Painting spirit animals and turning adversity into art, also, how it's helping me cope and overcome some difficult news. This week we overhaul the Etsy shop where James helps me declutter, tidy and organise and also a complete rethink of Etsy as a platform. Is Etsy worth it? Should I leave Etsy? Halfway through the making of this video I received some bad news so I have shared what's going on for me too. And in between everything, I am burying my head into my creativity to help keep my balance with some mixed media painting of some spirit animals. Just want to say, I have been slowly working my way through your RU-vid videos (getting to know you). When I share stories from you with my sister I refer to you as my "gypsy friend". She knows that's you :) What I have learned from you is to allow myself to enjoy my life and I am learning day to day to live in contentment. I'm fully agreement with you, Wendy...and I see the disappointment and despair in your eyes (((soft hugs))). I find it very disheartening how fast things are moving...too fast...we, as humans, aren't meant to adapt and change so quickly and I feel like we're approaching critical mass where "progress" goes. I know it's a highly unpopular opinion but I think things really do need to slow down....unfortunately we've been well and truly trained to want More and Faster by the big corporations that are pulling the puppet strings. *sigh*. AND, I'm also hopeful....I've spent most of the week in my garden and that never fails so mend what's ailing me. Keep shining, lovely Wendy...and keep refusing xo

Wendy - I understand your frustration. But I’m afraid our country has changed. We no longer have any semblance of democracy. Even when councils receive overwhelming negative feedback about a proposal - they still go ahead with it. What matters to people in power is maintaining their false narrative, controlling people and money. Good luck - (but I would also continue looking for a new place to live if I were you) - ☘️

I'm sorry that your case was not successful Wendy. Just a thought - even if you had the money, fighting an appeal may adversely affect your (mental) health too and would be like a big black cloud hanging over you for who knows how long. You are a good person and tried so hard but sometimes we have to draw the line to let those lights shine in another direction.

I left Etsy last year. It was a difficult decision, but I really don't regret it. I believe you get buried on Etsy. They don't do much for you really. They are expensive, and the (few) instances when I needed their help, they are non-existent. You are better off on your own. With 142K subscribers here, we will get word out for you and you will do better in reaching your followers and potential customers. I am sorry about the new station and hope it all works out. I don't have to tell you that sometimes things happen for a reason. Sometimes the worst things wind up to be something that was good for us when we are looking back. We were renting a home several years ago and were promised it would be for at least five years, as the owners moved 2 hours north. We fixed up the house to our liking and spent both time and resources making it nice and after about 2.5 years, we were notified that they were selling the house and we had to leave. Needless to say, we were livid. But we actually found another place within a few hours which was owned by family friends of my partner (Keith). We have been here four years and are so much happier and the place is far more suitable.This time we feel secure in that we won't have to leave until we are ready. Our landlord and his family are wonderful. We are grateful we were 'booted'. So maybe it is the way of the universe letting you know it is time to really move. You may find better and I would think that is a better plan to pursue rather than trying to fight. You are a good advocate and can continue with your group(s) who are questioning it, but it won't consume you or your resources. (PS - I don't even have a cell phone. I am a holdout and do fine without one. ;) )

I understand you very much Wendy. Here in Germny, in the area which I live, we have been struggles with windmill parks they want to put up and they are known to cause health problems. Another thread are insects, that have started to come over from Asia and other warmer places, such as the Mediteranien, for example the asian wasp, which is killing our bees. This is due to warmer climate. It has been so rainy and humid the past years and no snow. When I look back to my childhood years, back in the 60s and 70s, we used to have dryer summers and loads of snow in winter. We even had a skilift in our hometown. It is long gone, taken down and transformed into a meadow. Chin up Wendy, you are a wonderful soal and life always finds a way to get things in order. Here at the Jersey shore in NJ we are battling offshore windmills. Whales and dolphins are washing up dead or dying constantly yet the government says it's not the windmills. It's horrifying.

