First off, thanks for making this video, it's been extremely helpful! My fiancé and I are looking to move to LA next year, after our wedding/honeymoon, and only if we end up getting jobs there. Her DREAM JOB is working for Disney, and hopefully she can find something in operations.

I really appreciate all these tips and also personal experiences!! I am currently in my second semester of college and am freaking out with graduating without a job in the future after graduation. After watching this video and your incredible speaking and tips I really have better hopes for myself. I am studying political science do you think that will still give me a chance or will I have to change my major ? This is frustrating but I really appreciate your tips and advice. Thank you!!
Congrats on almost getting your degree! I know its scary, but if you build your experience little by little through volunteering and internships, you will make yourself a great candidate! I am not sure what field of work you want to go into, but I've always lived by the idea that it's not always what you study, but the experience of work you have and how you sell yourself. I know people who are working in certain fields but have totally different degrees!
Your videos are awesome & informative. I'm retiring from my job in a few years & am moving to Orlando to work part-time at Disney. Could you tell me some really close places to Disney where we could move where I would not have to cross I-4 to get to work (we are having trouble narrowing down where to search for a new house)? Is there any other advice that you could give me about moving to the Orlando area, applying at Disney or working for Disney? Thanks again for everything that you do with your channel.
I just got done with my interview! I had technical difficulties and was so nervous :( but the guy said that theyd like me as a cast member and that id be put on the waiting list till a job that matched my schedule shows up
It was my dream to do the Disney college program when I was in high school but things didn’t work out and I thought that working for The Disney company would just never happen to me. Four years later and working in a hospital, I’m realizing that what I’m doing now isn’t what my dream was. I’m looking into a corporate career for Disney! I know I would need to go back to college and get a degree and I was looking into communications or maybe liberal arts. I know there is a wide variety of different jobs available. Being out of school for a little while has me unsure about what degree Is best. I think I would be happy doing just about anything for the company besides anything relating to accounting :) The Disney career search wasn’t as helpful as I’d hoped. Would you be able to help me understand the different types of jobs that you can have at corporate? This was a lot of info I’m sorry haha. Any help you can provide I would be very grateful and I know this video will help me in the future. Thanks in advance!
Hey!! Glad to hear you are pursing your dream. Sorry the site wasn't super helpful. Unfortunately at the moment there are not really any job post or openings due to the pandemic (Disney has temporarily closed many), which is probably why your search was not very fruitful. I would encourage you to keep checking once things get back to normal. Honestly the list of jobs is so wide, it could really be anything. You name it, there is probably a job for it at Disney. Even medical!
id love to work at disney, if i had a choice, id chose galaxies edge. I am curious, does working in disney ruin the feeling it gives you as if you are there on vacation? would it ruin the feeling galaxies edge gives me during a vacation, if i were to work there?? do you have any experience with something similar??
i just applied for disney world for a dishwasher/steward position to get my foot in the door. i don’t live in florida, currently but want to move to orlando by or early 2020 but could figure out something earlier if needed. will they reject me because of me being non-local?
I saw on their website today that they DO hire non locals which is great news ! You are smart to take an entry level position to get your foot in the door......Disney likes to see what your made of , so to speak , before they give someone higher paying positions. You can transfer after 6 months to any area of the company that you wish to work for ( I think it still is 6 months) . Showing up on time and having a great attitude will serve you well. I worked for WDW for 18 years and saw many people start off this way. My old roommate started out as a seating hostess and ended up being the General Manager over Epcot Food and Beverage years later. Disney likes to promote from within so they take care of their own....great company to work for. I really miss it. Good luck to you and spread that pixie dust wherever you go 😀
Can you still work at the Disney parks in attractions , guest services , merchandise and etc even if you don’t go to college because I want to be a cast member for Disney so badly and I want to work in the theme parks at Disney so so bad
Hi! I really wanted to get a job as a cast member at the parks! Does anyone know how and where I can apply to work for like 3 months (like a summer job, but in winter) at the Walt Disney world parks? I don't live in the USA. I was checking the programs but still don't see any jobs, and also I didn't find where to apply for cast member, I don't know if after the parks reopen in July I'll be able to see that or if I'm just looking in the wrong place. Any tips are welcome :) What I basically mean is, can I do the cast member job if I graduated from college in January?

Hello! :) My degree in communication covered mass media, social media, general communication, PR, etc. It was a broader degree so it worked for me. But even then, I don't think you have to go back to school to work in marketing if you have a different degree. I know lots of people in marketing who studied totally different things in school (engineering, journalism, political science, etc.). At the end of the day, it's all about experience. Good luck! ❤️
