I'm trying a green man at the moment for the first time. Roughly based on this video! I've been carving for 10 years now I think, but never did I thought about using the back of the v tool to carve. Love these little tricks!

Hey Alec, thanks to you and Doug I have found such a passion! I have been doing high detail mini faces on small basswood blocks, just ordered my first cotton wood bark, do you suggest 50/50 isopropyl water mix to apply to the wood for easier carving ?

Hi Alec Did you try any another wood bark? Or cotton wood is the softest? Best for carving faces? Or do you know other type? Thanks
