Philip Harboe I am a ck baby. There are so many different challenges or role playing vibes you can go for it boggles my mind. I do get annoyed when I read what you just shared though.... I notice that the ai just is not “lucid” enough for my liking. Still an amazing franchise that I’m diving into tho. But stuff like an AI not recognizing you are the most loyal vassal, and the fact that you could easily crush them, SHOULD be a factor

Play as Könugardr and reform the Norse faith :) It's a challenging position (a bit rng dependant) but also quite fun and interesting (IMO much more so than any other place in Europe). The Magyars and Khazars start out with an opinion boost of you iirc, and you have to consolidate to protect against them in the future, before you _really_ start expanding. Then when you're King (Galicia-Volhyna, or more probably Ruthenia), you will meet other rulers who have grown into kingdoms (Like Finland and Estonia-Lithuania + allies banding together against me and my allies in my save), before later on going to handle the great hordes. :)

Is CK3 worth it? Or is CK2 with all the dlc better? Do ye think it's better to wait until the inevitable deluge of dlc comes out and to get it all at a discount at some point?

Wasn't there a negative opinion modifier in CK2 for marriages with vassals or other lords that are in powerful positions? I can't remember what it was called. Like, if you were the King of England, and you wanted to marry into the Kingdom of Scotland, the King of Scotland would reject all marriage proposals because it's obvious that you're trying to get his title, and the AI had a negative opinion modifier that would overrule all the pluses. Does CK3 not have that yet?