I feel for you, I am like you, but I would rather be alone, with my rescue greyhound Madge, than be with someone who made me unhappy, or whom I made unhappy. I sold my car a year ago now, and live in an isolated rural spot in West Devon, but enjoy the freedom of walking Madge, and enjoying the nature all around me. I have not been out and about since January 2000. I too find it is great watching our lovely Wendy, as she is a real person, with real feelings. xxx

Wonderful video! I too have felt like this world is moving way too fast, and can we just slow down for a bit. I so agree with you on letting everyone have their say and see if there are areas where we agree or maybe can learn some valuable pieces of information. I had always been pro-wind power. I knew the dangers of nuclear and thought wind and sun were better-safer options. Then my small town had a wind farm built. One windmill was very close to a friends house and she began having problems and had to move. Also I learned the farm supplied only 2% of our power needs. As you said how do we make these decisions? Good discussion and food for thought. TY.

The world is about money., not about compassion, community, or what is "right". However the majority, if we would ever pull together, IS about fairness, justice (for humans and non humans), sustainability and community. Too, we keep giving our power away. Even if you don't have $ to fight, you do have spiritual power - prayer, intention, and Light. These powers go beyond the 3D realm and are much stronger.. I have started writing words on the underside of my art work to project intention in my art to move us into the 6D realm. Remembering that the heart is 200X stronger than the mind can help put issues into perspective as well. I agree that EMF emissions are very detrimental to living things, but I also use technology. So I surround myself with protection - with tools & psychically.

Wendy I love your beautiful hares! So sweet! And I completely understand feeling exhausted and hopeless at times. It’s so important-as you know-to balance nurturing creativity, love, and being out in nature with “fighting the good fight.” I admire your activism. My 2 cents: the large corporations and conglomerates are like a soulless combine, plowing everything in front of it under, with no regard to respect or health, all to increase their profit and power. They’re often run by people who have no problem lying and cheating and intimidating to achieve their goals. Slowing down, pausing, resetting and going backward is not in their playbook. Winning against them is arduous and can take decades. But we must try. Because we can make a difference, as you mentioned in the other example as well as other wins we’re lucky to hear about or be part of. My concern is with you and your health-yours and James. That’s your priority! Much love!

Dear Wendy, I do agree with you, we need to be allowed to talk and discuss about such things and the voice of 'us', the small people, the voice of the nature, should be heard, but it seems to me, our world goes to fast in a wrong direction, in my opinion. I am so in tune with your feelings. I don’t stomp and scream but I do try to think and calmly discuss different points of view. Each time , it seems that money making takes precedent. I’m in the US and profit margins override most everything else. The prices of groceries have been increasing by $1-$3 weekly on most items for no logical reason. Medications are the same. Housing and automobile prices are insane now. We are ok financially now and have paid off debt but there is a breaking point for all of us except the ultra wealthy. We continue to have massive flooding , violent storms resulting from deforestation , commercial properties overtaking the natural environment. All the storms , flooding cost enough in repairing and re building that it would make sense to preserve the natural landscape. Oh well, I don’t want to sound like doomsday. I continue to paint , preserve our forested land around our home , feed the wildlife , and enjoy nature. We even bought a forested lot across our road just so the deer and other animals can live in peace and raise their offspring. I try to stay positive and do these small things. It seems it’s all I can do for now. I respect all your efforts and can imagine your frustration. We can do only so much and most of it is a small drop in the bucket. But we are doing the best we can. That’s all we can expect of ourselves.

Hi Wendy, I’m so sorry to hear the government hasn’t listened to your fears over the new mast 😞 I don’t know much about EMF’s, but as a fellow sensitive person, it sounds hard to live with. My brother lives near several pylons, and it is a worry, especially with a little person toddling around now, too. I can surely empathize; I wake up some days feeling like I've been hit by a semi truck (lorry?). And some days the smallest chore, like mowing my very flat lawn with a self-propelled mower, puts me down for the count, which is 2 full days. Treat yourself like you would your child. We make sure they get enough rest, regular meals, reasonable bedtimes, and extra naps as needed. We also squeeze in beautiful moments with nature as needed. I agree Wendy, leaving the bigger platforms makes a lot of sense. They all take fees for practically nothing. A lot of local restaurants in my German town are leaving food delivery platforms because of the high fees or giving a certain % off if you order directly. I also need to drastically declutter and I‘m really bad at it, it’s probably been 5 years since I decluttered my office. Thanks for being you!

