How I Play with Clubs in The Sims 4 for more FUN & DRAMA!

In today's video, I'm sharing how I play Clubs in The Sims 4 for maximum fun and drama! I use clubs to keep family and friends connected, help my Sims find romance, and indulge in their favorite hobbies. In my opinion, the Clubs from the Get Together expansion are one of the best features in The Sims 4. I hope I can inspire you to use them more in your own games!

Never thought of using Clubs as a means to enforce relevant automated behavior. That's actually genius! And of course, it also highlights the fact that players have to "hack" the game in this way to get their sims to behave more naturally. 😅

I also really like to set up clubs with coworkers - in some careers you need to 'connect with coworkers' as a daily task, and especially if you work from home, you won't know them! So for my sims in PR, I like to set up an 'agency' they all work at and then have them socialise at after work drinks etc. I love your sims videos, Cindy! They make me want to play the game more than any other haha, I love having systems and my own lore as well x

The club feature is my absolute favorite feature. I do use it in basically the same way. I love that you can set how the club reacts to the members and everyone else (love a good rivalry). It also really helps community lots come alive when different clubs meet once you load into a lot. Adds extra function when making multifunctional lots. I couldn't play without it anymore! Watching your videos again has gotten me to open my game back up!

I have only recently starting using clubs (despite owning get together for years 😅) and it is incredible how much life it can bring to community lots! I have made several multipurpose lots and by having several different clubs meet up there it feels really alive and they won’t just neglect objects that are not associated with the assigned lot type. Johnny Zest has a touring comedy club and they are a hit at my gym/bar in strangerville!

Yes to family clubs! I swear by this; especially for sims who marry into the household aha. Also, I once had a farm and made a group of similar sims.. had “care for animals” as one of their preferred activities.. gamechanger. Was pleasantly surprised when they all started taking care of my lambs etc for me and made my life a LOT easier 😂 group meetings nearly became a daily occurrence haha x

Hey Cindy! An idea for the hobby clubs for your Pleasantview savefile is to recreate the different hobby lots from the Sims 2 in Newcrest and have those as the different club hangouts ;)!

Lol! Great minds think alike! I've already started creating them! Well, I started with the gym for poor Don. Since he's all alone in the Fitness club. 😆 But I think I'll put some of them in Magnolia Promenade because I have other plans for Newcrest.

I honestly don’t use the clubs system nearly enough, I might adapt some of this to my gameplay. My Casandra has a daughter and is currently divorced from Don (who has 5 baby mamas) . And I’ve struggled keeping the Goth family connected playing them in seperate households. Especially since Cassandra lives in San Sequoia now. Alex is a teen and Bella randomly had a baby named Layton while I was figuring out if I wanted neighborhood stories in my rotation and before I really integrated the Goths with my custom families. So Layton is a child and still lives at home.

In one save that I have Daniel and Don each have a separate 'maid club'. The clubs consist of Don and Kaylynn or in Daniels's case, Daniel and Kaylynn. The activities include cleaning and woohooing. Brilliant!

This is such a good idea! I do a version of this in sims 2 to go on outings. I feel like this is the one thing Sims 4 did well by expanding on that system and making it better.

You can use MCCC to modify the maximum capacity of sims in a club. That way you won't be limited to 8 sims per club. Hope this comment is useful!

Yup always use clubs. Usually homework clubs for school and university I find really useful to get my Sims to do their homework.

I use clubs for many reasons. I also like having friend and family clubs. Sometimes I use them for personal gain, like a painting club, but my leader gets all the money and fame from the paintings. 😂

Omg Get Together is probably the only pack I can't live without. I use the club system in every one of my saves. I've never thought to add a Singles Club though, so now you've given me some new ideas!

Ah Cindy I love your Sims videos. Via MCCC, you can cheat your club points to buy the perk that increases club size slightly. I also keep my family clubs Invite Only so no randos join, they call and ask all the time lol Some different clubs I make are Research/Debate, Simwood Celebrity Guild, Gardener's, Chess Enthusiasts, Coworker Clubs, Daycare, Book Club, Art Class, Little League, Boxing Buddies, Yoga Class, etc.

I use clubs for royal lets play (I pick the queens court and the kings court and pick outfits and things for them to do, clans and different jobs for peasents too) and then I use clubs for normal lets play for my families and change out the activities for my sims to do throughout the day so i dont have to control every single thing.

Totally agree, Get Together is probably the best pack! I love clubs, they make gameplay so much better. For age clubs I do kids, teens, and elders. I also sometimes do career clubs, trait based clubs (materialistic sims meet at retail lots called "shopaholics"; romantic unmarried young adults + adults meet at nightclubs "singles night"), and a few other things (parents in the same world "mom/parent network")

A few sims having the nature hobby makes sense. Mortimer: "He has an unusual fondness for insects". John: "wishes to continue the tradition of weeding and watering his garden" Angela: "dreams of being a fishing boat captain".

Hi Cindy! Just wanted to say that I'm so glad you're back! I wanted to make sure you knew that MCCC will allow you to increase the number of sims that can be in a club. I use it so I can have the whole family in the club. Also, wanted to let you know that Zero has a mod that works the same as the NPC Controller and is updated more frequently if you wanted to check it out. AND... Thought I might mention Kuttoe's Home Regions in case that was something you might be interested in as well. I use it in my game and it allows me to keep sims to specific regions. Anyhoo! I love the way you play sims and I am an avid follower of most of your play style :)

I don't play Sims 4 but I do the same thing in Sims 2 using the groups feature from nightlife. So fun to have a kids dance club, or teen study group, or adult book club. Great ideas in this video!

