I am 12 and I have 10 siblings and the last one is autistic due to my parents having kids at such an old age. Ever since I have suspected autism in my little brother I have dedicated most of my time learning about my brother and autism, I even come into his speech and ot sessions. His therapists are absolutely amazing and after watching a 30 minute long session between his therapist and my brother I wanted to be a therapist. I can't wait to be a therapist when I am older and help people like my brother with autism.
And son and I miss you....I know you so busy, we get too busy rather with our son's special needs to a point we don't have time for anything else which is what I love about your channel, realistic and shows that's it's not and never the end of the world when diagnosed with a child who has autism.... But still we miss you❤️ we miss Dylan, Luka and Naya so very much and seeing his dad every once in a while. Love you all🇿🇦
I love the flexibility you've described. Like another commenter, I found out I am on the spectrum when my son was diagnosed 2 years ago, and rolling with the punches is so important!
God bless you, your videos help me so much with mom guilt/anxiety about raising my autistic son. Thank you and your family for sharing your life journey with us . 🤗💐
My 24 month old was diagnosed today. I live in San Diego, California- originally from Uk . I found your video through my healthcare provider and I immediately felt connected and a sense of relief . Thank you for allowing us an insight into your experiences. Lucy x
Brilliant , You hit the nail on the head there are no rules to this anxiety let alone autism and they /we need time out of the moment into another moment . I’m totally all for this like you know can sense when a change may be on the cards ie after an event . This is one of our decisions for homeschooling to take our own pace without having to answer to anyone else took that out of the equation now we can have our own structure seen such a difference and since being out of school his toilet habits with being at home more relaxed too . So excited about the mini bus thing sounds really cool . What is Dylan loving at school subjects etc that would be great to know how’s the pressure work load homework etc too if any. Thankyou for sharing much loves to you guys 💙
My austic son likes digging and playing sand and earth. I never get it until today you said it's generating serotonin! Thank you for sharing yhis information.
Hello-just found you whilst searching for tips to travel as a single parent, with a child with additional needs. I think we may live close to each other, from a few things you shared! 😍
My son is autistic, and i find my sons anxieties are always high. I find he overloads himself on milk and his "safe foods" when his anxiety is high. But find hes very forgetful because he is overloading on dairy.
Even my 5 year old is facing lots of anxieties these days especially when we come back from holidays or any relatives place..he is becoming rigid with structure ..so that also contributes to his anxiety..sensory messy play helps him a lot.. but sometimes it's tooo overwhelming..thank your for your videos.. they make me feel better during these hard days
Hey Tara, I'm still going through assessments with my young son. I feel very lost. His anxiety is extremely high (he has had a recent close bereavement). It's almost like with OCD tendencies. There is some great advice here. I was wondering, have you ever tried medication for either Dylan or Luca? Or counselling? I feel like my son could benefit from the (ADHD) medication, to engage in counselling, but I really don't want to go down that road. I hope that makes sense. Sending you all lots of love to Dorset.
I cant eat with metal cuttlery and im 14! I can only eat with a reusable spoon that has a fork on the other side , personally id rather get stares and comments from relatives then try to suffer through using a regular fork.some things are not worth a battle

Constantly watching your videos...It is very useful and guidance to everyone those who have gifted god child.... Can you please explain did you give any medication to your son for concentration and focus?
could you do videos on good and quiet BUT fun places to go with an autistic child. My brother has a lot of meltdowns when we take him new places what should we do to prevent that
My son has autism, he is 8 years old. He is highly anxious right now and I'm really struggling with it. He will be playing a game and start struggling on it and he will start getting really upset and saying that it's because he isn't very well and that he has allergies. Not sure how to help him. I don't really have any help, and I'm just feeling lost, overwhelmed and just like I'm not enough for him.
Hey I'am from India....need to talk to you in person....been watching your videos from long time now.....they r really motivating....but I am going tru a very tough tym.... so can you help me....
I’m from Thailand. Thank you so much, I’ve just seen your amazing videos and they give us hope so much My 3 years old son was diagnosed to be moderate autism around 3 months ago. But now, after training with speech therapy around 2 months, now he can speak long sentence and tell nearly everything he want We try to observe and confuse because he has no rocking, no tip toe, no lining object, no spin or look spinning object. His stim is just only hand flapping when he over excite and sing alphabet song repeatly He has no problem with sensory issue no meltdown, but he has tantrum so easily He obsesses with objects like alphabet A-Z, ก-ฮ, car engine, antenna, wifi rounter, radar, train (but just only call them what it is, not explain) he can also count 1-20 but not so interest He sleep around 9.15-9.30 pm (but if no day nap, he will sleep more early) *** My son doesn’t take any medication I want to ask anyone … 1. is it possible that the doctor did wrong diagnosis ? (He diagnosed my son to be moderate autism and that make me and my wife was so heart breaking) 2. Is there any moderate autism child who can speak or talk when 3 years old or before ? 3. Or because early intervention can improve the symptom from moderate to mild autism? 4. Because of his trantrum, we think about using medication, Is Dylan use any medication ?
