My home girl is from Dawson,Ga but moved to Texas and they don't have that sausage in TX at all! She swear to Jesus that Conecuh is the best sausage ever! Everytime she come home or family come home she has them bring some back! Lol Now I got to try it!

I'm in Illinois, family is from GA. Everytime we are down south we get those sausages and bring them home, on the plane and all. Lol! There is none like those sausages!!! Thanks Rickey!

That's more of a concoction than chili. It looks really good, though. I love the colors of the peppers and those chunky onions.

I made this chilli today it was the absolute best. The only thing I did different was cut my peppers a little smaller, still big.

Made it and fell in love with this recipe. Rick should make a recipe book.

I've made this twice now and the only thing I did different this time is instead of using ground chuck I used ground turkey and instead of rice I used shell pata ... and named it in your honor as 'Crimson Tide Gumbo' the family loves it.... thanks for the recipe 🥰🥰

That sausage straight from my hometown: Evergreen, Alabama WOOP-WOOP 😄 I use those peppers for everything too. Omg stir fried/grilled over white rice with a side of grape tomatoes! So deli-cio😋

Rickey I add a little brown sugar to mines.

Looks good. The only change I'd make is cutting the peppers smaller. Seems like they'll be too overwhelming that size and take away from the other ingredients.

Yes the shrimp will cook because the pot is hot. It will steam itself in the chili. Leave the shrimp in for 15 minutes before eating

it looks more like gumbo than chili bc chili is thick. it looks good though.
