I am so excited to be sharing my debt free journey with you! In today's video, I share my student loan debt experience, as well as tips and advice on how I became debt free in less than 1 year on a teacher's salary. I wanted to make sure I made all the applicable disclaimers and gave my background in the beginning of the video, so if you want to get straight to the tips, you can skip to 5:47. I shared a lot of important info about what helped make my experience so quick in the beginning though! ☺️
Feel free to share your debt free tips in the comments below if you're on this journey as well!

Very financially savvy at such a young age! I love it💖 my husband and I live a debt free life (except for our mortgage) and have 3 kids with college funds in place. Budgeting is key, I have a basic notebook that I track spending and bills (utilities). I am also a teacher 😊 great job having that end date in mind!

Honestly when I clicked on this I thought you’d say you had like $5-10k in debt haha but you had like a decent amount and that’s awesome that you paid it off so quickly - must feel amazing!!

I upvote this! While there are some conflicting emotions about paying off 0% loans that quickly, versus investing. The motivation, determination, and sacrifice for a greater cause is inspiring.

I did this ... I worked my but off summer with enough to pay for the upcoming year ...I didnt make enough to live on campus after one year so I commuted .. Hey ! you make decisions that fit you. i worked hard , got better grades that I thought I would , got a teaching job and have NO DEBT. Thats big... Don't get in debt .......Live within your means .. I did and am happily teaching

You need to understand that college is a means to your goal of , in my case, becoming a teacher and your life career...If I would get there by commuting , then that was alright to just sleep at home but spend most time on campus. Your choice! Be tethered by the debt or be free to be a cog in the world as soon as possible . The best is after your degree ans your first teaching job. And btw .. take a major which has a future; not one where there is near no need for you OR like my friend , you will be waiting on tables with a degree.
