Hey Alex I wanna let you know I’m fifteen and even though you get hate for being so open with your religion , God helped put you in my life because I was going through depression and loneliness because my brothers have kinda left me in the dust with there new girlfriends and your helping me realize I’ll have some downfalls but with God I’ll always get back up and I wanna thank you so much now I’m closer with God than ever and I’m reading my Bible daily( I could use some help with Bible studies I don’t really know where to begin) and I’m a lot happier so know even if you get a lot of hate your my hero and I’m happy your here to help me ( even though you don’t know me) P.S. getting back on the gym grind after messing up my rotator cuff

I respectfully disagree with it being easier to comprehend reading the new testament first. I read the new testament for years and I had a hard time understanding everything and it wasn't until I read the Bible cover to cover more than once while studying the different books of the old testament that I now being in my 30's feel like I have a good understanding of what our new covenant (new testament) means for us as believers. Remember that Paul was an expert in the law and Peter actually writes in 2 Peter 3:16 NASB1995‬ [16] as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. So I believe we need to pray for wisdom and understanding and read the Bible cover to cover before thinking we know what we're talking about. I taught my wife bad doctrine for years thinking I knew what I was talking about, then I started to pray for wisdom and reading the word and taking it for what it says instead of what some pastor says it means. I hope someone reads this and learns from my mistake.
