How I clean my Speedy 30 | Bag Facelift

Today, i will share how i did a deep clean to my preloved speedy 30 from 1995. If you saw my unboxing video on this you know I got it from an ebay seller that shipped from Japan, it was ranked a BC grade for its condition. It had no cracks and canvas was very good. However the leather showed alot of dirt, dark spots, water marks, some mold and the brass was very tarnished. Plus it had a storage odor. so i decided to use my process o give it a full cleaning to give it a face lift and bring her back to life. i used my organic baby water wipes to wipe down the bag. if your bag feels slightly dry i highly recommend doing a conditioning first. mine was still buttery and i went in with the wipes, followed by the Apple Cleaner. After letting it dry i use my Brasso to clean the miold from the metal and polish up all the brass. Finally after letting it dry after 30 mins i conditioned it with the Apple Conditioner. FYI: Brass does not mold. When brass turns green it is a chemical reaction created from oxygen, water and carbon dioxide in the air. It can be called patina or verdigris and can be simply cleaned/polished with a product called brasso and a q-tip. Be sure to clean any brasso paste off the item and then condition any leather. Water wipes are perfect for cleaning in between uses and to keep untreated leather looking beautiful for decades to come. Your bag is beautiful, great to see you putting life into it and enjoying it. 🖤

Great video! You said if real dry to condition before cleaning, what brand conditioner and how long does it set before cleaning?

Hi, for my preference if I feel my bad is dry I condition it first. I normally let it sit overnight and then use a cleaner. But I recommend to always use a small amount when cleaning. I use water wipes and apple leather cleaner. Also remember that conditioning can darken any untreated leather. All this is based on my own experiences and I’m not an expert but I hope it helps. I like the 30 because it can take more stuff , its my weekend bag .Anyway i got mine from mirrorqualityneverfull.com and i absolutely love the quality , is as good as the authentic ..hopefully i can afford the real one some day .Just sharing y'all incase u also need.Thank me later.
