Hey everyone, we have pescatarians, keto, plsnt based, vegan and i don't know what else. That's a big ask from Melissa as she's concentrating on getting this important knowledge out to us regularly. We should help where we can. Share your minimum ingredient foods without protein powder. Also, if you dont like rhe taste of protein powder, im using a pea powder from Costco thats flavorless.

Fantastic video, full of great ideas. The "ice cream" you made is what vegans call "nice cream," when it is made without any animal products, which is why they call it "nice." It is delicious, and the possibilities are endless. I have made it in my Vitamix as well as in my food processor and have found it turns out best in the food processor; and when made in a food processor, there is no need to add any liquid/plant milk. It comes out just like soft serve ice cream. One very simple "nice cream" recipe is take 2 frozen bananas, break the bananas in halves or thirds, blend in food processor, and then add powdered peanut butter - only 2 ingredients and delicious! I love that your husband has joined you on this amazing health journey. I have been married 31 years, but my husband won't join me, for he loves all things ultra-processed/added sugar. He does exercise, however, so that is good! 😊❤

Omg 😳 you eat so much food in one day. I can’t believe it keeps you so slim. I’ve tried so many restrictive eating methods but only end up with massive cravings and rebound weight gain. Thank you 🙏 I will definitely be giving this protein loaded menu a try.

I'm DT2 and if I ate that many times a day, I'd gain weight. It's interesting seeing the 1:1 ratio of protein:carbs, but my glucose and insulin would be skyrocketing.
@Teragram68
@Teragram68 4 месяца назад
@@CP-nf9myi am not sure that is what is being suggested, 1:1 protein and carb, my understanding is its 1 gramme of protein for every pound of goal body weight. So if you want to be 140 lbs ( 10 stone ) it would be 140 g of protein. People trying to build muscle sometimes take in slightly more protein, so Melissa did say sometimes she takes in a bit more protein. Hope you have found a solution. If Melissa’s advice is not working, might keto help you? Best of luck with it all.

That was my thought. I don't think I could eat that much food in a day. As it is, I'm not very hungry and usually only eat 2 meals a day, plus I only get about 30-40 grams of protein in.

I’m almost 100% WFPB-SOS Free trying to manage and heal severe Chronic Kidney Disease, liver disease, malignant hypertension, and heart failure (just to name a few) of the long list of health issues that I’m trying to manage and heal. It’s been incredibly hard because I also have IBS and food allergies, so my choices are severely limited. The CKD dictates my diet/nutritional choices more than anything else: low sodium, low protein, moderate potassium, etc. I really want and desperately NEED to build up my strength and stamina just for everyday life - looking good would be a bonus. Over the course of the past decade, I’ve lost 150 pounds, but I need to lose another 50 pounds (?stones?) to be in my target “healthy weight” range. I’ve really admire you and what you’ve accomplished in your journey - gives me hope that I can eventually get all this extra weight off me and free my body of this burden. Thanks for all you do! BTW, I’m about to turn 60 in November.

Oh my gosh, Malissa!! I feel like when I tried this, I was eating all day long and I just couldn’t handle it!! In fact, in the beginning, when I wasn’t able to keep up with the energy for the workouts, I seemed to have gained weight! Then I decided to do a calorie deficit and shrink some of the fat, at the same time, gaining more energy to do more intense working out. Now that I have got rid of some of the fat, I feel like I can start increasing the protein again, and I have been doing that. But I don’t think I could still keep up with even 120 g of protein a day! I just feel too much like I am eating constantly… So far it seems to be working just fine, but my only concern is that I may start gaining weight again if I adapt to the calorie deficit. so I’m just concentrating on my output right now… I’m nowhere near the level of pushing weight that you are, and the strength that you have and must maintain, so it makes sense how much protein must intake. The order of things I feel is very important and at least it was for me :-) I’ve always been curious how you get that much protein in a day though! Lol

It is hard. Calories, too. But, used to racking up calories and protein. I have a friend works for major vitamin shop that's collecting protein bars powders, vitamins and minerals etc. that would expire. I'm going to pick them up first part of Sept. I also largely support my clean diet from dumpsters. I sure do. I eat almost all clean, whole organic foods from the dumpsters. My last haul gained me two cases of hummus. Red pepper and garlic. I now have money saved to join the gym but want to finish this job I'm on before. I join. I've been excerciseing with just my body weight. I have lost some weight.( Clothes are big on me but not falling off) Gained a few odd ball muscles, ( little cuties on my shins)lessened my back and knee pain and I feel stronger.. I've also made my self feel good about me again. It means enough to me that I will do what I have to. I kno it will be prolly a couple years before I can really show off my work but time is a thing that passes so.. I can wait.

So you just weigh the food until you get to 150g of protein instead if counting the actual amount of protein is in each food??? I'm so confused by this. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm not being sarcastic or snarky, I'm genuinely wondering if this is how you get 150g of protein each day.

I was 65 and at 92kgs was overweight, at 5'9", wanted to get down to 80kg in 12 weeks, breakfast was a bowl of Oats with honey and some milk, the 3 Egg Omelet with 2 Rashes of Bacon, my Protein Drink with a dash of Coffee in it, use to do 30 minutes in the money using a Rowing Machine and Free Weights, then at lunch I ate a bowl of Salad with Cheese and Tuna, Dinner time I ate 3 Eggs with Steak and Vegs, before I went to bed I did Exercises for 30 minutes, Jumping Jacks, Pushups, Planks, Stomach Crunches, 5 minutes on Cross Trainer Machine, Donkey Kicks and Squats, was losing 1kg a week and after 12 weeks reached my target of 80kg, without being radical I stopped taking Sugar and Wheat Products.

Thanks Melissa! I discovered proats because of one of your previous videos and I have that all the time now! I like to add apple and cinnamon. It’s super good. I also make burritos like you but I’m vegetarian so I use a veggie burger that I break up. I never thought to airfry it! I’m not hitting 150 a day but getting closer 😀

What would you suggest to substitute for any plant based protein that you suggested, as I am definitely animal based. It’s just difficult to eat that much protein from meats, or animal based, that I have thought of. -I cannot tolerate hardly any amount of plants, digestive wise. Thanks! -I really enjoy your info.
