Nice job. Good size shed too. Is there any need for any other membrane? Thinking vapour barrier, condensation? And will you be insulating roof? Keep up good work!
@GoForGold256

Yeah that’s my thought too. Steel exterior would sweat on the inside and hopefully not water-log the insulation or corrosion. I assume that a building wrap/membrane against the steel should be added first.

I watched your video and did the strengthen boards in my building. The only difference is I used a full 4x8 sheet of polypro, foil against the metal. I cut a 2 inch strip the length and applied it to the foil side. That way there is a gap between metal wall and foam board. I realize we all are doing the best we can, as there is no "Standard" way. Thank you for your video, you did an awesome job.

Not silly at all! Yes mostly for attaching the ply sheets as the gaps are wider than the sheets and if the wood wasn't there the ply would bow outwards but also for attaching things like shelving or cabinets etc in the future. Thanks for watching!

What did you do with the floor, did you pour concrete after building the shed. I wanted to do that to stop water getting in but not sure if that will block moisture getting out. Did you add a vent anywhere?
@aneegitwithaspanner6373
@aneegitwithaspanner6373 3 года назад
The shed was built over a large concrete plinth and bolted down. A very dry mix of concrete was spread by hand to bring the level of the floor up to the height of the box steel. It rained before this and streams of water could be seen flowing across the floor. The floor is much dryer now.

Have them come back and disconnect the bottom of your metal siding and put a drip ledge under that, then reattach the siding. After that, the water that runs down the siding won't run into the building.
