Have enjoyed watching your stuff lately, picked up a 2012 S4 from original owner a month ago, stage 2+ all APR, already spent (blew) about 5k more on aftermarket wheels and other stuff (original owner left it a sleeper). Appreciate you sharing the grind you work to get here, not some rich entitled prick lol. I'm 38 btw, been driving 4 bangers for 15 years when I had a further trip to work, had 5 kids and built a 300+k house. FINALLY able to afford the monster... Just to drive it 1.5 miles to work haha. Keep up the good work man! ZERO shame in living at home for a while, I hope my kids are that smart.

Don’t be embarrassed man. The average person has little to nothing saved and owning a home or paying rent isn’t always obtainable especially being young now with the price of everything and wages. i had an 06 acura tsx as a first car , not fast at all but isn’t bad looking at all especially for it’s year and price , just recently picked up a 13’ a6 , it’s an upgrade in every way compared to the tsx , sure it might not have the aftermarket support of the s4 but u can still make it look amazing and has potentials performance wise, i can’t wait for my journey with it

Awesome video Jake and extremely relatable. My first car was a 05 BMW M3 slick top coupe lol (manual and completion package😂). That was also about 7 years ago now (bought it before I could drive). We are oddly enough the same age and seem to be fairly similar. I now have too many cars and I’m trying to get rid of some because I just don’t drive them all. I currently still have my 05 m3 (probably won’t ever sell because how rare it is now) a 2013 M3 frozen white edition, 2009 M3 (sedan) in Melbourne red, a 2011 M3 coupe as well as a 2011 335 with the power kit ( very rare and it is lemans blue on saddle brown) that I daily. All of my cars I have gotten for nearly half or lower to what I could sell them for and all of them have needed a few minor things but that is how I’m able to afford them. They all love my wallet but thankfully I have a very nice job at a luxury car dealership. I’m also a full time college student so I 100% feel working multiple jobs. I get it all the time that my parents have bought my cars and my parents have helped me not one bit with any of my cars. I also run 2 side businesses along with being a full time student and working as much full time as I can at the dealership. It’s awesome seeing other young people enjoying nice cars that worked hard for it! If we were closer I’d love to go for a drive 😂

TBH I feel the same way, I drive a Lexus IS250 with a heavy amount of modifications. Although I don’t own two cars, living at home has saved me a RIDICULOUS amount of money to where I was able to have a lot to myself, although ngl not having two cars has left me more money from work to play around with 😂. I used to get the “Daddy’s Money” comments back in High school. Had a heavily modified truck, ATV’s, etc. Truth was I was homeschooled and started mowing yards at 12, got my first job under the table at 14 and by 16 a full time good paying job. I figured out from a young age I enjoyed working hard for money to buy what I wanted MYSELF. But the people who didn’t know me or know me well, just assumed it was Daddy’s.

Honestly nothing wrong with living with parents, I feel like in the USA it’s so looked down on to live with parents in your 20s, but for example where u come from, Europe, it’s completely normal to still live with your parents, ofcourse it would be nice to have that free space without parents, but like you said cost of living is so high it’s smart to stay with your parents!

To be honest rebuilding a set of almost $8k coilovers is more cost-effective than getting a new set of cheaper one's even if they're a known quality brand. So anyone saying get BC or FA instead is on crack. I currently have Annex Suspension coilovers on my ae86 and paid extra for the Swift springs they offer. I spoke with the representative to get the best spring rates for my driving style and road conditions.I'm sure they pale in comparison to Ohlins or KW but I'm sure they're better than FA or BC 😂
