Thanks so much Terri! 😘 I was struggling to lose weight after 40… cardio workouts weren’t working for me anymore, my body was flabby & I was getting lots of cellulite. But just like you, I tried something different- I listened to Dr Gabrielle Lyon’s interviews (she’s Ed Mylett’s doctor) which encouraged eating more protein + strength training. My body has completely transformed & the weight is falling off! Highly recommend any woman over 40 wanting to lose weight, to look up Dr Gabrielle Lyon & do dumbbell workouts by ‘Lift with Cee’ on RU-vid. I only strength train 3 days per week for 30mins & have never felt better!!
Oh Terri I am 53 and I am also still 'restoring' my body and hormones from menopause. I started gyming 3 March 1990. O have intermittent fasted for 2 years. Also blessed with a photo of a 6 year goal that included graduation photos (feel the same as you about the photo for the same reason). It is comforting to know someone else has also had the same struggle. I am in the best shape in my life. I say this aloud every time I go to the restroom

I love your videos ❤. This message is so on point. I just completed my 2nd day of going to the gym and having a personal trainer. I also have done everything that used to work before I started menopause and I got little to no result, gained 25 lbs and got discouraged, but I made the decision to invest on a personal trainer because I'm worth it and my health is important to me. I feel I need an extra set of eyes to help me see what needs to be adjusted. I'm no stranger to lifting weight or IF but this menopause had me questioning everything that I was doing. I'm excited about this decision and looking forward to an even better version of me. Thank you for the encouraging message.❤🙏
I was going through the same regarding my weight. I had lost all the weight I desired last year, it took me a few years but thank God I lost it. Then end of last year I started to gain weight, I put on two kgs by the beginning of this year. I had done everything I should and it almost seemed like I had to starve to do it, then in despair I called to God and I was led to Fast. I was already doing 16 hours of intermittent fasting, but this one for longer. Also fasting unto the Lord. I lost over two kgs and sometimes it goes up and down but I am happy with my weight now. I too am doing something new with my weight often. Changing my eating times and sometimes doing one meal or two.Thanks sister for this message. Yayy! I downloaded the Alone Advantage book just now because I went to a few B and N, but no book. So, I had the idea, I will see if it's on audible- It was!!! Now, I can listen to it as I walk and go back and listen to it as I write. So very excited!!! Can't wait!

Wow! Wow!! WOW!!! I heard this for the First time ever at work during a great training! Believe me I’ve heard a few inspirational stories like the Eagle in the storm and this truly spoke to me! I'm in my 1st real full year of menopause at 58! I've worked out for 22 year's, except the last 9 months.. I can't lift because of the pain in my arms, I can't do step class because of pain in my feet. I can do spin class but the experts say don't do alot of cardio in menopause. I've gained 14 pounds and I can not loose it. I had to go up a size in my clothes. It's a rough time. Thank you so much.. Thank you for sharing your story! And yes I have your book.. Thank you for sharing I've been trying to loose weight but some of my medications I am taking make me gain weight. so praying to get off these medications I don't know if I will be off the medications anytime soon but I believe if I don't give up and believe God can do it it will happen. Terri can you tell us how many times per week you did intermittent fasting for 16 hrs a day? Was it every day? 3 x a week? Also after the 30 days, what did you do next to keep the results? Do you still do Intermittent fasting? Maybe there's a book to be written by you on this 😊, but some tips would be greatly appreciated. I do IF twice a week, and lost 14lbs! But I still have some belly fast to lose. Looking for what to do next. Also any tips on strength training. I need to get serious with that next as well. Thanks for all you do!
