How I Beat The Cuphead DLC Without Jumping 

You know, if you get all four of the dogs into merely having smoking jetpacks, that gives you an alternative third phase where you have no lasers, so The Howling Aces can be more easily done jumpless.

No offense, but are you afraid of jumping/climbing/gaining height or something?

Here is a secret. If you walk in circles on the would map you get bonus HP until you kill a boss. Can only be used up to 3 times (It becomes unlimited after you beat the game).

I have the utmost respect for challenge runners like you. Cuz you'll be faced with a seemingly impossible problem but instead of giving up, you'll say "okay, what are my options?" and somehow find a way to circumvent the issue. I honestly didnt think you'd be able to complete the last 3 bosses in the DLC. I legit thought you'd concede defeat to the final boss due to its platforming requirements and that's why the video was so short. (not counting the secret boss) In the end though I suppose I owe you an apology for underestimating you. Truly, a great video!

How on actual Earth did you do this so quickly? Seriously, this is crazy impressive to beat the game like this and then write+edit the whole video in this amount of time. Edit: I would like to see a run of the full game, even though the bee fight is blatantly impossible. Also, the Glumstone fight prolly would've been way easier with Ms. Chalice because of the parry dash.

Fun fact: The 2nd phase of the Moonshine Mob can be completely cheesed with Ms. Chalice's invincible roll.

Now listen up here. We have a bit of a gamer on our hands. An up and coming gamer with the pace he is going is going to be a full on content machine. Next thing ya know man is going to be doing variety like IRL obstacle courses without jumping. Great content as always. With good pacing and storytelling. I am curious about the no primary weapon one you mentioned. My guess is it wasn't as good of a video due to parrying for 7 minutes and dodging the rest. Blessed be the algorithm. Esther Winchester would’ve been the only boss I did then I would’ve given up. Can’t believe you beat the entire dlc without jumping, and not even 5 days after launch. Props to you. You deserve more attention on RU-vid.

By the way I heard that the extra health from Chalice's super does stack but it's currently visually bugged on the transition of the final boss (maybe other bosses as well) so it doesn't show that it's blocking damage when it actually does, and the heart doesn't go away like it should

I've always enjoyed watching your challenges since I've found them, but I don't think I properly appreciated just how much work is put into them until now, when I realized that I haven't been able to pass isle 2 since getting the game A WHILE ago, and you're going through the dlc taking names without jumping. The videos were always fun to watch, but now I also have a newfound respect for the mad skill that goes into them as well.

I doubt the possibility of a jumpless Cuphead run considering bosses like King Dice and Rumor Honeybottoms, but an attempt would be interesting to say the least

Holy heck thanks for a m i l l i o n views that's incredible!! Check out my challenge on the full game if you're interested! A few things to note before commenting: 3:06, 3:10, and 9:36 are NOT jumps, although they certainly can look like it. 9:36 is just an example of Miss Chalice's parry dash, which gives a little bit of height without using the jump button (I use this a ton in the final phase and in my video on the full game). 3:10 is just the passive height that you gain from the invincibility super, which I explicitly use later to make the Mortimer Freeze fight possible. 3:06 is an interesting one, but also not a jump. As it turns out, standing on the bridge as you go into the third phase pops you up a bit, even if you don't press anything. I didn't notice this while playing or editing, but I just tested it since a few people mentioned it. That all being said, I did accidentally drop through a platform after the Mortimer Freeze fight ended, so that's on me haha.

Here’s something I found while playing with my friend on the kings gauntlet thing. If you play 2 player mode, every time one of you dies and you parry to bring them back it gives you a card. Which you can use with the the weapons you have equipped. I think it would be cool to see you try and beat the kings bosses with using this (assuming it hasn’t been patched) you could use the dash thing with ms chalice to get up in the air with it

I didn't think I was gonna see something like this with the release of this DLC, but on top of being an expansion worth the 5 year long wait, it provided a great challenge run to watch. I absolutely LOVED this DLC, so I'm ready if this starts some crazy runs. EDIT: I used Ms. Chalice the entire game too, so I was biting my nails waiting for her to come up. Also, [SPOILER ALERT] . . . . . . Honestly, I think you could totally do the secret boss jumpless, considering you only have to manage one platform and projectiles + a fire wall. EDIT 2: Nevermind lmao, I got japed

I love how the hardest fights in the normal playthrough aren’t the hardest fights in the no jump playthrough

Actually, with the Howling Aces to avoid that tricky pink laser, you can knock all the dogs in the previous phase down enough health to where their smoke is dark gray which will activate a much simpler phase

If I had a nickel for every time samples uploaded two challenge runs in the span of a few days I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice

Wouldn't this be easier with Chalice because you can parry by dashing, and you can still dodge roll to make up for taking up the charm slot. Edit: Just realize that he did use her at the end...

Hi, Sample. If you want to do this type of challenge for the full game, I recommend doing it from a minimalist approach, not a complete no jump run. That way, people won't get mad if you do too many jumps and you will still play the game in a totally different way. See ya!
