I also never had a positive experience in P.E. as a child. This helped give me inspiration to guide students through a prosperous Phys. Ed. program once I decided to be a teacher. I started as an All-star Cheer and Tumbling Coach, but migrated to P.E. & Health to enjoy a lower stress environment.

Hello, thanks for sharing your story its really interesting. I'm from France and I have a question about this job. I have a bachelor in PE here in France and I would like to work in the USA, do you please have any idea about the equivalents or how I can work there? Thanks.

You'll just need to check with the states board of education that you want to work in, the requirements are different in every state

Question do you need a 4 year degree to teach PE cause I saw that you could have 30 semester hours of physical education classes and become a PE teacher

Normally yes, but depending on the state you live in there are alternative certification options now since there's such a teacher shortage - you'd need to contact your state department to find out what the requirements are

I really want to become a PE teacher but I feel discouraged about the job prospects for being a PE teacher. I don't know if I should go all in on pursuing this program. I really like fitness and hope to help others find the fun in it as well, but theres so many other people like me who are going for the same thing. I know I am not special

Not sure where you are, but in the USA there is a massive teacher shortage right now across the board - if you're somewhat decent you can get a job no problem. My student teacher this year got recruited by a local school before he even graduated (they called him)
