We have similar hair and I’ve come to the same conclusion. :) I’m done spending so much $ on getting it professionally colored. What do you use to highlight? Thanks for the great info. Look great!

I know this is old but this was a great video. You are so beautiful and you have absolutely gorgeous hair, its really beautiful. Your existing colours are gorgeous but your hair colour after application turned out soooo pretty. I would love to see a video where you do the blonde highlights too.

🎉❤😅Hi Deb looking at you how confident you are and after my daughter have done hair color for me, I decided to do it myself!👏🏻👏🏻🤗you are great what gave me confidence was that I have curly hair like you, I am so tired of hair stylist damaging my hair and cutting my beautiful curls every time I go , my hair was so healthy and long like yours. I used to get compliments but my hairstylist damaged my hair, she cut in layers and leave me with very short curls and I looked awful after having my medium long hair with my beautiful curls! That made me decide to do it myself and not have to pay to someone that will damage my hair and still charge me a lot , that honestly I would not mind as long they do a great work but, I am so disappointed and trying to recover my curls again because I also used to much flat iron which is a killer to our curls 😢. But I been doing some treatments and coloring my hair at home and for now no using blonde or highlights, I need to give it time to my hair to shine again 😊Thank you for your video and hope someone can Beneficts of my experience 🤗Honestly Dev we don’t think that curls are difficult to maintain but they are very delicate if we don’t maintain it and use to much flat iron, no good 😊

Great video! I always color my own hair-roots only. Love how you are so down to earth! Also, the intro to each video with the candle lighting and music is fab! Music during the videos is perfect in genre and volume, too.

Thank you. I'm 34 and getting more white hair. Trying to figure out how to make sure the dye sticks to the white hair. I have a four year old and a two month old and I can't afford getting my hair professionally dyed.

Excellent Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Millawdon Goodbye Gray Trick (search on google)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to reverse gray hair fast without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cooworker at last got excellent results with it.

@@DebNYCurl lol I did it but not the way I thought it would turn out 🤣... My hair is short and straight, so I found it difficult to part my hair to get at the roots (unless I use hair clips, which I didn't as I found it was too much of a hassle). In the end I just squished at whatever place I thought was close to the scalp, yeah it was messy and I got it on my forehead and ears but like you said it was easy to wipe off. I had about half the bottle left and it seemed such a waste to throw that away, so I ended up colouring the whole hair, hahahaha what a misadventure. Your tips definitely helped so I thank you for that. After the lockdown is over I will go back to my regular hairdresser since I desperately need a haircut too! I will get him to do some highlights for my hair then. Cheers xxx

I do the same exact thing. I have to do my root touch up at least every 3 weeks....4 if I use the root touch up spray. Where are you in NY? And what's your age if you don't mind telling ? I'm 58, wish I lived up that way, I would love to hang out with you. Your so cool! You keep it real. Keep making informative video's. Love them. And yes, I am subscribed.

Oh ok! I'm not as familiar with the South Shore only because I always worked on the North Shore so I know it better but definitely go south for the beaches! They are the best! Although when I was younger I did work in Franklin Square for a bit which is close to Malvern! :)

very convincing tutorial , demonstrating no fear home coloring. Shows the ease and simplicity of doing just just roots. So people wanting to color their whole head it shows that it's even simpler.

I use a Loreal kit. I am going to show it next time for sure but I can admit how I do it is not really 100% correct but it works for me, lol. Probably will need it done in a month or so. :)

I've decided to go darker( like 6.5-7)more my natural color. I'm too blonde right now. I think you look great with this color it fits you better than super blonde .

How often do you color your hair

I usually do the roots only like every 3 weeks. Full head only once or twice a year. I'll add highlights in the spring usually. Unfortunately, with the roots its happening more and more frequent! lol

No, I won't shampoo for days otherwise the color will come out sooner. But I also only shampoo my hair once every couple of weeks more because of my hair texture and curls.

NY Curl401 somehow the sprays, & I’ve had L’Oréal, make my roots tacky/greasy. I’m at hot mess, lol. I now go to a beauty school monthly. They cover up roots for about $25.

Wondering if you ever tried e salon or Madison Reed hair color? Seems you get the Gr8 results with the L'Oréal so U stay with it! Looks Beautiful. I have long hair. the grey is at the roots but overall color fading. Do I just drag some color down into the length? Want to keep highlights... light brown hair with gold highlights. Would appreciate your advice or maybe you have a video on this ...Thanx. Your hair looks beautiful on you.

I actually did a video a long time ago on Madison Reed color. It did look good but for me it's more convenient to just run to my local drug store and get a box of Loreal. I will do an all over color once sometimes twice a year when the grays are coming in a lot underneath. You can drag it down when you do roots I have done that and that might be easier because when I do the all over, I have to redo my highlights and I've been trying to avoid that lately. That's why I now keep the highlights to the front and bottom of my hair so when I do the all over I avoid the front and bottom. You can pin the highlight area so it doesn't get any color. That might help. Thanks for watching I hope this helped!!

Box hair dye is horrible for your hair. There’s a reason hair stylists have to go to school for 1,600 hours plus and why they charge what they do. It’s a Science.
