u do have to admit though that you generally have to a be smart person to score mid 50s or higher. I do feel if ppl study hard enough they should be able to pass the test
@@scoredcurtis just look up asvab practice test online and you can find a ton of questions to test yourself or get the kaplan asvab prep book and that has everything you’ll need, good luck🤙🏽
This video gave me the motivation and understanding that it is possible to receive a perfect score on the ASVAB. After a week of dedicated studying with regard to your tips, I did just that. And for those that are watching... YOU CAN TOO! Thank you, Sir.
Just took the test today and got a 75. Thanks to your tips. I had a busy night and my brain was really tired so I was worried. I wish I got a better score but still happy with what I got.
I think you might be one of my new favorite RU-vidrs, ive been thinking of joining the Air Force and starting a better life for myself. Ive been having a lot of questions and blind spots about wanting to join and coming across your account has given me some confidence and comfort. Thank you
Made a 26 on my ASVAB. My recruiter told me to study and that in two weeks he’ll give me the PICAT, and that's what I did. Ended up scoring a 31, and I told him I wanted to keep studying and he agreed. So, here I am👋🏼 thank you for the motivation and please wish me luck on my ASVAB. Thank you.
I took my CAT-ASVAB today and got a 82. It was very stressful for me not gonna lie but if you study and get a general knowledge of each section of the test its all you need to answer the the question confidently or to make an educated guess and score well. It blows my mind this man's got a 99 and is still sane, I was brain dead leaving MEPS 😂😂
@@dwayneplummer12 i did it the same day I posted the original comment, sooo about a week ago. And same with me, my line scores qualified me for almost every job they got but my criminal record disqualified me for jobs requiring security clearance
I’m 38 and joining the AirForce reserve this year. My Asvab test is in two weeks. I have been studying by watching Grammar Hero. I learned a lot of him. Let’s how it goes. Thank you for your video. I watched a lot of your videos.
I have my ASVAB in 5 days. I only had to wait a week since my recruiter scheduled it. Thanks for the advice I’m really trying to prep in a short time. I also really love your personality. You are super nice and cute and I just wanna give you a hug because I love your energy🤗🤗🤗
Love the tips and information! I’m taking the asvab and physical in a week 🙌🏾 I’ve been studying with the asvab book for dummies. It’s helped a lot so far
I just ordered the book and I take my test right before Christmas. I passed my first practice test and failed my second practice test so now I have to study for a really long time. great advice !! ill take a lot of practice tests to get myself together
My ASVAB is tomorrow.... I only had a week to study and I sure as hell studied for 5 hours a day because I want to get into a good MOS that is transferable to a civilian job. 25B or 12R. I hope those countless hours of studying helps out.. if not I got backups others choice besides those 2 options. I'm nervous guys wish me the best of luck
lets say i got a 100 in the Skilled Technical on the asvab which allows me to be able to get into my MOS. Unfortunately I did it during MEPs and found out I'm blind and they automatically disqualified me for that position! I AM IN MY DENIAL STAGE!
You were very clear and relaxing to listen to. Thanks for making this video. Please pray that my son will son will do well. God bless everyone who reads this.
I have around 2 years to study and get at least a 100 on my GT to get a shot at SFAS for the Army Green Berets, I'm really excited and this is gonna help me so much.
It sounds like this is also useful for the AFOQT! Thanks for the tips, you seem like an absolute pleasure and definitely deserved your score! I’m currently having some trouble staying motivated to study and I’m not sure how long I need to study before I’m ready to go take the test for real
The ebb and flow of feeling motivated to study is entirely normal and it just comes down to building will power endurance - and taking breaks of course! :) Best to overstudy then to understudy, but just be mindful not to burn yourself out of course
I was in the national guard, I'm trying to go into the air force hoping I won't score low trying to find all tips and help , studying like crazy , hope everyone passes their asvab test with the score they want! Good luck everyone
You will be absolutely fine, Ms. Lola! Go to a library, review a book there or take it home with you and focus MOSTLY on the areas you struggled with. 2ndly, believe in yourself and try to leave all test-anxiety at. the. door. 3rdly, ANY improvement is awesome improvement so if the next swing is also unfortunately a failure, the real question is did you improve and how can you continue to do so! :)
i just scored a 35 on the practice ASVAB, it really brought my confidence down. I’m an A B honors student, but when it comes to tests i freak out. my recruiter sent me this video and it helped. any tips, tricks, etc?
Take practice test. If this was your first time with AFQT testing you’re probably not use to the testing format. Get familiarized and you’ll pass high.
Thanks for this video man super motivational and a lot of help! I will be back with my passing score to tell you how i did❤️💯🙏🏾Stay prayed up you guys we got it‼️
I wish I saw this before I took my test. By the end, the questions were getting so hard I wasn’t sure I did well enough to enter the army. I got an 81.
I scored a 89 on my picat with a line score of 220 but when I took the asvab I got an 82 with the line score of 235 (this is the line score for what job I want) I was scared but happy that I went down overall but went up in what I needed to
I took the ASVAB my junior year and I didn’t study and scored a 22. Now I just graduated High School and I’m about to take another ASVAB in a week and your video is making me feel motivated to study! I freak out when I take any test and overthink to much so im determined to get the best score possible!
I just wanted to spread the word that the word arithmetic when used as an adjective has a different pronunciation than the noun arithmetic. My math teacher gave us a 20 minute lecture on it in middle school, and I argued with her until she pulled out a dictionary.
