Although I realize that cell phone repair is a big money maker, I am currently interested in creating a business in other areas, such as TVs, gaming systems, test equipment, audio equipment, etc. Any trends you're seeing (or hearing about) in these areas?

Hi, I just seen your video which was very encouraging for new business enthusiastic. How's the mobile phone repair business now in 2017 (U.K) as the parts getting very expensive.

*Your a Cool Guy, lol i am half way into the Video and you repaired like 4 phones lol wow, I ALSO HAVE the thinker mind set, and tats how i make my RU-vid Videos, lol and usialy i get into doing some repair is because i need it done, and thats how i learn, I am getting ready to repair my Note 4 USB charging port, i was shooting a Video in Heavy rain, and my Phone is not water proof, lol so i lost Microphone, lol wich later started working, then i went to charge my phone, charged it from 10% to 60% and i got a Screen warning mesedge that my phone is about to Turn off Due to extreme overheating problem, so phone automatically started shutting down, lol so i went to pull USB cord and Burned my fingers it was way HOT, lol it melted the Plastic Note 4 cover and the plastic behind the cover, and the USB port is Chard now and wont charge, i already ordered the part and the tools to fix it, so i am looking forward to making a video on this, BTW the waterproofing is something i am interested in now lol*

Shoulda gone with NEA through the jobcenter....lots of help with financing and a pretty much interest free loan :)

Repair is a sideline of my core business parts, just handling such items for friends and existing business clients on request. I'm thinking about driving that part of the business into a bonefide segment and making it part of the revenue model. This video was like me picking your brain. The questions I asked while watching, you seemed to answer as I asked them. Well done, Dustin. You recommend eTrade as a vendor. Certainly one of the most dominant issues in repair, at least for me, is the procurement of QUALITY OEM or OEM Equivalent parts. EBay is a roll of the dice. So I appreciate that valuable info piece. Hi there. I keep seeing dead Samsung Tab 2 10.1 inch tablets. They don't charge and I've tried EVERY forum tip and fix but it still won't work (power and volume button etc). There are 000s of dead Tab 2's for sale on eBay. Is this a known fault? Are they beyond repair?

I'm looking to start my own mobile repair business (I live in the uk) I'm currently off sick due to an unknown illness possibly nerve damage in my leg, I've been off sick from 3 months now and I need a job that works from home. I'm similar to you I some respects, I have adhd and learnt to control it without meds, I love to play with phones like customize the roms and tinker with the bloatware ect. I do love mobiles and I'm looking to fix my old z3 (cracked screen) just to sell it to make some money. I've brought all the equipment (not the machines as being off sick my budget is limited) first of all I need advice from yourself

You are very informative, what do you see in the future for cellphone repair? Do you believe things will be more throw away phones in the future?

What kind of graphics chip does your laptop have? The reason I ask is because I had an ASUS Transformer Infinity Pad where the flash video would not work. I found out that it was because of the NVidia GPU chip. It was not compatible with Adobe. Adobe dropped support for the Flash Player on Android and certain chipsets. They have no intentions of updating it in the future. This may be the reason why your laptop is not working properly.

Just wondering I noticed you didn't use a loca mould for glass replacement. Do you think it's easier w/o or would you recommend using one?

for someone thats looking to open their own repair business, do you think just starting with a reflow machine and a good soldering iron are satisfactory to start with, i work on any phone pretty much, from the replacement or ribbons on samsungs,Iphones ipads to replacing certain chips and charging ports.

I've wanted to do phone repairs for a few years now. I didn't have the time or the money ! Now I have both and I've decided to buy tools on ebay and watch some videos to learn. At first I did a phone for my friend and messed up. So I dedided to never do phones for friends again. Instead I buy old phones and fix them, so far I've broke 3/5 ! I'm getting a bit discouraged but I'm a keep at it ! I wanted to know what tools would you suggest ? Or tips ? I've only done only 10 cellphones so far :-(
