I use dry pinto beans in the pressure cooker. I just like my beans from scratch. I'm not sure if y'all know this or not but if you're using your dry beans put them in the refrigerator the day before you're going to cook them. Put em in a bowl of water with a little bit of salt and let them soak a day. If you don't have a whole day 4 to 6 hours is good too. What this does is help that pressure cooker to really cook them fast fast. My beans are usually done anywhere from 17 to 20 minutes. The soaking method also helps the beans not to make you gassy.
You know, I think that if you create your own Rickey Smiley’s dry seasoning blends, many people will support it. I’m almost certain that it would sell well because people would be buying because they love the product as well as you! (Bet it would be perfect for winter crockpot cooking too!)
I bumped my head when the camera fell...🤣🤣 I'm okay now! Sitting up straight again!! You're right...in my office door shut laughing at you Rickey Smiley!!! Thank you for the Pinto Beans recipe.
My moma is one of the best cooks I know. But the one thing that she has ALWAYS done is use canned LUCK'S pinto beans. Although they're outta the can, she still cooks them slow & on low. She usually adds whole okra & a leftover ham bone or if not, smoked ham hocks or smoked turkey necks. Another thing she likes to cook with Luck's pintos are pig ears or feet & white rice. It just goes together from some reason. That juice from the beans over that rice puts you in the mind of red beans & rice & sometimes she'll use black-eyed peas or field peas instead of the pintos & it's just as good. Another thing she made us growing up was Luck's pintos and ground beef. I used to love eating pork-n-beans & weenies but sometimes she make me the pintos & hamburger meat instead. Try everything out that I just mentioned & you'll thank me later....I promise. Especially the pintos & ground beef because if you have kids, this will feed a lot & everyone will get full.
Hey 👋🏻 Rickey!! You don't look crazy to me! You look wonderful! Thank you for the step by step recipe for your Pinto Beans 🙏🏻 I'm definitely going to try this.. I will make me some Corn Bread🌽🍞 Muffins to go with it. I do need a pressure cooker first. Once I make it.. I'll post it. Thank you for the laughs about the sausage!! 😂😂😂😂 only one and only you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I made these pintos to the tee on Sunday morning, I saved some of the broth for future turkey dressing, but honestly best I've ever had and made. Shredding the turkey meat and adding the sausage just makes it a complete meal. Thanks Rickey
This ain't nothing but God speaking to my heart after a terrible day! Nothing better than a soul warming bowl of pinto beans seasoned the right way🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Soooo as a follow up…. I followed the recipe but only had a crockpot and yes it took all day lol. But the results along with some cornbread was DEE-licious🎉 Yes Sir!!!! Thank you again🙏
It might me 90 degrees right now in my neck of the woods but I’m definitely making these beans for dinner tomorrow with a side of hot water cornbread! 😋 Thanks for this recipe Rickey! 👍🏾
Gm you're so gorgeous beautiful sorry to bother you and ask you are you single i'm asking because i would love to have have a chance to get to know you🥰💙 are you single❤️?
I made these the first time just from listening to you on the radio. I remembered every ingredient while driving to work. I ran into to work wrote it down went home & made it. It was the bomb!! That was a month ago now my boyfriend is asking me make it again.
I ❤ it! I'm using this same recipe for some black eye peas. By the time I started watching I had every seasoning in there except for the thyme. I just added the thyme to the pot. Instead of bell pepper I cut up some celery. I used all of my bell peppers for the fajitas I made the other night. I boiled some smoked turkey tails. I like to cut the meat off the turkey tails, and add the pieces & the bone in the crock. I haven't cooked this in a long time. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Thanks for sharing

Rickey, I made this for me and my husband! He said it's the perfect Fall/Winter recipe. It was absolutely delicious. 😋 I made your green beans during the Holidays last year when you released the recipe. 😋 I want to say "Thank you!" ❤️ *Rickey's recipe book is coming soon. *Better than bouillon spokes person.
Wow!!!! Rickey, we almost use the same ingredients for pinto beans. I haven't tried the liquid smoke or thyme in mine, but I will try that from now on. I know this pot of beans gon' be fie'🔥!!!!!!!😋😛☺
Not only did I go out and buy and the exact ingredients for this recipe... I went and bought the exact pressure cooker!!! Rickey I can't wait to cook this when I get home!!!😋😋😋 Thank you for sharing this recipe.🙂
That's how you do it. Some people call this the lazy way. Whatever is a quick and tasty meal. In fact i just grabbed a some dry beans .Thanks for sharing.
I guess canned beans are a quick way to serve beans, but I'm from New Orleans and my grandmother would never. My mother would never, and I also would never lol. That's one of the foods that I always cook from scratch. Especially if you have a pressure cooker it won't take that long. I just cook mine on a day where I can just slow cook them.
Guh!!🤣😂 I'm from Shreveport n I'm like wtf they doing😂🤣 I would never my mommie would never lmao I'll stick with my soaked beans over night just to cook em all-day😂🤣 omg city ppl are too different I think that's why the city will always have so many places to eat at cuz can't nobody cook frfr lmao I needed to see this comment I thought I was an lil off 😂😂

Yes, Rickey, yes!! Them Pinto beans looks delicious!! Pinto beans was my favorite beans when I was growing up and I still love them. Beans and bags of Uncle Ben rice is two pantry items that I really stocked up on when the pandemic hit. Black, red, white/Northern, Pinto, Kidney beans is my top choices. Thanks for sharing your recipe ❤.
Beans look very delicious! Only way I'm eating them is, you make em, and guess who's coming to dinner!!!!! I was ROTF🤣😂with the sheers, sausage, and not a chain saw!!!!🤣😂😁 Wowwheee. You did a great job on this.💜
I just saw this and your funny even when it comes to cooking and Thank you for showing using cooking shear's I just started using them the last couple of years and I am hooked. So thanks as well as showing your cooking skill's. That can of slap your ma ma I hollered, because when I eat something I really enjoy I will say that from time to time. But I did not know it was a real product. Anyway I will be listening to you more at my age. I need to laugh more that is one thing I have not done much of in my life. And you are real and funny !!! I always heard about you but I was not into watching you. But now is the time and season, because of where you are at this time in your life it is encouraging me. So Thanks. I know your kids and grandkids love and enjoy you highly. They are Blessed. I don't know you but as a black mother you make me Proud.
I soaked mine overnight and boiled for about 10 minutes and poured off that gassy water and ate mine in 20 minutes while frying hot water corn bread 😋😉
You have a pressure cooker you can pressure cook a pound of dry beans in about 20-30 mins. Try it one day when you get a chance! You can freeze the extra beans until you are ready to make a pot of beans.
Ricky your a mess. I am sitting here in AZ. smiling and laughing. You have made my day talking about them cooking shears are for the sausage and not your man.