Thanks bro good video I decided to enroll in pre-algebra/geom class at the community college to help me brush up on all the math on the asvab than I’ll go take the Meps asvab once I ace my practice tests.
Im taking the test on Thrusday. I found your video and watched it and omg your amazing you gave me hope, faith, and positivity. I thank god for you. Your tips are amazing, very clear, and understanding.
Thank you for making this video. Wonderful tips and perspective, appreciate it and will retain the knowledge you’ve dished out! I definitely subscribed and look forward to all of your advice on the whole process of joining!
I got a 10 back in high school (2019)mostly because they didn’t prepare us. And here I am present 2022, I plan on going into the coast guard as a PA. Hopefully when I take it again in the future I’ll do better, I hope. I’m pushing
I’m joining the AF after college, so I have like 4 years to prepare for the ASVAB but I’m still nervous!! I’m trying to get a 72 or higher for my dream job!
@@EnabIing Yeah, he’s better off doing enlistment to officer program, free college while getting bachelors and military experience, that would be nice.
I took the PiCAT yesterday and verified it at MEPS today. Got a 99, first try, no studying. Didn’t even know the format, or really know what to expect at all
They should give people that get a 99 on the ASVAB a Warrant officer commission, especially for certain MOS/NEC (or whatever they call it in the AF) where that would really make sense. Cyber for example.
I had never heard of the asvab when i took it and had all f's in every one of my classes yet i still managed to score a 73 when i hadnt done anything school or study related in months 💀💀
I stopped studying my freshman year, I would just show up to class and go on my phone or sleep. I ended up getting all F's my junior year I believe? I never made it to my senior year, I almost dropped out since it was like I wasn't even going to school because I never listened to the teacher anyways and i ditched a-lot. I would spend my life in my room depressed and talking to strangers online. When I took the test I actually skipped two whole sections without reading them because I got bored and didn't even want to take the ASVAB because I never considered the military, I skipped more questions but those were dispersed throughout the assessment. Yet somehow I managed a 60....Im still confused about that, I feel like somehow I cheated, but I didn't.
I took the picat at home and it was only 20 questions did not score the score I wanted and my recruiter is willing to give me a month to study up. I hope I get this down! Nice job!
@@michaelainman just wanted to say that a month later I took the picat again and scored a 70 on it :)! Pretty proud of myself. It was 20 questions again and I even noticed that some of the questions were the same.
❤ thank you This is very helpful I’m going to schedule a meeting with a recruiter soon nervous I’m so nervous 😬 It’s a big step to create a better future for myself and my children.
The recruiter called me yesterday and told me that my test was today 🙃 and I said yes because I was nervous now I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna do, I hope this video help a lotttttt ✌
I took a practice test yesterday and scored a 45 so studying I did almost perfect in the literature side but math I didn’t do very good on. I’m bad at comprehending word problems but I do great on comprehending paragraphs.
Wow this was so Informative thank you so much I’m a 37 year old going into the Air Force and so nervous bc I haven’t studied since I graduated College so I don’t even know where to begin studying and feel like I need to teach myself how to study since it’s been so long . You’ve definitely motivated me and I huge thank you to you very grateful for all your videos .
Hey Sema, I'm 36 and I never made it to the end of the first semester in college. I think I'm even more nervous than you are. Hope it goes well for you.
@@ArroyoElvin hi Elvin. Well I can’t say I studied much to be honest with you ,due to work. But I managed to score a 60 all together (58 General) so regardless I still qualify for the job I wanted from the get go which is Air Traffic Control. Best of luck to you . If you’ve never taken the ASVAB before try asking your recruiter to take the PICAT less stressful and it’s not timed.
If you have 20-30 minutes between now and the test, review a little the types of questions that trick you up the MOST and other than that, just get 8 or more hours of sleep tonight, eat a decent breakfast tomorrow, and most importantly, believe in yourself both before and during the test!
How to get a 90 on ASVAB Step 1: Have Eidetic memory. I'm smart and got an 82. I struggled in the English portion and I have no experience with mechanical tools. If I practiced my weaknesses I'd score 87ish 90 perhaps. Beyond that, you'd be looking things up on the PICAT then getting lucky on the verification or Eidetic memory to answer what you don't truly understand.
Good video bro, thanks! I am trying to re-enlist now after 9 years out and this test is my major concern... i took it straight out of high school and got a 33... its been a while since i ise pen a paper to make calculations and quite frankly i forgot... but this video motivates me to have a 99 score because im striving for an aviation job....
Tip number 1. Prepare by being a good student in school. Learn the material and the test is easier. Tip number 2 learn to do the math without a calculator
Ive just been looking at this channel on RU-vid that has videos on all asvab secs. The two I only look at and focus on though are AR and MK since those seem the most difficult to me. Since September I've been looking at his and writing down almost everything he does. Q & A.
I’m planning on doing SERE in the Air Force . I talked to the recruiter and I need a min if 55 on as an to qual. I took the practice test and got a 45. I need to study hard on the arithmetic side.
Love what your doin wish I saw this before but oh well went through asvab and managed to score a 88 tho I do wish I got a lil gorged but I’ll survive shipping soon anyway
The puzzle piece scenario explanation was very clear. Btw, what job are you in or entered the force? (If you already said it in a video, i havent seen it yet)
Omg we have the same last name. I didn’t even see that. Thank you for the tips. I have been doing online practice tests and it’s true I’m starting to get familiar with the questions. But Arithmetic reasoning is giving me sleepless nights. Thank you for the tips once again.
