maybe a way of doing that could be taking some storytelling classes or whatnot. It sometimes be hard to follow the twists of the plot that you narrate and it can miss some important details or structure. I understand if it's not my place to suggest things that I feel are helpful feedback, you do what you think is best

ren has a real bad habit of escalating things like this. its like poking a beesnest, only to die because of the stings. not that i have anything against ren, he's a great storyteller and him escalating things this way usually end up with better content somehow. also, no matter how bad things may seem we know that the hermits will always make sure that there is no ill will between them at the end. i feel like there is more things happening behind the scene than we will ever know

Great video as always, animation is funny and on point! Also, any fans that haven't yet should really watch this guy with closed captions on. Between the accent and the admittedly strange names of the hermits, the results are hillarious. For example, "Iskall happens to have a lot of diorite, and we all know what happens with Iskall and diorite" becomes "is he'll have a lot of thyroid, and we all know what happens with israelian diorite".
