Given the recent news on the rise in loneliness in Toronto, I wanted to create a video discussing the hurdles I encountered with loneliness-from my move to Toronto at 18 to my current solo living and rent responsibilities. While I'm fortunate to now have a great support system now, that wasn't always the case. I get into the strategies I used to navigate solitary days, how I naturally formed connections through activities I genuinely enjoyed, and my initial experience trying therapy.
At the end, I touch on the ongoing challenge of dealing with loneliness, stressing that even with people around, one can still feel lonely-and that's perfectly fine. It's crucial to understand that what works for me may not be a universal solution.
I'll see you all in the next one,
-Frank
