HI Brandon, thank you for the wonderful video tutorial. Do you have a video showing how you finish the process, such as uploading it to Etsy and everything? I'd like to see you do a full listing with one of the templates. :) Thank you!
Hello there! I'm glad you enjoyed the video tutorial. While I don't have a specific video showcasing the entire process of uploading a product to Etsy using one of the templates, I do cover this extensively in my digital product course. In the course, I walk students through the step-by-step process of creating an Etsy shop from scratch, including detailed instructions on listing products. For more detailed information, you can check out my free masterclass, which provides additional insights and tips here: bit.ly/bt-free-webinar.
When my friend clicked in template link it shows option to edit oryginal project or use as template in new project. So it means ppl can ctill choose weather mess with oryginal or just go with own copy...What I did wrong? I made sure I did everything done properly with settings, links etc...
can you make a video on how to make listing images that are not blurry. whatever I tried, my images don't look as sharp as my competitors' listing images. thank you
Is there a way to just provide a Canva link for the customers to download the file as is instead of having an option to modify the template? Because I tried the shared link in a different browser and it requires them to make an account.
Thanks for an amazing video! 👏🏻 I was just wondering how you optimise the Etsy thumbnail for mobile devices as I have a new shop and no matter how I resize the main photo (thumbnail) the width keeps getting cut off 🙄 Thanks in advance for a grateful subscriber 👏🏻🙂
Could I create these templates on my own via Word etc and create it into a PDF? Would that save costs from doing it via Canva or anything else like that...
Hi. I have been adding my files to Etsy but I don’t know if I’m doing anything wrong as I don’t get any views. How can I get more views? Thanks. Really enjoyed this video
Selling digital downloads on Etsy is becoming non-profitable, with so many people low-balling their prices - 0.19 and below sometimes. When I first started out, what I sell was selling for 4.99 - now a lot of them are down to almost nothing ... a few cents - How are these people even making any money? I put a lot of work into my creations and was having fun doing it, but it's not worth it anymore.
Hi, are you able to upload a PDF print under the same listing as well as uploading the link? For example, giving them one option to just print it as is and the other option is edit it under the same listing? Or should it be two different listings one for each edit or print
Hey Brandon i love all your videos, Thanks for sharing such a good tips and trick for etsy. I have a question though. ➡️Ive notice that everbee is la Kind of hugely inaccurate data when analyzing certain shop statistics sales etc, while erank has completely different stats. Do you Think sales samurai can save the day here? I saw you had installed sales samurai extension in this video but you didnt use it though. Can you please do a video comparison between the best etsy keyword tools so to show what of each tool is good for? Eg sales samurai has accurate search volume? etc. So we can rule them all. Thank you so much 😊
Yes I would like to see a comparison as well. I am totally confused on what tool to use. Many are saying on you tube that Everbee gives inaccurate data.
@@createwithtracey2685 Nice so we are on the same boat. Probably you are thinking very analytical like me because lot of tools out there. I noticed myself lot of weird differences between the same keywords and that makes you think that "we need to find the most accurate tool" because if you cannot measure right you cant find the target, so target is very important here!
Hey, I'm your new subscriber and a new Etsy seller, I joined your webinar and it's quite helpful for me to take the first step. Anyway, have you make content about license? I just read Etsy has a rule that we can't make the same listing on Etsy. But what if someone buy and sell them in other platforms? Do we need a license for our digital product ? how to make them? Thanks before 🙏.
Hi Brandon! When people buy my editable templates and make changes on their end, it's making all the same edits on my end completely changing the original template for myself and future purchasers. Am I sharing the wrong share link? I'm not sure how to fix this.
Hey, Brandon. I'm just wondering coz you said to get a template link you need to have the Canva Pro. However, I check the free version and it has it there too. Is there any difference between those two? Thank you,
Great video but if you want to make more money make KDP A+ Canva templates. Good quality ones are so difficult to find especially in relation to coloring books.
Hi Brandon, thanks for posting this content. Really appreciate it. Just a question re: Canva Pro. You mention that you can only share a template using Canva Pro. I notice in the free version of Canva you can still share a template. If you have a minute to reply, I'd appreciate your insight. Thank you!