I like to make a book club for my young mothers so that I prioritize them having a social life. Activities are read books, be friendly, be funny, and talk about books. I might also do a drink nectar or drink coffee/tea. I also make a point of having all children in the family be introduced to the club members to make birthdays and kids events easier. I also like to do a study club that has a meeting place of the library for geek and genius teens. For active children, I make a play club with a meeting place of the park

I like using groups to flesh out/make more afterschool extracurriculars for the teens and kids to join, like making a basketball team, for example, or expanding on the Drama Club afterschool activity. I think a Mom's Group (or Dad's Group) club for all the local moms to get together and chitchat over coffee about their kids and support each other would be pretty cute :)

In my current TS2 game, Don's OTH is Science... maybe because I'm using a clean template? I thought I remembered it being fitness, so seeing you say that here just confirms that something is odd with my Pleasantview in TS2. I love the way you do clubs. I thought you’d like what I do. I basically recreate townies from Sims 2 like “the slobs” as a club and have them gather at community lots to do gross actions lol, like dumpster dive, dumpster woohoo, fart, burp etc. basically you can make special townies using clubs.

Get Together is probably my favorite Sims 4 expansion pack, I love the club feature! I like to create clubs for each community lot. That way I can simulate them having regular visitors. I also like to create rival clubs to add more drama.

It would be interesting if people who have the zombie apocalypse mod were to make a club of zombies that go out and attack sims, and people with the extreme violence mod could make a club that's a street gang. I might have to do the zombie club sometime.

Clubs can be used for “online dating” too. Put similar traits to yours and also what traits you’re looking for then you have a group to choose from. Invite all your prospects and watch. Who will your sim choose or which sim chooses your sim?!

I love clubs, it’s a fun way for my sims to socialize and build relationships. I do the same but also if my sim gets asked to join the premades I’ll do gathering and let them socialize that way.

I love clubs❤ I make witch coven , vampire coven , and the vampire victims clubs lol and for werewolves I also use it for family and love matches for sims and I give the children and teens clubs I also use it for royal sims play with the royalty mod 😊

I want to suggest a gameplay mod that I think would be perfect for your style of playing. It's called 'Errant-Thoughts'. This mod adds a moodlet and notification system that is not too intrusive, but it allows your sims to have thoughts about what they desire in life or if they want to make any changes. It's fascinating to be able to get a glimpse into my sims' minds.

I usually stick to hobby-based clubs, but I'm interested in trying age-based ones as well! Also, sorry for suggesting so many mods, but I just remembered you might like the functional wall phone (one by cepzid and another by awingedllama) and Ravasheen has a newspaper mod! (also sorry if you already knew about them! 😅)

Splitting the clubs by spouses means you can invite both sides of the families because I’m pretty sure you can only have one club going at a time from the active sim.

Honestly, I never use clubs. I do want to though. I’m starting a new challenge hopefully tomorrow, and those challenge ideas would be fantastic for some generations of my game. I’m making my own challenge. :)

I agree clubs are amazing! I absolutely cannot play clubs without mccc increasing members setting, i like to be able to have larger clubs than just 8 members Is brittany oldie from one of your lets plays? I never would have expected Dina to have a nature hobby! One thing I do like to do with some clubs in my game is create rivalries, where one club activity will be mean to members of another club or stuff like that, even two clubs of the same goal, like two basketball teams who are against each other, or two groups of friends who are enemies. It creates a lot of drama haha

its because theres a 20 sims limit, if you cheat and add 20 sims to your family or club and they all appear no one will be in the world, it will be a ghost world, because only 20 sims are allowed on a lot at once.

I'm not saying that they should all visit at the same time. You could choose the 6 who you wanted out of the list of family members that were in your club. Just like when you travel and it asks who do you want to travel with. It would just be a way of keeping your family members together. Hope this makes sense.

My current sim I’m playing with uses it to run her own yoga classes. I start club gatherings and force them to join my private yoga classes. 😂

I adore the clubs, I even like the premade clubs. I do mostly hobby/lifestyle based clubs for everyone teen and up (including a singles club for YA and older), some type of teen club(s), and a children based club so every kid/teen can meet their neighbors. Some type of neighborhood book club is great too. Clubs are also great for making teenage cliques to be mean to eachother (I like putting Angela in the Paragons and Angela in the Renegades) and creating vampire/witch/werewolf covens, and whatever the equivalent of an alien coven is lol Nina should become the new president when Don gets kicked out by getting married, imagine the drama of him coming back and he cant take back his crown. Singles club Game of Thrones! 😂

I just have them memorized now because I've played them so much. But you can use Sim Blender to check in-game, and some of them are listed on the Sims Wiki.

Great ideas, thanks! I create clubs but then I forget to have them actually meet up. My favorite way to use clubs is to simply find other sims in certain age groups to meet, then I immediately delete the club since those new contacts show up in the relationship panel. I don’t create singles clubs anymore because last I checked, they ALL flirted but I don’t know if the gender preferences fixed that.

Get Together is a MUST HAVE pack just for the clubs. It changed the way I played the sims. My sims actually leave the house AND have friends!
