Hi Alisa...I was in the fabric store this afternoon and a lady was buying flannel for PJs for the family. I told her about your video today and all the links to the wonderful inspirational videos you do. She said she did not have a pattern but was going to copy another pair that she has. I just know she will find lots of great ideas and tips for her project. I think she has 6 to make.

I have been wanting to make matching for my family of four (me, my husband , my two years old son and one year old daughter) but kind of scared to pull the trigger. If I mess up it’s going to be a disaster .

I once made pajama bottoms for a boyfriend. He was very touched because nobody had ever "made" something just for him. They were pretty terrible, if I'm honest, but the repurposed fluffy blanket (luckily) hid quite a lot!!!

I love y'alls jammies. Many years ago, I made 10 pairs of pajama bottoms and decorated t-shirts to match. I said, I'd never do it again. They were Christmas gifts.

This video genuinely made me feel so happy. You are meticulous as always in terms of the sewing, but also with a little holiday family cheer/reality. Lots of hard work, creative and practical thinking, too, which you always deliver. I'm not always a big fan of RU-vid content-makers taking me along when they are just shopping, but you absolutely hit the right note with this personal/family project. I particularly liked the accompanying music that suggested a "quest!" So much fun! I like that you take some risks but also have a consistent core of providing value, skill-development over time, and the reality-check that sewing is work that sometimes results in challenges and even failures (learning opportunities!!!!). Great stuff, Alisa. I hope that you and your family find time to enjoy this holiday season.

Yep, with a coverstitch, just a single fold hem, but you can also do that on a sewing machine, by hand or even... here's an idea, flatlock stitch on a serger!
