Thanks for this!!! I used your method and instead I used cardboard stacks which are easily accessible and soft. I cut up some strips of a diaper box. Heated with a hair dryer instead of hot air work station because the hair dryer covers Soo much area and it runs hot fast. His ipad was bent in the middle the same way but a lot more. The screen was coming off because it was so bad. Turned out amazing. Ipad gen 10.
Hello, did this with my iPad (9th gen) and it definitely worked. At first I was somewhat worried because it was bent facing the screen (which I had to press down with screen facing up) but it all went well thanks to God. - I used 200 sheets in each side.
I did this with my ipad 10th gen. I suggest bending it in your sofa or couch(anything soft) just dont put too much pressure pressing in it. I did it repeatedly and it was fixed
Bro thank u so much brotha bro I had a bend on the side so I did what you did but just stacked 1 piece in the middle and focused on the side and it actually worked
@@neiltagyab2427 Not surprising. Back light bleed is caused by internal components pressuring the screen from the back. Straighten the iPad again will make the screen free from the pressure.
Yeah this is a good technique. For me I had to replace my screen anyway. The frame was bent. But the screen was still good. Lasted like a year and a half with a bent frame before FINALLY the screen cracked at the bend. Remember once you bend it back it doesn't have to be perfect if you're replacing the screen/digitizer. You just want it bent back in place as much you could so when you replace the screen there isn't any tension on it. THEN afterwards. Put it in a rugged case. I went careless for years then did the soft case which might protect it against scratches. But what you really need is a hard shell case. Hope this helps yall
My iPad began restarting when I moved it in certain ways and eventually it stopped turning on altogether so I took it to the Apple Store and they looked at it and saw that it was bent. They told me that they would not be able to fix it but they would have to replace it as they no longer take iPads apart to fix them. The employee explained to me that the reason that my iPad may be restarting when it was moved is that due to it being bent if certain parts inside the iPad are now touching, it can stop the iPad from turning on or cause the iPad to restart. I therefore took the iPad home and decided to try and bend it straight to see if that made a difference and to see if it stopped whatever may be inside the iPad from touching and causing it not to work. I was worried that bending the iPad straight may break the screen but I gave it a go anyway. I bent the iPad back straight and then put the iPad on charge overnight. I took the iPad off charge in the morning not expecting to see it working but the iPad was fully charged at 100% after not being able to turn on for about two months. Now the iPad works perfectly fine. So to anybody out there who might have a bent iPad that doesn’t turn on try and bend it back straight and see if that works. I did not notice that the iPad was bent before taking it to the Apple Store. If for any reason your iPad is not turning on or randomly restarts check if it’s bent and if so, try to gently bend it back straight and it may start working again!!!
I raged 1year ago because I bent my Galaxy tab S7, didnt used it all this time lol. Thanks for your help I was too scared to do it. Its not perfect but its way better. Its a shame that it bend so easily.
Guys! My iPad was bent the other way and I wanted to share how I fixed it! I plugged in the iPad and started playing a graphics heavy game (to get it nice and warm 😂) I then placed heavy books on it to flatten it out. I ran the game while it was under the books for an hour. And left the books on over night. I had to do this 2 nights in a row. It’s not perfect, but you can barely tell it’s bent now.
Maybe trying it this way but putting a folded up pillow case over the screen then apply gentle pressure? My daughter bent hers the opposite way so I have the same question 🤦🏻♀️
Will the screen break doing this? Pushing in middle? My iPad is perfectly fine and working. I realised it wasn’t taking response from a few places (minor) then I saw it’s. A little bent from left (the keyboard attaching side) and other side is PERFECT. the left side is small too but I’m scared anything bad will happen, what to do. Please help will it break the screen? RIGHT NOW, If keeping it at a flat surface, the display is in air (a specific point, but the base is like curved SMALL v
