This is pt.2 of getting my car aligned, obviously as you can see it was a little bit of a challenge to get the car on the rack! But we did it and thanks to Austin for getting my alignment sorted out! Ended up with less camber than I originally expected and after some adjustments, the car drives perfect!

Hey Liam, about changing ur camber and it not affecting toe, I do alignments on a lot of vehicles a day, I have noticed that if you pull camber that toe does get affected, I would get some toe plates that way you can remeasure your toe once you finish pulling camber at home..

I’ve done it like 40 different times with this car, I’ve never had it make a difference! But the car is only getting aligned right now so I can drive it around and then once it’s back from paint the suspension will likely get a bunch of changes and so it’ll get aligned again anyway.

Yep, agreed,. Toe and camber ALWAYS affect each other.. the suspension geometry just works like like that, it can't work in a different way. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Changing camber does change toe, you may not see it but the number definitely changes

I’ve made at least 30 adjustments to my upper arms on the previous setup without issue. Plus the car will no doubt get new suspension changes and another alignment after paint… so anything I do now is really so I can drive it around local.

@@LEPAutomotive then you never looked right, it doesn't work like you say. Toe and camber ALWAYS affect each other!

@@1990Redline I’ve literally aligned the car, adjusted camber and taken it to get another alignment and it’s the same. I’m speaking from actual experience with my specific car with my specific parts… making minimal adjustments to my upper arms has never effected my toe. Sure major adjusts might change it, even adjusting height would, but the 3 turns I need to make on my uppers will not throw my alignment out of whack.

@@LEPAutomotive I hear you , I got people that work at shops none of them are big dealers with a rack , Im on air but ride height is going lower ASAP, gotta do some finessing to the wells but I want to ride low low

That's cool lol but Audi dealerships have flat in ground alignment machines and they'll do it for about $100 or something like that; just saying

An Audi dealership is not going to touch my car LMAO 😂 Yes there’s plenty of places that have flat in ground racks, but for cars like this it has to be someone I know that will let me oversee and explain (random technicians can not be trusted to make informed decisions about cars they know nothing about), be close enough to me and also willing to do it. Two brothers are a great client of mine, all the techs are enthusiasts that know how to work with unique vehicles.

Also I doubt Audi is prepared to risk their liability for damaging my extremely expensive wheels and use zipties (whether or not I give them permission) to hold the sensors on. They’d simply just turn me away because it’s too much risk, independent shops that are cool will do it provided you sign a waiver to say they’re not responsible for damages with the methods required to align a special car.
