Very interesting that I found you. I stopped painting when the pandemic started and I have no reason why other than I knew I would never make the effort that I need to do in order to get online and sell paintings. Thanks for this video Lori the painting is absolutely gorgeous. I love it. I’ve been trying to get the Liquitex spray bombs, but they won’t ship it to Canada. Do you varnish your paintings when they are finished? Some say “you must” to protect the work. And I do like varying from matte to high gloss. BUT... i really like just the paints finish. And sometimes that gets lost when varnishing. Thoughts? (I think I’ve filled my question quota 😬🥸). Thanks again Lori. Congrats....lovely hearing about your results!

Do you build your own wood frames and stretch canvas? If so that would be a great lesson. Do you ever remove canvas to send to customers?

Can you explain what you mean by mark making ? I also wonder about when you know that your painting is finished. For a commission you might have a few conditions you need to fulfil, but other than that, when doyou know your painting is done? Music seems to impact the movement in your artwork. Reminds me of Jonas Gerard. Thank you for sharing your process. Your videos encourage me to just go for it & let the music take over. 😉

Interesting that you don't really keep cool and warm colors separate and yet your canvas doesn't get muddy. It perhaps is because of the size of your canvas? I do notice you try to put lighter green on top of darker green- have seen many other artists do this technique as well- which really has a cool effect. I have also seen other artists mix their colors in the same way- for the same reasons-- to keep a cohesive and consistent color theme throughout the canvas- the colors just go together better when you mix in just a little of the paint together. Big fan of mixing your own paints- super fun to watch, too!! I am curious to know how long a bigger canvas like this - if you were inspired and worked on it fairly consistently - perhaps not a commision but one you were just inspired to make- would take you. You mentioned in a different video the smaller 10 x 10 inch were about 10-15 minutes. I like the idea of working on bigger pieces, but I have never really gone BIG -- limited by space. LOL

This piece is so amazing!! Have you ever worked on a commissioned piece and had it take a wrong turn so much that you just painted over it and started all over? Doing a commission seems both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time!!

Hi Lori, Thanks for sharing your process. You're so fun to watch. I've got to admit that white scares me. Once I get all that nice colour down, it's hard for me to put white over top. White always looks kinda chaulky on my canvas. Yours looks great though. Is there a reason you chose not to put anymore colour on the right hand area? Because you liked it? Or did it have meaning for your client? Thanks again. I loved seeing your pallet.

I dig that painting a lot! Where do you store all your finished paintings.. do you pay for a storage space or do you have a garage or something like that? Just wondering because all these paintings start to take up space until they find their forever home. Keep up the great work!😁👍

Love your work! I’ve seen your work in the six and it definitely has a much more deeper complexity that cannot be seen on camera. Where do you get your inspiration from? What do you do when you are in a creative block?
