Experts have recommended a minimum of 25 grams of fiber a day for quite some time. Recently, that recommendation has been increasing to up to 50 grams. Why? People are now realizing how important fiber is for our gut, and therefore, optimal health.
Yet, according to the American Gastroenterological Association, 60 to 70 million people in the United States experience a digestive issue. While this number is alarming, I believe this number can decrease significantly if people started to be more mindful and intentional with their fiber intake.
In this video, I'll show you how I was able to eat 50 grams of fiber in one day, and how you can do it too. I also talk about its importance and why adding more fiber into your life can be lifesaving!

Breakfast -
1/2 cup steel cut oats/10g
1/2 cup blueberries/2g
1/2 cup mango/2.5g
1/2 tbsp psyllium husk/2.5g
1/4 cup almonds/4g
Snack-
2 kiwis/4g
Lunch-
1 cup mixed greens/2g
1/2 sliced avocado/7g
1/4 cup cucumber/1g
sliced onion/.5g
1/4 cup celery/2g
2 tbsp chia seeds/4g
Snack-
1 oz almonds/3.5g
1/2 banana/1.5g
Dinner-
Lasagna/2g
Brussels sprouts/2.5g
Total = 52g
