My dad was posted in the same location of BSF in year 1991. We stayed in Kashmir from 1990 to 1998. Seen lot of bloodshed. Then posted to Takenpur 1999 to 2004.

We had a Garhwali girl in class. In winter when we wore thick jackets, she would roam around in a thin half sweater. Once I asked her why she bothered with that at all since she seemed impervious to cold. She laughed and said she wore it for our benefit because if she didn't wear any sweater at all people started asking even more questions and offering her shawls.

आपने आज मेरी भी कुछ याद ताजा कर दी।मेरे साथ भी कुछ ऐसी घटनाएं हुई थी पूंछ मे शॉर्टकट के चक्कर मे माइन फील्ड मे घुसना और POK छूते हुए वापस आ जाना। गली मैदान से पहले आयरन ब्रिज था शायद।और उसके ऊपर नारिया गांव से होते हुए आँगन पत्थरी फिर उसके ऊपर अनिता टॉप। जहाँ से आप गुलमर्ग को जा सकते है ऐसा कहा जाता था। Jai hind majour sahab कितनी ही यादे है उस समय की जो बेहतरीन है।
