This is how I do my own root touch up at home. This product gives me a way of lifting my spirits instantly, whilst also saving me money by prolonging my stints between hairdresser appointments.

I use good quality eye shadow, and use old mascara on the area by the ears so the hair doesn't stick out when I take my glasses off. I normally use hair gel to smooth it otherwise.

Good video! Thanks! I am one who goes every 5 weeks. At home I've been using Revlon Root Erase where the products are basically already mixed. VERY easy to use. The lighter shade that I used, I should've left on 15 min. instead of 10. But, it is out of stock everywhere. I miss my stylist who I've been seeing for years & she helps my hair stay in good condition. I've been coloring for about 50 yrs. now! What can I say!!❤️

I'm your mum's age. I decided to stop coloring my hair last fall. Many women--even as young as their 30's--are letting their gray come in. Takes courage, and at some point you will likely cut it short, but I'm glad I did it.

This works very well for older ladies with thinning hair, and focus on putting the product on the scalp, so the skin doesn’t shine through the thin hair. Thanks for showing me a new use for this product!

Omg, I didn’t know! Wow and thank you so very much. Now, gotta say this. When you parted your hair down the middle and probably have your end in a pony tail I saw something I hadn’t noticed. When your hair style is like that I could imagine a French roll or some soft looking bun styled in the back. Pop in pearl earrings and darn if you don’t have that Grace Kelly look. Now I really do envy you! You’re a classic❤️.

So helpful, thank you! I've been eyeing the ColorWow blonde tones and couldn't decide which one to try. It looks fantastic! And I've heard they last until the next shampoo, or up to 3 days, which is pretty great.

Yes, I love this! I got the “Blond” last summer. I loved it, but like you, I have multi colours in my hair. Now, THANKS❤️, I will get more colours to look more natural 👏🏻. One of the reasons I love this products is it defines the hair line. PERFECT

WOW! The difference is amazing and very blended. Yep, I wouldn't ever know! I love the fact that you can play around with different shades too. Incidentally, I've just (yesterday) coloured my hair using a herbal/vegetable box colour. It turned out great. Covered my greys and conditioned Then I gave myself a HAIR CUT.!!! My hair is very, very thick and curly so I can snip away and any mistakes get hidden 😉😉

Great review ! and I need this... I have dark brown hair with Caramel highlights. I visit my hairdresser every four weeks due to graying on the hairline and I love highlights. Well I purchased Gardiner hair color to apply only on the hairline in the shade dark brown. The color came out BLACK. So I look like I have a BLACK stripe going across my hairline. I should have used a medium brown. I can't wait to see my hairdresser so she can do her magic and give my hair life again. lol 😂

The difference between before and after was stunning. I want to purchase but the blonde is out if stock! AWW! I dont have grays yet, but my highlights are growing out, so I just purchased the dark blonde, which was in stock. My hair is normally dark blonde to light brown, so I am hoping this is light enough, but figured it's worth a try! Thanks, Gemma!

I’ve thought about trying this product out, but heard it doesn’t cover well. Clearly it covers great! I’ve decided to stop coloring my hair to let the grey grow, not so much because I want grey hair, but because I’m fed up with coloring my hair (been coloring roots on the regular for the past 18 years.... ugh😩)

I'm 63, and last year my hairdresser suggested that I try to let the grey grow out. With her help, and foils every 3 cuts, I love it. I think my dark colour was aging me, everyone I know just loves this colour, it was a big decision though. Luckily hairdressers in Australia are open, mine sees one client at a time, so am having a cut next week. If I hadn't liked it, I could easily start colouring it again.

You look absolutly stunning Gemma❣️ This lockdown doesn't affect your natural beauty at all, it just increases it!!! Instead of buying expensive hair products I use eyeshadow for my roots. I assume everyone has an old eyeshadow palette with brown/red/blond...colours and an old brush. It works the same way as the other products. Use this trick for years 😊. Love, hugs and kisses!!! Hi Jemma, I have been using Wow for years and must say it is by far the best powder cover-up on the market, I think it is because it has iridescent particulars in it which imitates light hitting the hair, so it doesn’t look blocky, which every other root powder colour I have tried has been and gone straight in to the rubbish bin.
@pindygirl1789

I use the clariol root touch up powder and it works well but I don't use the enclosed brush that it comes with, instead I use a very small oval paddle brush that came in a set and is meant for makeup. I find the density of this brush picks up more product and the size of the brush allows for quicker application and better distribution too. Further to this I sometimes use eyebrow powders which also work a treat.

