Well done and very brave of you Rob. Loved the last bit! I think the pandemic and all the lock downs have contributed to everyone’s depression and lack of focus levels. Learning new ways out of it is very important - I’m sure this will help loads of people. 👏🏻🤗
Thanks Rob for another great video... I greatly admire your honesty and willingness to share and help... I can identify with a lot of this. I think we do miss the tactile side of things. I mess around with digital painting sometimes, but I miss the smell of the oils and mixing the colours for real. Have you tried Tai Chi or Yoga?.. I found these very helpful, and kind of like another form of meditation in themselves. Thanks also for the Journaling suggestion, and self-care worksheet- this is something I've been meaning to try. I will continue to follow your journey - signed up for life!..
I've tried Tai Chi and Yoga. Tai Chi resonated with me more. I still do the warm up exercises everyday (swinging arms and sink and pray) but I've forgotten the form, etc. I would love to do it again but I need a teacher. Thank you so much, Harry, I hope you stay subscribed. Let me know if you want me to do another version of the self care check in sheet for you.
I love your candid videos, Rob! 😁. I have been doing drawings (I can't draw for toffee! but still..) and writing pieces of fiction lately, and I have found it very calming and grounding. It makes me feel more like my authentic- self than I ever feel being plugged in, so- to- speak. I recommend the books Think Like a Monk by Jay Shetty if you haven't read it, and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari
Hey Nicky, I've added the Jay Shetty book to my Amazon wish list and I've read all Yuval Harari's books. I actually prefer Sapiens. But one of the lessons from 21 Lessons for the 21st Century is meditation and getting to know yourself. Awesome stuff! Good on you for doing drawings. I gotta start doing that some day!