Great video! I’m glad came across your RU-vid! This might be a dumb question, but when I share my link from canva do I have to give each customer their own link to use or do I just need to copy it once and add it to my thank you page for that specific product? Thanks!
You only need to share one link to everyone. Make sure to use the Canva pro plan, that will ensure your customers to make their own copy before editing
Can you do a video driving traffic to your listing from scratch (Ground 0) or is this more from organic social media marketing? Not alot of people showing that. Just because you list something, doesn't mean you sell it.
Hi @Brandon Timothy, I am really impressed with your techniques and skills used. Do you take 1:1 sessions to teach students who are new to this platform ( Digital Product and Marketing? I am all in. Let me know ?
I currently don't have a one-on-one session, but I conduct weekly coaching calls with my DFA community! You can join my Digital Freedom Academy here: www.brandontimothy.com/academy
wait, if i remember correctly u could just share the template link with free account, no apply for premium account.i know cause ive just did it couples of days ago with multiple other template.
Can you only use free Canva templates and elements as the customer is unlikely to have a pro account? What size would you recommend to use for the listing images so they’re fully optimised for mobile devices?Thank you very much 😁
Hey, Brandon you are doing great well I watched all ur videos so far though I am not exactly know what you do you do when sales order has come by . I mean will you send them the digital product through their mail or else something. Please please make video on this 😊
Good question, I should definitely make a video on this. But just to answer you quickly, you would upload these pdfs on Etsy listings. And once a customer makes a purchase, Etsy will automatically send those files to the customer. Making it passive and automated. You won’t have to do anything.
Great video! So did you mean that if you have canva PRO , your template cant be edited automatically? I mean your original one, even when the custumer doenloads it and starts editing it
Hi Katy, even if you're using the free version of Canva, your original design can't be modified as long as the link you've shared is the template link.
Hi Brandon, this may seem like a bit of a silly question, but could you tell us what laptop u use? Like your tech setup for work? I'm looking to buy one and would like to start a digital product business and was wondering if there is something I should look out for to help support making digital products better. Thanks for all the helpful vids you make! (:
Yes! After the purchase, the buyers can automatically download it from Etsy. There's no need to send it unless they request it, and I don't know how to download it.
I really appreciate your tutorial. I am having trouble with my links not being accessible except with a pro account. I tried adding a thank you page with the link to an editable template but it only works using my pro account not my free account. Do you have any suggestions? I have deleted the link and created a new link and that still hasn't fixed the problem.
That's true, if you use Pro images or elements in Canva and your buyer has a free Canva account, they will see a watermark all over them. I suggest using free Canva photos or elements, fonts, or resources from Creative Fabrica instead to avoid this issue.
I still dont understand why people buy digtal planners and stuff that they need to print themselves. Especially planners which have many pages and should be in a book, not loose papers. Someone tell me I'm wrong?
Great vid, when it comes to listing digital art made by a designer, do you still choose the option that "you made it" or a member "of my shop" or "production partner" Thanks
Hi Brandon, Can you kindly share how Graphic Designers can use AI tools to Improve their Game On Etsy ? And what are the current AI trends digital templates one can sell on Etsy ...
It's not a screenshot coz the mouse pointer changes to text selector when he hovers over text. But the text could be edited using inspect element on browser so a refresh is a good idea
Yes! But, it's important to modify the designs before reselling them to avoid any infringement issues. Make sure to add your unique touch and creative elements to the templates, ensuring they become your own original work. This not only respects copyright laws but also adds value to your offerings. Good luck!
Yes you can still share the templates but the receiving end (customer) has the ability to edit your master template. Which is not good if you want to resell it to new customers
Hi Brandon, great channel! I’m planning to create an ETSY shop selling Canva presentation templates. If I purchase a Canva Pro account, use some Pro elements on my design, use the template link on the PDF that will be uploaded on ETSY, will the buyer be able to see the Pro elements if they are not using a Canva Pro account? I’ve read that if we (designers) are not using a Pro account, we can purchase the Pro element for $1 that can only be used multiple times in one design file. But I’m not sure if it would still apply if we use it in a shareable design template. Also, I think we would still be able to share a ‘template link’ even though we are not using a Pro account. That’s why I’m torn if I should still purchase the Pro account or not. If I purchase it, I won’t be able to buy the Pro elements for my design since it’s already free, but if I put it on ETSY and a buyer doesn’t have the Pro account, they will see a watermark on the Pro element. On the other hand, if I have the free Canva account and buy the Pro element for my design, I’m not sure if the Pro element would still apply on the donwloaded template when I share the link. Would love to know what you would suggest! Thanks in advance! ☺️
Thanks for the comment! 1. If you include pro elements in your templates, your customers can see it but can not download it with a free account. 2. You can still share templates with a free account. But the customer will be editing your original template, making it impossible to resell your master template.
