You’re very welcome! Yes you can! Just make sure you avoid the decals for the polishing part. Aggressive polishing on those parts will end up taking off the decals. If your model has decals, i suggest you just clean it well with warm water and a microfibre cloth to substitute the polishing part. Check out my other cleaning videos with decals as well!

Im really sorry about your ordeal. I have never encountered any type of situation like this at all. I store all my boxed models in plastic totes surrounded by bubble wrap and at least a few packets of silica gel to avoid any type of moisture while in storage. As for my displayed models, they are individually in display cases and never out of the case. I have a few models that have been sitting out but i always keep them away from sunlight and humidity. The heat “especially on the tires and paint” is very harsh on models. I would go with plastic totes as best. Never had an issue with them and make sure you have enough padding to protect them. I also suggest to have a few packets of silica gel or anything similar to help with any remaining moisture in the box. I might make a video on that in the future. Thank you for your question.

Personally no. If i was going to try to tackle it, i would apply a little bit of polish, rub it well with the microfiber cloth and see what it looks like after. Hope that helps.

Hi, If i store my 1:18 models in display cases , i need to wax them or it is unnecessary?

@@andregtsvj1069 Your call. If you want them to shine more and protect the paint finish, then yes. But under a clear case isolating them from dust, then no. Just don't put in direct sunlight. Ultra violet rays in the sunlight more likely to cause the paint to fade, become dull, less vibrant!

I think i’ll try a different compound on another car to see the difference.

In my opinion, if you can repaint it, why not? If you have an extra unwanted car to practice on that would be my suggestion first before you paint on the actual car if you havent tried this way before. The beauty of repainting is you can also choose a different colour you want! 🙂

Thank you for the question. Check and see how much dust or dirt is on the models. Usually the closed display cases should be fine. Inspect the models and see if it needs some cleaning. If you need it. I would recomend a damp microfibre towel to wipe off that layer of dust, make sure not to apply too much pressure and be extra careful with the sensitive/fragile parts. After that dry it off with another clean and dry microfibre towel and you can wax it with the process i did on the video.

I dont have the model but i know exactly you are talking about. Its a very hard to find model! My advice is keep your eyes peeled on the listings online such as ebay or facebook marketplace. One might pop up there. Happy hunting!

Im not sure about the other chemicals and ingredients on other waxes. I would also suggest mother’s cmx which gives a ceramic coat finish. The smell after is a bit strong though. But if that doesnt bother you then go give it a shot. The wax from what i recommend has a pleasant fruity smell and not harsh on the nose.

Im not sure what kind of paint they use for detailed pieces. Never had hot toys but i would definitely use caution in applying polish. As soon the area rubs off, its gone. In my opinion, and not professional advice, i would use warm water and a clean soft microfibre cloth. Rub gently and I hope that will do the trick. 🙂
