02:53 oils oils oils something I definitely talk about all the time. Carrier and essential oils along with herbs can definitely improve one's hair journey. Glad you added it back in.
I've always had thick edges but I've had a minor set back cause someone wanted to pull one of my box braids out 🤷🏽♀️😒🤣 but within three weeks with using castor oil rubbing the area for five mins a day oil every other day my hair in that one spot is coming back 😩😩🙏🏽🙏🏽 it was bald now it' looks like I got a shave so it's grown a lot in three weeks massaging and oil is key and doing a treatment
I have a problem with touching my hair constantly too 😁 I try to fix that with constant protective styles like braids, but it doesn't help. Thanks for the tips! Love your videos btw ✨
Saaaame!!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one with this issue 😣 People are like "why do you always have twists?" I'm like "I'm protecting my hair....from myself..."
I know same it's only because i just recently cut my hair just last year actually and im excited since now i have natural hair so i cant stop touching it cuz i love curls so much i think i cut it in september or october or maybe november but i cant remeber and its grown a lot since then and im so happy about it but my edges has been so ugh like i think its braids and i wish that i could grow it back but i try to tell my mum but shes african so its just never gonna grow
come through edges. i had an issue of thinning but it was in my crown. i cut it off and did a lot of protective styling and massaged and kept that section separate and its growing back nicely.
I'm not claiming that they are miracle workers but those scalp massages are bae. For years I was relaxed with an itchy scalp. Now that I'm natural and have incorporated scalp massages the itching is virtually gone. I think I'll get the brush from vanity planet. I'm a believer
Have you thought about using a hooded hair steamer? I recently purchased one for my dry 4c hair, and I noticed a difference after the first use. My hair has remained moisturized longer during the week. It was highly recommended to me by a friend whose been natural for years.
Yassss! I've been using a steamer to deep condition my low porosity, 4c hair and it works wonders. I think it's much more effective than a hooded dryer or a deep conditioning cap.
Chizi Duru Just became part of your notification gang, thanks for the edges tips. My edges literally barely there, thanks for the discount code. I'm so buying the scalp massager, hope it works for me. EDIT: The discount code didnt work for the scalp massager, it said not valid with my purchase for some reason. Maybe you have to spend a certain amount.
I think your ends may need a trim since it seems a bit thin but girl you did so good. Continue that oil treatment and remember that low manipulation or protective styles and minimize gel and tension (like puffs)
Oh my gosh thank you girl because literally did the exact same thing and I did my hair in crochet twists and left the front out because I didn't want to put any tension on it at all and the middle of the edges are just wow so I'm definitely getting these oils and I'm going to start tomorrow thank you so much and I can't wait to see my hair growth and you is growing like wowwwwww such encouragement to know that it will grow back it will grow back it will grow back. Thank you 😊
Oils, scalp massages(Husband duties,😉) and just leaving it alone Works wonders. My hair has been growing like crazy. I still wash and deep condition weekly. (New sub)
Hey Chizi, I have been watching your videos for a few months now (you're awesome btw lol). And I just had to say that your edges look WAY better now! Like wow, the improvement with them is remarkable. Keep it up girl! Watching your natural hair journey has been so inspirational (and yes, there were a few nights when I binge-watched some of your videos hahaha). Keep doing you girly! :) Oh and I am a Nigerian girl too haha
Great video my sis-tah. I have the scalp massager and I don't even use it often. I was playing myself. Thank you for the wake up call sis 🙌🏾 I'm about to get these edges all the way together.
So what styles have you being doing over the past couple of months, especially with the DC area's up & down weather?(if this is in a previous video, ignore me, I'm seeing the vids out of order) I think bonnets and wearing too many puff styles(but I luv them!) is what damaged my edges, but I don't know what else to do.
I love this channel so much so just a suggestion. I see a lot of youtubers asking people to subsribe at the beginnig of the videos. Which i think is wrong because you should let them see the vid first. ❤ just a suggestion 😘
Aba Sykes That irritates me as well. When you don't usher people to subscribe it just sends a negative vibe.... when they use 3 mins to 'campaign' for viewers to subscribe, I'm so put off because its only because they need the numbers for the 'Reward'. I need to know that being a RU-vidr is for intrinsic purposes. The satisfaction is doing the video as a hobby not as a profession. The early RU-vidrs did this as a hobby and didnt do it as a means for a 'reward' but since companies have started to recognise the usefulness of 'Influencers and approach those with high subscriber figures. All you hear is 'Subscribe, Subscribe.....ohhh plssss Subscribe....hit that button'🤤😲😤
TFS..... I need this information 👌💛 I'm trying to grow my edges back as well and I do have a couple of those oils so I will get some more you mentioned.. I really didn't know you can mix them together so thanks again ..... Blessings 👍💟😄
I heard that Jamaican black castor oil was very heavy, so that makes since that you combined the other oils, but I thought that proteins was good for hair
@chiziduru So which of tbe 3 oils did you use to adtually grow back your hair? And how often? using ot as a prepoo and then shampoo, then add it to your edges when depp conditioning again?
When I was I little girl around 4-5 years old I thought I edges were a bad thing so I wouldn't cut them off my mom would get so mad like one time I just used an actual razor and cut my edges off at the age of 5 bc I really hated them now I'm 12 with barely any edges 😭😭😭😧. *Don't Laugh At Me*
Ik that this video is old but i just wanted to watch some of the old ones because my hair type is 4c and i suffer from breakage and i just wanted to ask for some advice because even when i moisturize my hair it doesnt feel as soft as it used to when i first used my products.
She changed her hairstyle frequently that's why her hair doesn't grow as much as she would love to. But I love her energy ❤❤❤. The key to growing our hair is to leave it alone
princess peso i read that sweet almond oil is good. I think castor oil has hurt my edges as well, so I'm going to try the almond oil and see from there. I have low porosity hair, so I'm limited on oils to use.
Apt LifeView so if I use it as a prepoo it won't break my hair off ? Like it was soo bad it looked like i shaved my sides where I was using it. Nvm let me not even tempt myself lol. I'm so jealous of everyone that can use it 😐😐