Brandon, this might sound silly. I get how to send the final link on the thank you card, but is that all I send. How do I send the template that I’ve created- does it go separate ? Please clarify
While setting up your listing on Etsy, you should be able to see a field where you can drag or upload your PDF file that the buyers can immediately access as soon as they purchase your product.
Hello Clara, as of the moment, Canva enables creators to share their template links, even for users with free accounts. Buyers can now access and create copies of these templates. I believe it wasn't allowed before. So, in two years, it really will depend on the free and pro feature access updates of the Canva app.
Do you or someone know if the canva template (link) still works, when your canva pro subscription ended? (This would be really bad, because you would need to put down your listings, when you end your canva subscription.) Because I heard you can only generate these links with a pro subscription , is this still the case?
Hi! I would like to ask you for some information; I am creating some Canva templates that I would like to try to sell on my website but when I create the access link to the template and try to edit it, it automatically edits my copy as well. So it means that every time some customers make an edit, other customers see it too. What am I doing wrong?
Do you need to send the customer back to Canva then? What if you template has pro elements but they have a free account (if any). Can you not download your edited template as pdf and sell directly on Etsy?
1. If you're selling customizable templates, then yes, the customer will need to use canva to make the edits 2. If you use pro elements, but the customer only has the free plan, they can not export the pro elements 3. If you're selling final products (not customizable), then you can sell it as pdf on Etsy
Hello, as of the moment, Canva enables creators to share their template links, even for users with free accounts. Buyers can now access and create copies of these templates. Hello! So I opened my shop almost a month ago. I created my shop bc I found a couple of high search low competition keywords, like really great results. I’m not getting any views. I made one organic sale and a few sales from friends and family hoping that would help my products show up in the search. Do you have any tips on how to get your products shown in the first couple of pages on search? Or how to refine your keywords when you’re already using strong ones? I’m at a loss and really discouraged!
Hello Ray! There are already plenty of video tutorials available that guide you step-by-step in creating products. My focus is primarily on teaching how you can effectively sell these products on Etsy. :)
Hi, @irenelee5604! Sorry, but I'm not offering 1-on-1 coaching calls anymore, but I do have a shop review service on my website if you're interested! www.brandontimothy.com/
if i use pro elements do people with non pro account get to edit it without paying. because it be weird for them to buy my template only for them to pay again
If you have pro elements in the design, the customer will need a pro account to edit/export the pro designs. If you only use free elements in your designs, then your customer doesn't need a pro account. Hope this helps.
The links you've created will still work, but you may lose access to some premium features. You'll still be able to view the designs, but editing options may be limited compared to when you had an active subscription.
Hi! I am from Kenya...does my location affect my etsy shop even though I want to sell digital products.... Because I see many of etsy shops from Kenyan sellers with almost zero sales.... Please help me
I think location might affect it. I'm located in the Netherlands and I have the idea that location is important to Etsy, although it are digital files. This didn't use to be so in the past as I sold mostly to the USA. But the last months sales primarily come from countries close to me although for digital sales it wouldn't matter. Kind a sucks.
Hey there! With digital products, there are no shipping charges to worry about. Since digital products are delivered electronically, there are no physical items to ship, which means you won't incur any shipping costs. :)
Super confused on this and I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere 🤣 if I make a template using Canva pro elements and direct the buyer back to Canva via the link will the buyer be able to have access to the pro elements on the design or not? And would they be able to download it for free?
If you create a template using Canva Pro elements and direct the buyer back to Canva via the link, the buyer will need to have a Canva Pro subscription to access and edit the design with Pro elements. Without a Canva Pro subscription, they may not be able to fully utilize the Pro features.
