Couple things...1. Appreciate you making this video. 2. You're right about a lot (especially the part about getting out early sometimes and taking that profit, at least 1/2 anyways of your position). 3. On the SHOP trade (far be it from me to give anyone advice/thoughts), but...if you used the 8EMA combined with the ATR trailing stop, it would have signaled your short at 9:56am with both a dip below the moving average and a sell signal from the ATR. This move was of course confirmed with a break of the low of day (a strong break too)...larger point, you could have let the trade go a little longer, until a full candle broke above the EMA (signaling a consolidation, or a general end of the move anyways)...this was at 10:17am. Your gains would have been minimal more BUT, the ema and the atr combined would have kept you in the trade if it in fact kept moving lower and didn't get a reversal signal from either. This has saved me many times where I would have gotten out with a small profit, but instead sold 1/2 and one time (NFLX) just kept going in the same direction until 3pm (I sold 1/2 at the EMA reversal, but kept the trade going because the ATR never kicked in)!!
@Umar - You can show your options trade in the chart. Right click (volume or open interest) the strike for the put or call, send the data to a chart (color: red, yellow, etc..you choose, just make sure you have the chart displayed first with the correct linked color code). If you enable active trader then you can trade options directly from the chart, this is much faster for entering and exiting.
Thanks for sharing man. Your content is something that should be taught in schools growing up. Instead of taking all these AP courses, high schools all across America should teach stuff like this! I went to college at UCLA to get a degree that only drowned me in debt, graduated, got a certificate, applied for a job and they offered me entry level pay! haha I need to focus my intellectual energy into shit like this! I agree 100%, giving the RR value from a trade or average RR from a series of trades is more useful, as a big win from poor risk management is a temporary win at best

Nice video, a lot of truth spoken here... Scalping is a very risky business unless you know what you´re doing, and evidently, this guy is well trained.
be confident in that you are reading the charts correctly if you accutally are doing so. worst thing ever being insecure on something you with 9/10 certainty will happen but then getting frightened and bailing over something minor and losing out on the big move u calculated.

I do a pre market scan and usually start with 1) market news/ direction... 2) Look for any catalyst such as upgrades/ downgrades/ major news.... 3) Look for pre market movers..... and then setup a focus list on stocks to watch
Trading takes a lot of discipline it seems. A win is a win. Take the money and get out. I have just started my learning on the stocks and trading, I ordered a ton of books, and have been taking extensive notes as I watch and read various content. I am leaning towards having to a dual strategy of long term investments/ dividends and trading. Granted this is my view one week into my learning so that could change. But I really appreciate your video! I am going to check your channel and see if you have any suggestions in regards to setups and applications to use for Trading vs Investing. One thing I learned was that to do trading you need to use something that has fast execution and settle times

Hi. I have a question. How do you see the price of the contracts? Charts only show the price of the stock so, how do you know how much you're up or down. I made 7k Tuesday off DOCU (Monday and Tuesday combined I believe) and gave it all back Thursday, Friday :(. I need to learn to stop giving my profits up. Clean trades umar, i’m dabbling into options but struggle a bit with one thing only and that is calculating the risk. For example the apple trade you took 63 contracts for 1.05 premium. That’s 6615 invested. Do you use that as total risk that you are willing to lose? Or do you get out earlier with calculations? My point is that i would like to buy or short options for example 1000 dollars invested but only wish to risk 500 if the trade goes against you. How do you calculate those half losses. Or do you just keep that 6615 risk in mind if it goes against you. Thnx for any help bro👍🏼
Using the indicator you can predict the divergence of the trade which allow you to trade when the price goes above or below the bollinger bands 3.0 or even 2.5

Hey Umar, Great video as always. Thank you for always posting useful content - one of the most "real" traders on youtube. I was wondering - what makes you choose ATM or OTM options? I see that on your aapl trade, you decided to buy 63 OTM puts at 1.05 - why not buy half the amount of puts at ~2.00 ATM instead? Do you look at delta and see which one will make you more money with the move? Thanks!
I think he did this because he would get half the leverage if he bought contracts that were double the cost. For example, 30 cents gained on $1 contracts would earn him 30% whereas 30 cents gained on $2 contracts would earn him 15%, 30 cents gained on $4 contracts would earn him 7.5%, etc. Since he is trading weekly options delta should be close to 1 and theta close to 0. He likes to capture short term moves so I believe that's why he chose them. Hope this helps!

I have been trading for a while with probably over 1000 trades but no real great profits and always bailing myself out of deep losses but always redeeming myself eventually in the end. So if I looked at the history of the stock, and noticed that the current price is at a low point, in line with the other low points in the past, would I be right to just buy some shares, and hold on to it, even if it drops more in price, waiting for a possible rise, then selling?

So true, I got a call on MDC and got out at a good time and took my profits then it went down, I bought another call and 3 mins later, sold it again. I’m happy I made money, greed would have made me lose.

I'm a Trader, usually I do not comment on trading but on this video I had to say something. People please do not follow any of this information. it's terrible. Yes he has a basic understanding but just like so many he has got it all wrong. There is a difference between trading and gambling and this guy is gambling plain and simple. Looks at a few indicators and then places a trade, it's no better than a 6 year old. Trading is exactly like waking up in a jungle full of wild animals ready and waiting to eat you, and they will, Easily. There is not enough space on here to tell you how to trade but let me tell you this 90% eventually fail. Trading is an art, is requires a level of work most will never ever put in and that's before you've put your first trade. Question would you fight a snake to the death with your bare hands? When buying Puts, do you have to own 100 shares of that stock if your buyer exercises it? Or is it only the right to sell at your strike price, and you only pay the premium for the contract rights?
As a put buyer, you have no obligation to buy and shares if you don’t want to. You lose only the premium you paid. As a put seller you have right and obligation to buy 100 shares if the buyer chooses to exercise the right

This maybe a dumb question but I'm trying to understand the risk with options. Can you sell a contract that's down for a smaller loss before it expires to minimize your risk much like regular stocks?

If you bought a put, would it stimulate the stock to go up? I believe that is your question. The answer is no. to put it in the harshest terms, the market doesnt care if you bought a put or call. it does its own thing.

10AM New York, since he is trading US stocks and their session starts at 9:30 ET. As for Forex, there is surely an increased liquidity during US session, but not as significantly as in stocks.
