I have boundaries in the house. I “desire” areas that are dog free! My furniture and bedroom is some. Dogs have to have boundaries, just like kids. They come to live with you not visa versa. There are really plush dog beds!
The easiets solution is to not own any dogs. Dogs aren't indoor pets. They are an invasive species and opportunistic mutated scavengers. They are literally designed to just roam around outdoors and eat rotten cadavers.
Resourceful as heck, love this idea! Too bad the jokes on me since my dog loves to only sit perched on top of the back rest cushions!! Still haven't found a solution, and every day the pillows are getting more and more dented in and flat beccause of her bodyweight. Sigh.
I think the only good that a Couch Coat can do is keep the couch from getting dirty. It's obviously useless against teeth and claws. Good thinking with the wood. I love it.
I think it's a perfect idea. My problem is also I have Chihuahuas which lift her legs on the side of the chair continually and matter what I do. It's really embarrassing when company comes over and there's piss everywhere on the edge of the couch. I wish I could figure out something to do with that want too. Fortunately one Chihuahua enjoys plastic piss on. I don't care what kind of plastic it is it's pissable, within one second. I'm trying to figure this out? I have added issue that; I have nurses coming in continuing in the house now due to my grandmother. It's quite gross even though I'm keeping it as clean as possible? Any ideas y'all?
i have the same problem with Lewis the white dog in the vid and to boot the couch in the vid is now gone because some times forgot to put the wood on before i went to work.. Lewis would jump on it and broke off the arm rest.. now it is on a couch under the window and they have a cheep futon to lay on.. if i come up with an idea for pissing i will make a vid lol. thanks for watching!!
Shirley Head Start on a Friday night or a week When you're on vacation. Take them out to do their business. If they pee they get to play and run around the house or what ever they wanna do for 2 hours then take them out again. If they don't do anything outside then put them in the crate. Take them back outside every 1-2 hours until they pee OUTSIDE. If they don't pee it's back into the crate. They will learn if they pee outside they get to play treats and can run around the house if not then back into the crate and no attention.
I’ve actually placed flat cardboard on my couch to keep my cat and Jack Russell from hanging out on the sofa. It works rather well for me. The wood would be necessary for sure for larger breeds. :)
