Yo Karo! I believe I'm the mystical 'Chris' you speak of in the video. I want to say you did a great job talking about the process and you hit 2 key points. 1) Talking out load is a big, positive thing. 2) Tell the interviewer what you know and what you don't. I'm making a solution to cover X, Y, and Z, but it might not be optimal...he's what I think isn't optimal. Folks. Listen to Karo! She is representing well.
Oh wow mystical Chris I can't believe you watched it! 😊 Thanks so much for pointing out what recruiters look at and I hope it will help my audience get ready for their interviews 💪You really made it easier for me to feel comfortable exploring the solutions and think our loud without feeling judged. Thanks! 🙏
I also had my first interview with Chris! He asked me to design a library (a real one for books). The discussion was quite fun actually because of the absurdity of the requirements the library had to accommodate (e.g. house every book ever written).
@@TobyPrime oh yeah I remember that one! This is one of the great examples that you don't need to write a single line of code to be tested on your software engineering skills 👌 it's always your way of thinking and approaching the problem that matters.
No worries, I hope you found something helpful! More videos coming soon :) I will start with the actual Microsoft internship experience and follow up with Google and Canva interview! Will maybe add some small company full-time interviews too 🤔 would that be something you'd like to see?
Full time SWE Canva interview is out now! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rpmPeFzEAEs.html 😊 Real questions and answers + some additional tips :)
It's easy when you know what to expect and have access to resources to help you learn and practice 😁 I hope to have all of that available on my channel and my GitHub soon!
Very nice video and really interesting to compare your experience to mine - it’s pretty different 😅. I had my last interview with Chris. I was expecting a technical interview so while we talked for an hour I was constantly expecting the technical question, but it never came. I miss Oslo and the people in that office, I hope everyone is doing ok
Canva doesn't currently support internships for international students :( You need to be in Australia with an active visa to be able to apply. This isn't as much Canva fault as gov restrictions.
