We had a railing built very similar like this in our daughters attic bedroom. However, the contractor did it AFTER the carpet was installed therefore making things pretty unappealing to the eye and loose. Any suggestions on how to correct this without messing up the carpet?
Oh sorry Emily I can’t think of anything off the top of my head. The contractor should have known better. Only solution would probably be to replace the carpet. There are many terrible contractors these days. In my experience you have to monitor their every move and don’t just check the job once it’s finished.
Redge, we have boulstrad installed surrounding the three sides but the rail fixed to the wall has come up loose. any idea on how I can secure it so that as you come up or go down in safety.
Hi Abdul. Are you talking about the hand rail that has come loose? Did you try and replace the screws or bolts with longer ones? It depends on if you have wood behind to fix the screws or bolts into.
