How Hangman Page Became a Top Star in AEW 

I wouldn't really call Hangman a Megastar, but what the guy has done over AEW's first 3 years was great TV. He showed a lot of character and had a lot of really good matches. I legit think he has the potential be a star just as much as some WWE guys, same as a lot of AEW talent. What I think he and a lot of those other guys need is that one year of just really good booking and storylines to put him over the top. What makes MJF a Superstar isn't gonna immediately work with everyone else. Hangman a lot of the same things Sami Zayn has and Mick Foley had during his run. Relatability, a funny bone, and ability to go with the best of them. With the right story, I could definitely see Hangman shooting to the top. Hope this heel run is something special, cause I would love to see him be Swerve Strickland's forever op.

In my opinion, he might be the most underappreciated and underrated AEW wrestler today. I mean as usual fans turned on him for no good reason revealing themselves as true hypocrites again and again. His journey to become the World Champion and overcoming all the struggles he had to face is something rarely we can see in Wrestling. It is one of the very best storytellings ever told in pro-wrestling. But something went wrong with putting him on a program with Punk but he could get on the track again with his amazing feud with Moxley. I believe the feud he had to have with Swerve dragged him to the bottom and to a place he can never get over with. I mean they tried to build a new star burying the existing one. I mean making him lose to Swerve a few times in a row is one of the dumbest decisions that AEW ever made

Hangman is not a megastar by any stretch of the imagination. I think that he is good overall, but maybe not what AEW markets him as, which is fine because not everybody can be. However, I don't think he is as bad as many people think he is. I think that a lot of the hate that he's been getting over the last few years has been warranted, but also overblown. He deserves blame for his role in the CM Punk situation (which is where most of the hate comes from), and he should've been punished for it, but that's on Tony Khan. He openly admitted to not taking advice, which I think is foolish-why would you not take advice, especially if it can benefit you? But the man is nearing 16 years as a wrestler, which means there's not much that he doesn't know about the business at this point, so he has the right to not take it. However, he gets talked about like he's some rookie who disrespected older wrestlers, which he did not do; it was just taken that way. Jim Cornette's (who actively hates anything and everything about AEW) comments about him don't help, either. Overall, he has done a lot for AEW. His two-year arc is one of the best examples of booking a babyface to the top of the card. He played an important role in elevating Swerve Strickland. His feuds and matches with the likes Kenny, Moxley, Danielson, and the Bucks are some of the best in AEW's short history. I actually think that some of his promos were good despite online opinion. Hangman may not be as good as AEW or even he thinks he is, but he is better than most than many people give him credit for imo.