Etsy used to be a place to find quality artisan products, but it has been swamped with cheap tat. I cancelled my Etsy shop last year as it was pointless keeping it. I never sold a single thing on Etsy, but have sold lots on eBay.

I hear you Wendy on things moving so fast, without real discussion and research into whether or not all of this technology will create more harm than good. Where I live on the east coast of Australia, there is an offshore wind farm planned. I am all for finding new alternatives for sustainable energy. But to be putting massive turbines in the ocean, only a few kms off the coast seems to me that we are replacing one environmental disaster with another. There has been very little community consultation, the couple of community meetings that were held were not well publicised. The government and energy company have decided it’s going ahead. They way they’ve gone about it, seems very deliberately secret. I’m one to question things too. The lack of discussion on so many issues facing us all is really a concern. It’s a struggle because I dislike conflict too. But I think those of us who are natural questioners need to keep speaking, seeking truth, encouraging discussion, trying to get the powers that be slow down and see that there is more to life than money.

I'm with you Wendy. I have three shops on Etsy and rarely sell anything. I don't have the time to keep them up really as I am also an artist so that takes my time. I hate the fees. I also think I am sensitive to electromagnetic fields. In the 90's I often questioned any effect all this tech could be having on us on a cellular level. I question lots of stuff. These last few years have been soul depleting, even as a loner who lives in my studio.

Questioning is good. They just don't want critical thinking anymore. Just look at what we have been through in the last three years. All the censorship and shutting down of debate. Science is never settled by its own existence, its meant to question. Money snd power is the driver. Ethics and morals don't come into and without hope what do we have. I live in a country where nobody buys art. People expected me to offer my art for free, and it made me so sad that my depression got worse. I agree that technology is moving to fast, faster than we can possibly keep up with. In today’s world Wi-Fi, cell phones are part of our lives and are much needed in many ways, but I would not want a cell phone tower essentially in my back yard. Every little piece of empty square land in my town is being built on. Mostly very high end apartment buildings most people can’t afford to live in. We dream of moving to a much more secluded, quieter area, but then comes the loss of internet, Wi-Fi, and cell service that we use to make a living with. My kids school from home, my husband works from home, so we feel very stuck in the situation we are in. I did connect with you when you were talking about compartmentalizing your brain in ways. I want to be a minimalist, we don’t need “stuff”. I have very little attachment to things, one of my hobbies is photography so our life is well documented. But in the same sense I’m also a creative, I love art supplies and when it comes to that I want all the stuff, lol. I try very hard to keep things to a minimum, but it’s hard. So my brain is in a constant battle of wanting to get rid of everything, but keeping everything at the same time. Almost everything outside of my creative habits can go, but my camera and my art supplies stay.

I get more fatalistic with every passing year Wendy but it doesn't stop me from speaking out on occassion. I have had to detach myself emotionally from "causes" because it's just too rough on me to care that much. It does seem to me that we are getting more and more bound and gagged by technology , scams, malware AI issues its overwhelming. So this little old artist lady in her garden haven just focusses on exuding peace,and calm into the world where once I was an outspoken activist. Good on you for doing all that you did and who knows how your energy mark will affect the hologram.

Your rabbits are wonderful, no way to tell they are out of your box. Your art is a dreamy ,s lovely sort of art that I love !!!You are such a talented artist and you inspire me to pick up my pencil and draw again. I would feel the same way you do about that kind of technology being close to our home. We are fortunate that we are in area with old technology and we do not have any towers near our home. I deeply believe it affects our bodies and just having it in our homes is not good, but I still use my phones and wi fi. Not really sure if it affects me or no, but who is to know what it is doing to us even if we do not actively feel the affects. I hope it takes a while to get it set up and that you can find a new home in an area that is not close to a tower. I think it is terrible to put that near children and older people, let alone everyone else, and some people are like you and deeply affected but do not realize what is causing the symptoms. I just feel so bad for you, and all the living beings in the affected area, human and otherwise, that is a terrible situation to have to deal with with. The AI situation is a pretty scary. Moving way too fast !!!