I highlight my own hair with a magicap and in my mid 50's i dont really mind some streaks of silver in there too. I vary my hairlights between a lighter blonde and a darker blonde every 2-3 months. I use a purple toning shampoo to blend my roots as they come through between colours.

I made the best decision last year to get shadow roots done with a balayage. I’m lucky enough to be able to purchase professional color so before all this happened I had 4 tubes of color to do my grey root touch up every 3 weeks. HOWEVER, it’s been a year since I’ve had my hair professionally done and it’s time for some highlights which I won’t attempt myself. I did give myself a trim today, 1inch... I will definitely be going to the salon for hair and mani/pedi when this is all over!

Nicely done. My haircut/color was to be the day after lockdown, so now 10 weeks since I had a color!!I I had bought some professional color on line from E-Salon, but haven't tried it yet. Thought I would go as long as I could so as not to do any damage! Think, if I'm actually able to get this, I will give this a go. Yours looks excellent. I'm an ex-hairdresser, but doing roots yourself, especially at the back, is very hard, so if this works, all the better!

They are out of stock. Too many of us in the same boat right now. Always best to go darker than you think you need. The lighter blondes do not even show unless your roots are actually white. I find the products to be VERY drying to the scalp. But VERY uplifting to the spirit when you look in the mirror! Your natural makeup look in this video is perfection on you. You don't need a single bit more. Excellent demo on how to use.

I may have to give that a try. L’Oréal makes a spray-on root coverup that works pretty well. It’s about 8$ US. If you have streaks, it might get a bit complicated, but if you are all one color, it works great. I am lucky with my roots, though. I just mix 50 g of body art Jamilla henna with a cup of water, slap it on my roots as best I can, put a plastic grocery bag and a towel over it, then wash it out after an hour.

I totally stopped using ( any type ) of box color. My friend noticed my ends were always darker. Low and behold I found it was the box color ( nothing I was doing wrong as I was strictly coloring my roots ). My ends would never fully let go of the color. Now I always visit my local Sally Beauty Supply Shop. Many professional hair colorists purchase ( Clairol ) there. I've been so happy NOT to be using box color any more. So, if anyone is interested, I have been loyal to Clairol Professional Soy 4 Plex Gray Busters. In my opinion, quite natural looking, wonderful highlights and a steal at about $ 7.00 ( here in New York ). In addition to my color application, I use Salon Care 20 volume creme developer. Happy Friday everyone xoxo

Now you really entered my comfort zone, Hair. This product is really nice but honestly, I am so nosy how your natural mix does look like. I really like silver and white hair a lot, if combined with a great cut and cared for. Your mix might be really posh, as you have the silver mainly in the front and the back is much darker. But anyway, it's your hair 😊 how are you caring for your hair? Are you using products your Cousine gives you or are you sulfate ans silicone free? My favorite products are from Shea moisture and Gyada. Both are free from all the bad stuff and also very recommendable for straight haired people like me 😊

I like to use Olaplex xxx

@Christins8818 4 года назад
@@PamperedWolf as a biochemist spezialised on proteins I don't see too much benefit in olaplex. I trust in good basics like sulfate free cleansing to keep the hair and skulp in good condition 😊 it's all about keeping the protein structure of the hair intact and the roots strong 🤷🏼‍♀️

Kristin S my hair was almost dead before I started using olaplex. It’s amazing stuff. We add it to my hair dye and also use it as a treatment after dying. My hair has never been in such good condition. Xxx

@@PamperedWolf until you stop using it. But when it helps you everything is fine 😊 but maybe you can think about caring for your hair from the roots so you don't need olaplex forever and enjoy your natural healthy hair some day ☺️
