I go to KSU and I get so discouraged. My GPA isn’t the best right now and I’ve mostly averaged C’s in my Pre-Reqs. I plan on taking the TEAS next summer. I’m currently taking A&P 2 😩 I definitely plan to work for an A in this class and the rest of my other classes the following semesters.

Can you please tell us what are the 8 out of 12 classes that we have to take before we get into the nursing program?

I don’t know about any other school but these are the 12 classes you have to take and you must have at least of these complete with a grade of C or higher Mathematics Statistics Chem 1&2 A&P 1&2 Microbiology English 1&2 Psychology Human development psychology Sociology

I just heard that you have to get a 100 in chemistry to get into the nursing program at KSU is that true?

Also how do we know that we are taking the classes that are needed?

I don’t know about any other school but when you start at ksu, you have to have advising your first and second semester. Then they can give you a summary of the classes you need to take and kind of advise you on the classes you need to have taken before you write the teas and apply into the nursing program.

I’m attending KSU in fall 21 so thank you for the information! I’m nervous about entering the nursing program because Ik it can be very competitive but, I’m still confident in myself.