I fully agree with your thoughts and concerns. And I think a lot of people have health problems related to this and other forms of pollution..and they don't realize it. They just think they have some mysterious condition that cannot be identified or they do have a diagnosis but don't associate it with 4 or 5 G or microplastics, or toxins in their water...or, or, or...It is so difficult. But we must try to challenge the perpetual attack on nature. I admire you for your efforts and I hope you get lots of rest. I find fighting it to be exhausting.

Yes, Wendy - I so agree with you, "Can't we as mankind slow down just a little bit?" And these things do need to be looked at from all angles. Coming from a small island in the Pacific Northwest in Canada - these topics like Cell Towers would come to a debate...they were always stalemated as half the island was pro and the other half con. And quietly a cell tower would go up in the middle of the night that no one would claim responsibility for and we just had to adapt as protests fell on deaf ears...and you are right our current world is run by corporations who ensure lucrative financial benefits to those doing their bidding. I saw this at an early age when I was a journalist. A real journalist. A truth teller. Yes, the creatives do seem to be the advocates and voices for the underdogs...it only takes one person to change the world. It does. Just one. I can very much relate to your Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity as I have the same...and am sensitive to knowing when there will be an earthquake near us, a hurricane and electrical storms. As an empath and creative - my body is a barometer. You can tell the future Wendy - you are part of creating a really beautiful one that many of us are co-creating alongside you. .........I loved your story board with the hare...I love the hare myself and on a recent visit to my homeland, Wales - I went to the shops and bought many cards with the hare and the moon....I love the works of Celtic artists, Amanda Clarke and Wendy Andrews which I found everywhere includiing the Henge Shop in Avebury Stone Circle. You are looking really well Wendy - the clock must be going backwards for both you and James..you both look good...office is looking great...re-organizing is an arduous task....thank you - love your videos and your artwork...I appreciate your Etsy shop but so very much understand you wanting to be independent which I would very much support. It's hard to convince these companies with money. So I do some things to help my well being and it has helped me a lot. I have some fabric made of silver and I place it over my modem/router. My computer is hard wired. I bought some faraday bags. I unplug my modem/router when sleeping or not using my computer. My phone gets turned out at night and placed in the faraday bag. There is paint that you can paint either the inside of your place or outside that blocks it. I am very sensitive to it. I keep most everything in my house unplugged from the electric outlets except for my refrigerator, washer and dryer. TV unplugged until I need to use it. Yes, sort of a hassle but it doesn't take that much time to do. AND I have saved quite a bit of money on my electric bill since doing this. I still have ringing in my ears, but I do sleep well at night now. I haven't used the paint only because then I would not have phone service and my cell is my only phone. But the rest was easy to do. Here in the US, you can request an old house meter instead of the new smart meters which run digital. I live in a mobile home park which does not use smart meters at each home, only the main meter for the entire park. It's a third party that reads our meters not the power company.You can purchase clothing and/or material and make clothes that block the EMF's. I do not buy "smart" gadgets for the house like cameras that use wifi. There are towers not that far from me. I actually know of three of them within a mile of where I live. When wifi is on, it does search for signals. So turn off the wifi especially at night. It gets so quiet when there is a power outage! All that buzzing is gone. With satellites in space, it is now everywhere. Best of everything to everyone everywhere. Don't know what else to do.

l agree with you on all the 5G craziness, and all the health issues, where l live we are now surrounded by it and l haven't felt 100% well since, it is difficult to not get angry about all the greed associated with it...all we can do is try and adapt ...*shrugs shoulders*..thank you for speaking out about it, as for your new home there are a few places left in the uk that have boycotted 5G x

I agree with you that technology needs to slow down. The need for stronger masts comes from the constant pressure on people to upgrade to the latest so companies and shareholders make lots of money. Then the phone you have is obsolete so you have to change to something you don’t want or need! Stay strong and take care of yourself!❤❤❤
