I live in Georgia and make my silk press last 4 weeks without a touch up during the spring ( once a year in April) by doing a few simple things: 1. Wrap it every night (duh, right?) but even if I’m feeling lazy 2. Keep wrapped when likely to be in humid environments more than 10 minutes 3. Baths only, no hot showers 4. Smooth ponytail at the back of my head when working to keep it off my neck and out of my face while my body temp is increased So basically, I only really wear it down when out to dinner or for some special occasion.

Our hair is just the most beautiful of all hair! It is so versatile and can do EVERYTHING from kinky curly braids twists straight LOCS etc., it thrives when we don' t over style. All we need do is to keep it clean moist and stop abusing it. It is essential that we accept it's natural texture after all it is our heritage our personal lineage. All of our ancestors are reflected in it those known and unknown. Some things can not and should never be changed. Once we honour our own then it will grow and grow unless we're not healthy taking pharmaceutical meds or using too many commercial products. I make my own. It is just glorious our crown no matter the length. Your hair is BEAUTIFUL Sis! Ty for such a well filmed simple video edited to perfection! I have been around from the start of your channel and may I say I like your style the way you do things period. You reflect individuality! The essence of Pure STYLE! 🍃🌼✨

Your hair is so healthy and beautiful 😍. You definitely know what works for your hair type. I’ve never seen anyone apply straight olive oil before straightening. I only use it in my hair as part of a hot oil treatment... or pre-pop.

We have almost the exact same texture and length. I can’t wait to straighten mine to see my overall length, but you gave me hope. I haven’t straightened mines in over a year also.

First time watching your videos. I love it! Happy that I found someone who is a minimalist with product. I use coconut oil, a leave in, and once a week a deep conditioner. Healthy hair over length😍

I love straight hair but I really only straighten my hair for Christmas and Thanksgiving now. Idk it's like it loses its personality and magic when I straighten it! Lol

It’s so pretty. You have some resilient hair. Every time I use a smidge of heat I get heat damage.
